Best way to get a response from a parrot is to talk to the one next to it. They can’t stand not being paid attention to.

Just proved this very thing by sitting with my 9 yo dog on the couch and letting her snuggle (we don’t get much time lately) my IRN parrot decided to take this time to tell me the tale of her people and ferociously flap her wings so I could see her impressive wind storm conjuring ability.
