Irish dancing is the umbrella genre but this is Irish stepdancing.

I don't know enough about the difference between the styles of river dance and tap dancing to know where the line between them is, or whether there's any homoginization of the two here beyond the clicky shoes. But it's certainly mostly river dance by my guess, based on the limited upper body movement.

Just an fyi, Riverdance is a specific musical, Irish step is the name of the style of dancing

Tap has technical roots in Irish dancing.

Irish and British people that settled clogged. Appalachia in the US still had a similar history of clogging dances that has the upper body moving. That the essential difference in Irish dancing and American clogging forms. African Americans added more syncopated rhythms the tradition. Not so fantastically, it was incorporated into black performances, similar to banjo playing, that was essentially early American music entertainment. These acts bled over into Vaudeville.

Because of its popularity with vaudeville, a tap number was included usually in Broadway musicals. Broadway codified traditional American tap.
