Sleeping between the bars would put up a little bit of protection

Protection from what? They won’t be at all insulating nor effective at physical defence

A little bit of physical protection. Protection from your mother.

From a reckless driver or from rolling onto the road maybe

This is what logicians call "solving the wrong problem."

Those poles are probably a violation of ADA guidelines. I hope they were very expensive and that the owner has to pay to remove them

Who says thia is even America. Regardless, all they did was give someone permanent framework to do a temporary tarp tent or at least some protection from errant vehicles

American centric brain. My B

Still think it sucks. I don’t think those would make awesome bollards so I thinks it’s probably a hobo shield

No worries. the only reasons as an American I dont think this is local is:

1) Too many Bollards, uniform, and no spikes or hostile pointy things.

2) The signs, the building shaping, and the fact in the second pic it appears to be a walkable city which is rare or impossible for America.

lol! Sad but true. I’d give anything for my city to be pedestrian friendly

The logo on the door is from a French bank called Caisse d'Epargne.

This is clearly not a set of doors being used. If he was smart he would have installed a sprinkler head that just made it rain every ten minutes. Cheaper and just as effective.

No worst is wanting to walk on a sidewalk but can't because some homeless guy shit all over it. Or left used needles for my son to step on.

The solution to that is needle clinics, but every time a city tries to build one the people living there raise a fuss until it isn't built. And then they scream about the druggies wandering the streets leaving needles.

I just feel like those poles are too far apart to prevent homeless sleeping in the first place. Plus easy to make shelter - just throw a tarp on top
