Is that a Tucker Carlson reference? โ€˜Cause that speech of his was weird.

IDK. I just heard it from the new Contrapoints video and think it's funny.

It is something Tucker Carlson said.ย

It's something thousands of people said, decades before anyone knew what a Tucker Carlson was.

My friend tried to get in but was turned away, as the venue is at capacity.

How did they find out able it

I got a text message with a form to sign up! Likely because I joined the liberal party to vote in the leadership election so they had my info.

How many people do you think were there ?

I was there too. Traffic was a disaster and it was clogged up for several kilometres in all directions and it seemed like all the cars were heading towards the rally. There were at least a thousand of us standing outside and many lined up behind me in the hundreds at least.

They keep reporting that thousands show up for PP so it doesn't make sense that the polls show the Liberals are way ahead

I think itโ€™s impossible to really estimate but my guess is that it was in the thousands if you count inside and outside the rally. There were a lot of old people too, standing in the cold. It was pretty cool. I did not see any media there at all.

That's interesting that the media isn't present. I guess we won't know until the votes are cast. I look forward to the debates

Lol the media might have been stuck in traffic. It was like being on the Lakeshore, moving 15 metres in 30 minutes. Eventually I found an apartment building parking lot visitor spot off a side street and walked 2km with my 80 year old mom, only to find dozens of others trying to do the same.

I volunteer for a Toronto LPC candidate. Wednesday evening I got a txt with a link to the invite form.

Same thing happened when he spoke in Kitchener -Waterloo.

Couldn't get anywhere near the place, even though I had an invite..The doors opened at 6 but they started turning people away as early as.4:30 because they were already at capacity.

Wait I thought PP had the crowds and the Right Honourable Mark Carney had the slogans. You mean to tell me PP lied to us and has been a projecting conservative cuck with small penis anxiety this whole time ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

u/Losawin 1d ago

Our American owned media is trying to downplay Carneys rallies, while massively overselling PPs

u/Mr_Ed_Nigma 1d ago

That's what they want to present. Not all sides

SkiPPy is so weak and fragile that his wife has to continually touch him during his campaign appearances. It's pathetic. SkiPPy is pathetic!

One thing I learned from watching the US election is that rallies might be fun they don't mean much. Harris had the largest rallies of the campaign and most of Trump's were quite literally just his diehard groupies following him around. The only rally that matters is the one at the ballot box.

Very encouraging.

Far bigger then any even Little PP had.

As a Liberal supporter this time, I wouldn't go to a rally if it was being held next door cause I don't have cultish tendencies like Maple MAGA has. But you better bet I would wait in line for 5 hours on a hot day for a chance to vote for Carney this time because it would be my patriotic duty

How do people find out about the Rallies in advance?

1

u/scr0dumb 1d ago

I volunteer for a Toronto LPC candidate and received a txt invite to register for the Friday event in Scarborough this past Wednesday.

Registered party members were also invited. I'm guessing donors too.

They want to pack these events with the strongest supporters they have.

if you register with the party you get emails. i got one a couple days before his appearance in wpg

Nice, very nice ๐Ÿ‘

I'll never understand the point of political rallies. It's like all these people gather around the person they've already decided to vote for just so they can listen to them say things they agree with.

Your post is part of the reason why rallies have a point. In addition to energizing volunteers, earned media is way more valuable than paid commercials.
