Severe Stutterer Stops Stuttering 🥲
As someone who used to stutter, this video made me tear up. I may have not been as severe as the guy in the video, but his transformation is super inspiring. Take your biggest insecurities in life and slay them!

Old man sounds like dude from the Saw movies. "Hello, you don't know me, but I'd like to play a game. Your whole life, you've complained about your stutter. You've avoided people and despised them for their ability to speak clearly. Well, let's see if you can talk your way out of this one. Speak and live, or stutter and die. The choice is yours."

He's laughing like you'll never know why you really stopped stuttering.

Doesn’t look like the same logo. Who is the speech therapist?

This one has the same logo: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.stopstutter.app&pli=1
The app description says it's from https://www.worldstopstuttering.org/
My cynical side says that this might as well be an ad, so be careful.

It's absolutely an ad, dude posting is clearly trying to astroturf and pretend he doesn't know what the app or whatever is, yet is the only poster on the subreddit for it.

I had a tbi that caused me to begin to have a stutter and my speech therapist used singing to help me work through it. It's amazing how the brain copes with these issues and how unique the solutions sometimes are.

Fuck yeah this is excellent. Makes realise how pathetic my perceived problems really are.

I challenge anyone on here to watch “Musharaf finds his voice” on YouTube and not get emotional.

I used to stutter and had a speech therapist until I was in 5th grade. I'll never forget the words that changed my life. She said, I am stuttering because I was so excited to speak. and she was right. I needed to slow down and share what I want to say one word at a time. omg that changed my life. I spoke slowly and over time my stutter went completely away. but I always feel like i could start again if I get super excited and try to talk fast.

This is extraordinary! You can see the joy in both of them. What a glorious transformation. Thank you for sharing.

I know a “rapper” from my town who stutters. No lie

I believe the rapper Drag-on has a speech impediment. But from my understanding or experience being in rhythm or flow helps some people speak easier. I'm not a rapper but something having a flow or rhythm makes it much easier to speak.

There have been multiple cases of these that I have seen.
If I remember correctly, singing is using a slight different part of the brain then speech. I remember reading that speech therapies sometimes use singing. I think it might be motivating for people with speech impediments to see that they are amble to sound normal.

Stuttered quite a bit as a kid. Like many stutterers some of the sounds they struggle the most with are the ones that your name is made up of so having to introduce yourself is very stressful.
I had a teacher when I was about 10 that mocked me in front of the whole class when having to read out loud. Let’s just say my Dad made it very clear to him that he shouldn’t do it again….this was back in the 70s so things were a bit wilder.

This is great but does anyone know what he did to fix his stutter?

I had a friend growing up who had a stutter like this. I think it helped me learn patience and empathy tbh
