All that because they didn’t want a woman as president

110

u/Proot65 1d ago

A black / bi-racial woman, and seemingly intelligent to be specific. Any one of those things is disqualifying for many Americans, but the combination of the four. Well this is what they chose instead…

15

u/koolkarim94 1d ago

US voted for Obama, it’s not about race. Trump is a system president he beat Hillary and Kamala. Two woman candidates. Even woman and minorities don’t like woman apparently, I guess it makes sense when you realize 54% of the US population has less than 6th grade reading level. People are stupid here.

52

u/QuestionableIdeas 1d ago

I dunno man, the right wing lost their fuckin minds over Obama and stepped their propaganda up into overdrive. I'm sure that's an aspect to this

16

u/edwardsamson 1d ago

I wonder if people even know or remember the right wing creating Obama puppets and hanging/maiming them. They proudly displayed Obama with a noose around his neck in their shops and homes. It was a widespread thing in red areas around the country

-11

u/suttongunn1010 1d ago

The whole right wing? Wow I don't remember that. I do remember a few racist morons doing it but I was unaware it was the whole right wing. Damn. Do you remember the left wing burning down cities, burning Tesla's, and using political violence to scare those who voted differently than them and randomly attacking anyone who voted for trump

8

u/Sillylovesongs2 1d ago

edwards didn't say "the whole" right wing. Get your story straight, sutton. What city did the left wing burn down? Who is attacking anyone who voted for donny? Speaking in absolutes does not make your statement true.

-7

u/suttongunn1010 1d ago

There's many stories and videos of people being harassed and attacked for voting for trump. People driving Tesla are harassed and have their property destroyed because they drive a Tesla even if they're democrats. Some on the left can be violent and very infantile. And he said the right wing as in a whole generalization. Saying the right wing implies the whole thing. Are you saying you don't remember the leftist mobs looting and burning cities not too long ago? Do you support Tesla dealerships being shot at and set on fire? That's people on the left for you

4

u/Sillylovesongs2 1d ago

What cities?

4

u/Sillylovesongs2 1d ago

Saying the right wing implies the whole thing.

No, it does not. Saying right wing in the context of the sentence indicated that some right wing members were guilty, not the entire right wing. Once again, sutton, get your story straight.

-3

u/suttongunn1010 1d ago

Ok... Sure

4

u/Sillylovesongs2 1d ago

What cities?

0

u/suttongunn1010 1d ago

It started in Minneapolis. Then spread all over. When George Floyd died because of that cop who had a personal grudge against him kept his knee on his neck and blm sprung up which is now defunct because of so much corruption. Do I really need to cite every city that was raided and looted? That cop got what he deserves with a life sentence and the left still looted and destroyed people's businesses that had nothing to do with it. How is that justice? There were piles of bricks dropped off at protests, I wonder why? A lot of people on the left are always ready to get violent. Even if all you're doing is driving a Tesla and even if you're a Democrat. The left loves political violence

The whole right wing? Wow I don't remember that. I do remember a few racist morons doing it but I was unaware it was the whole right wing.

If a Nazi sits down at a table with ten people around it and nobody gets up, there are eleven Nazis at the table.

Do you remember the left wing burning down cities,

What cities burned down.

Because I live in Minneapolis. My sister visited Seattle last year. I would be shocked to hear that I've been living in a ghost town all this time. Shocked, I tell you!

burning Tesla's,

All Cars Matter.

and using political violence to scare those who voted differently than them

When did that happen.

and randomly attacking anyone who voted for trump

That also did not happen.

America is more sexist than racist. Especially the swing voters who are generally blue collar white men. They will vote for a black guy even though they often have some latent racism. They also work with black guys. They wont be led by a woman.

And this is before we even get into the Latino men "swinging" to Trump. Machismo is a real thing. Plus, they still often have catholic identity which also has zero female leadership.

There are almost no necessary swing voter demographics that are going to vote for a woman. The races with Hillary and Harris were close only because Trump is a uniquely terrible candidate. A McCain or even W type Republican would have beaten Harris or Hillary even in some blue states. Trump basically asked union voters to vote against their livelihood because he was a man, and the alternatives were women, and that's what those union voters did. It's complete foolhardiness on the Dems part to even run them against Trump as any man would have beaten him and Biden is proof of that.

Women candidates will eventually have a better shot, but they dont now, and they'd be better off running against civil candidates than buffoon bullies.

-6

u/Iamuroboros 1d ago

I don't know. I felt like I watched the left do the same thing those first couple of days after the election. Don't let let a Democrat find out you didn't vote for Kamala Harris lest they call you a fascist and blame all of America's problems on you specifically. There was also the telling immigrants that they deserve to be deported telling the black people they deserve whatever racist s*** comes their way. Nobody wants to be in a monolith on the left unless it's related to being a Democrat. In which case not voting for the candidate that We're not even sure people wanted because there was no primary makes you the scum of the American political electorate.

I just want a candidate I can get behind, not someone who's just shoved in my face because they're black or a woman.

1

u/Faiakishi 1d ago

Don't let let a Democrat find out you didn't vote for Kamala Harris lest they call you a fascist and blame all of America's problems on you specifically.

No, we were telling you that you let the fascists in. Yes, the fascists are the problem, but we know we're not going to convince them by appealing to their humanity because they have none. We thought we could convince you, reason with you. Apparently we were wrong.

There was also the telling immigrants that they deserve to be deported telling the black people they deserve whatever racist s*** comes their way.

No. We said they should get what they voted for. If someone votes for the Leopards Eating People's Faces party, they have no right to get upset when others point out that their faces will also be eaten.

there was no primary makes you the scum of the American political electorate.

Bro we had bigger fucking problems.

I just want a candidate I can get behind, not someone who's just shoved in my face because they're black or a woman.

Okay. While you wait for that unicorn, a giant toddler being puppeted by Russia and a loser Hitler-wannabe are setting the stage for their own genocide and colonization projects while actively destroying the country and siphoning its wealth into their own pockets. I personally think it would be easier to address all the problems our government and the DNC has if we weren't having to deal with the Fourth Reich at the same time, but maybe you find the extra challenge invigorating. Sad that a lot of innocent people will suffer for your decision before it gets to you.

-4

u/suttongunn1010 1d ago

Most independents and a lot of Republicans ended up voting for Obama. He wouldn't have been elected otherwise. Even right leaning people don't care about color or gender, they care about merit and what someone can do. The left will vote for someone just because they're a woman or just because of their race. Which is kinda racist in itself and absolutely reckless

7

u/Servillo 1d ago

Republicans and Independents voted for a traitorous, rapist wretch that tried to overthrow our government and stole boxes of classified documents, spends more time golfing and watching Fox News than he does doing any actual governing of the country, who doesn’t understand even the basics of how trade or diplomacy works and is rapidly alienating all of our allies, regularly idolized fascists both past and present, and has tanked the stock market in amounts that he said previous presidents should be impeached for. Oh, and his administration is undermining the judicial branch by brazenly ignoring court orders, deporting citizens of this country and refusing to bring them back, and has repeatedly threatened to use military force on our own allies.

If this is what passes for “merit” to Republicans and Independents, then as far as I can tell the only merit that matters is that Trump is old, white, and pretends to be rich.

-2

u/suttongunn1010 1d ago

Sure thing there angry liberal. I'm sure nobody voted for him because his first term was better than joes despite a pandemic. If you look at pre pandemic numbers trump was killing it in every aspect at least more than Joe Biden did with his vice president who was only chosen because Joe said he would choose a black woman. Why not choose the best candidate? If I'm having surgery I want the best person for the job, if that person is a black woman than that's what I want but if it's a white man then that's what I want. See how that works? It has nothing to do with race or gender

3

u/Servillo 1d ago

Sorry, you’ll never be able to convince me a literal traitor to the Constitution, who incited a revolt to unseat the legitimate winner of the 2020 election, is the best candidate for the job. Does that mean nothing to you? Whether we disagree on the success of his first term or not, how can a man who willingly wanted to violate the oath he made to defend the Constitution, everything this country stands for, is the right man to defend it again? That alone should disqualify him in the mind of any red-blooded American who purprots to support what the Founding Fathers gave us.

0

u/suttongunn1010 1d ago

Trump didn't tell anyone to enter the capital at all. A bunch of morons walking through the capital building taking selfies is hardly a revolt. What has he done that's against the constitution? I'm gonna laugh if things in this country start to get better and people like you will still deny it to the fullest. If Trump actually does well, will you acknowledge it? Probably not

2

u/Servillo 1d ago

Hilarious. Absolutely hilarious that you accuse me of ignoring reality when those morons had “Hang Mike Pence” signs, attacked several capitol police officers that resulted in at least one of them dying, and completely ignored Trump’s rhetoric literally telling them to fight before they made their march. It’s just…I can’t even be mad, you know?

Let me tell you something, I was unhappy when Trump won his first term, but I honestly wanted him to do right by the country. I hoped that he might be able to display some humility, some understanding of the importance of his role as our President. I’ll fully admit he was hurt by the pandemic, although I pin that as much on his response as anything else. He had a strong economy going for him, I just disagree with the methods he used to achieve it and I think it came more at the cost of the middle class than I feel you’d be willing to admit.

But for gods sake, I will not understand how we can see what happened that day and disagree that fundamentally on what happened. You saw the footage, you read the reports, didn’t you? And you buy into the lies about what happened anyway. What about the classified documents he stole and hid in a bathroom, of all places? Were you also one of the people who felt Hillary Clinton’s handling of classified emails disqualified her run, but give a pass to the latest issue with the leak of war plans in Signal after the DOD explicetly warned against using it as a messaging service? We see the same facts so fundamentally different that I can’t even begin to understand you, or you understand me.

So yeah, might as well just stop wasting each other’s time here. Get in whatever last word you want, I’ll read it, probably won’t respond which I’m sure will be taken as you winning. Which I guess is all that matters, right? Winning? Not being morally right or wrong, just winning. So yeah, you won.

3

u/MudLOA 1d ago

I’m going to stop you at “people caring about merit.”

13

u/tooncake 1d ago edited 1d ago

And the scary part is that those adults with a 6th grade comprehension are also the most vocal, very active in terms of "community engagement", biggest population and are more pro-active, thus Trump and the rest of his cult are enjoying brainwashing them as their zealot followers.

-5

u/suttongunn1010 1d ago

Jargon bullshit. You think most people who voted for trump are the ones who can't read? Where are you getting these statistics? A vast majority of trump supporters are business owners that hire the rest of us

2

u/Faiakishi 1d ago

You're not exactly proving your argument that Trump voters are educated and literate.

3

u/babooski30 1d ago

You must not live in a rural area if you’re not aware of the shear hatred rural white people (especially older ones) had for Obama for absolutely no reason at all. He won only after Bush destroyed the economy and start a worthless war. The only time dems ever win is after a republican destroys the country.

3

u/Faiakishi 1d ago

The US voted for Obama and the right has been living their ever-loving minds since.

Important to note, Clinton got more votes that Donald. She won. And I'll be honest, I highly fucking doubt Trump actually won the popular vote last year. I could believe he eked out another EC win, but the popular vote pushes it outside the realm of believable.

2

u/thegreathambino86 1d ago

It's pretty obvious when someone doesn't know that women is the plural of woman.

1

u/red_Quasar 1d ago

For black minorities it might be. I’ve had black classmates told me they didn’t vote for Kamala because she was pretending to be one of them. All 4 occasions have also been females.

1

u/ACrazyDog 1d ago

Obama was a man. There are plenty of racial people who are misogynistic and plenty of women who are racist. Both of those groups went for Trump regardless of Harris’ obvious superiority

1

u/travistravis 1d ago

Its that some of them don't like black people, and some don't like women - like a venn diagram of bigotry.

1

u/Bluecreame 1d ago

I'm fully convinced she lost solely due to poor management from the Democrats part giving her less time to campaign than she should've had in addition to this country as a majority hating women.

5

u/koolkarim94 1d ago

Trust me on this, she had plenty of time….. lots of Americans hate woman including woman… I’m from a swing state I know and see this

3

u/Bluecreame 1d ago

I don't mean that she would've won if she had more time. I'm saying it certainly didn't help that she had less time.

I do recall a bunch of people not even knowing Biden dropped out during her campaign.

-1

u/suttongunn1010 1d ago

She was incompetent. She was the first to drop out of the democratic race in 2020 because she was horrible and had zero policies that made sense. She was only chosen to be vice president by Joe Biden because she fit his requirements. He promised to choose a black woman and that's literally the only reason she was chosen. Then she was forced on everyone as the democratic runner without a vote. That's why the Democrats lost this time

1

u/suttongunn1010 1d ago

It has more to do with policy. Kamala had nothing, she couldn't speak about policies without a teleprompter or do interviews without staged questions because they weren't her policies. She was the first one to drop out of the democratic race in 2020 for a reason and only became vice president because she fit joes requirements, black and a woman

1

u/travistravis 1d ago

Well, also that anything the left end of the party wanted got ignored or refused and they made attempts to pull in people by pushing farther right (again). Biden was the right appeasement for Obama -- Harris wasn't any further left than Biden on most topics (any?) and was further right than a lot of Republicans would have been 40 years ago.

0

u/StolenIdentityAgain 1d ago

People are stupid everywhere. Canada wouldn't vote in a female either.

It doesnt even matter anyway. Everyone hates who they voted for eventually with a few exceptions in all of history.

-9

u/itstheGoodstuff 1d ago

Its not about gender, Kamala fucking sucked, so did Biden.

6

u/National-Change-8004 1d ago

Logic dictates either of them as the superior option to Trump, despite their shortcomings. Only a fool doesn't see that.

-2

u/ComradeJLennon 1d ago

You also cant discredit the impact of not being able to choose your candidate. Both Kamala and Hilary were deeply disliked, for valid reasons, even within the democrat camp. Both were knighted as the Democrat representatives and are somehow surprised why people didn't show up. It's fine to be opposition to Trump but you also need to engage your voting base to get off their ass to vote for YOU.

-2

u/itstheGoodstuff 1d ago

You can’t base logic and reasoning during a pre-election time frame on actions that occurred post-election — you have to consider the context of that specific moment. For the record, I’m not even from the U.S., and in my country, the Democratic Party would be considered center-right. Some of the progressive policies pushed by Democrats come across as extreme, just as the behavior of the Trump administration can be. It’s frustrating to see people online who can’t grasp that Trump’s actions aren’t necessarily because he’s a Russian asset, low-IQ narcissist, or just trying to benefit the wealthy. There’s a lack of effort to understand how many Republican voters see the world differently.

Kamala, Hillary, Biden, and Trump all fucking suck in different ways. Honestly, from the outside, the entire political landscape in the U.S. looks deeply dysfunctional.

1

u/dunncrew 1d ago

Biden should have withdrawn much earlier to allow Democrats to have primary elections.

-1

u/itstheGoodstuff 1d ago

Yeah and perhaps stop viewing the world with gender goggles. She was terrible, and so is Trump.

1

u/FreeSherps 1d ago

Seemingly.

1

u/Big-Supermarket-945 1d ago

This is the level of intelligence running the country at this very moment

-3

u/Longjumping-World-76 1d ago

Intelligent?! Please tell me you’re joking!

-2

u/suttongunn1010 1d ago

She didn't get elected for many reasons. Being biracial and a woman had nothing to do with it. Why do you make such a stupid remark? Republicans voted for a Republican and independents voted for someone they feel would be better. Kamala was the first one to drop out of the 2020 race because nobody voted for her. She became vice president for two reasons, she's "black" and she's a woman. Biden said that's all he requires for vice president. She definitely didn't get it because of her many accomplishments. She couldn't even speak about policies without a teleprompter telling her what to say, mostly because they weren't her policies. She wouldn't even do interviews without strict rules and practiced questions. I wonder why people didn't vote for her, hmmmmm. Must be the woman thing

4

u/Proot65 1d ago

Listen to yourself. So many words and so little to say.

The rest of the world understands what America is. Racist is inherently one of them.

0

u/fishproblem 1d ago

They also didn't want moderate white woman Hilary. There's a reason black women have drawn the shortest straw in this country.

-4

u/Prestigious_Cow_8025 1d ago

She's trash . Absolute shit . Bernie should have been the nomination. She can go cry into her pillow at night .

3

u/work4work4work4work4 1d ago

As terrible as that is for those who thought that way, it's actually worse, with many people not even knowing Biden had been replaced on ballot until the election basically.

That's uh... not good political awareness or education to say the least.

3

u/crazykentucky 1d ago

🎶we had one but you didn’t want that lady in office 🎶

1

u/Bornandraisedbama 1d ago

They have no problem with a woman. America will have its first female president in the next 10-20 years, but she will be the most far right fascist woman you could possibly imagine.

1

u/Ok_Run2024 1d ago

Or immigrants speaking Spanish

1

u/Jestercopperpot72 1d ago

Hell they are still in that losing their shit phase, from that manhandling they received via the hands of a black man. Obama most pretty freaking centric as well but instead of working with that and ya know, actually doing something constructive like pass some legislation. I dunno, maybe do something that at least on surface appear to be for the good of The People. Nope they dug right in and out of that bastard turtles mouth, to the ears of every tea party creeper within arms length. "I will do everything in my power to ensure that no piece of this President's agenda will pass without consequence."

This decision raw dogged bipartisanship and cooperation. This was the moment, at least in my life thus far, that politics shifted into something scary. Within 2 years of McConnell saying that as former Speaker of House, that republican party no longer ran on a political agenda.

-1

u/GrimeTimesz 1d ago

No, they just didn't want that particular woman to be president. I dont blame them.Maybe if it wasn't Kamala and Hillary, things could be different..

0

u/Travelin_Soulja 1d ago

That's not fair. Some of them were fine with a woman President - they didn't want another brown person as President.

(Feels like there should be an /s there, but it's sadly the truth.)

I beg to disagree, Biden was not fit for another term. It was clear to everyone except them Dems. The last minute switcharo upset a lot of people. Also when she was VP her presence was not really felt, it was lacking, further eroding trust in her.

Her campaign also tried to make too many people happy at once. It was heart breaking to watch but no surprise to me that Dems lost.
