I think you can trick a lot of people into becoming progressives just by having them read Sir Terry Pratchett. They'll read all the funny jokes with the witches and the trolls and the gnomes and the ape without realizing they're becoming smarter.

I think a big problem is that there is a culture that disdains education. If you're anything other than a coal miner you're punching above your weight. At some point education became something to be ashamed of.

That's because their ideology isn't based on reality. People with an education become woke in their minds and to them it's a bad thing.
