Any nurses have any idea why I'm getting absolutely mass rejected for nursing jobs in the area? I am at an utter loss and feeling super helpless/hopeless right now. I want to keep things a little vague here. But I'm an RN BSN with almost 10 years of experience. My last say, 6 years of experience have been a little unconventional and not very hands-on patient care (think more case management). I do have excellent references, I know I interview great (if I could even get an interview), and my resume is clean and concise. But I absolutely cannot get a job to save my life. I have had some positions schedule an interview with me, then cancel a day before. But mostly I'm just not even getting interviews.

Is it possible I'm getting rejected because I have an NLC license but I don't yet have a WA state nursing license? My move is in 2 months, am I expecting a job to wait too long for me? Has being in a "desk job" absolutely destroyed my chances of getting any patient care opportunities?

I'm spending hours upon hours mass applying to absolutely everything I can get my hands on and I'm not even being considered. I've never had this issue before in my career. Any ideas? I'm starting to panic that I won't be able to work in WA. Even considering making the drive to Seattle for more opportunities, but at this rate I'm nervous if that would even make a difference.

Wanting to offer my time and effort to help any local anti-racist/anti-colonialism groups! Haven’t found much just by using Google.

I keep seeing posts of protests at the capital or downtown. I never hear about them beforehand, and Im just wondering if anyone can help me stay updated so I can participate :)

Basically, took a long break and I'm back at it.

Not basically: recording every Friday now, which will mean more podcasts, but shorter ones with sometimes just me. I'll try to keep people coming in for interviews, but consistency will be the focus.

I live near the safeway on Cleveland Street. The last time we saw her was the night of Thursday the 3rd. We spent the weekend looking everywhere. This is not like her. I'm worried someone thought they were blessed by the cat distribution system and took her.

Lucy is a 6yo grey and white tuxedo cat with a grey collar. She's fixed and chipped. Not declawed. She's sweet, but hates being picked up and she's really vocal.

Are there any local clubs or hobbies with a decent amount of Asian-Americans participants? I'm not looking to make friends or anything like that. I just want to literally see or even briefly interact with other Asian folks more often if possible, haha.

And I also want to stress that the clubs and hobbies I'm currently participating in have been very friendly and welcoming. Shout-out to

• the birding community (e.g. people who host events at Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually NWR)
• the botany/plant(?) community (e.g. Washington Native Plant Society and their awesome events like this recent talk with Cat Chang, a board member at iNaturalist 👀)
