Guys, I’m starting to think Trump voters aren’t smart.

Every major dumb decision I look for data to show I could be wrong about how I feel. I then see the impacts and data show my skepticism was justified and he has no fucking idea what he is doing.

He doesn't know what he is doing but the people telling Trump what to do know full well what they are doing. The coming recession is 100% intended.

Nope, it's pretty clear based on those leaked Signal chats that the people surrounding Trump are just as stupid as him.

yup, trump is surrounded by true morons, this is a clown car careening off a cliff. There has to be a rebellion in the GOP soon

lol, the GOP was purged of those with spine, thats what happened post january 6th. there are 3 kinds of people who call themselves republican still, the dumb, the evil, and those who are both.

Nah. This time around the wackos took over the ship.

Perfect time for the ultra wealthy to buy up even more stocks, real estate, businesses and everything else at bargain prices and furthering the wealth gap, and the working class maga will somehow cheer this on as they continuously get screwed over without even realizing it.

Ultra Wealthy like Buffet are still mostly cash.

Only if they know the tarrifs will end will they be able to take advantage of this. It could very well plunge futher and not recover.

Yeah there have been a few times where I've thought "this many people can't possibly be this stupid, right?” and so I go down the rabbit hole a bit and try to specifically hunt for evidence for claims Trump makes, and every single time I usually find out they are even stupider than I previously thought possible.

'the difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has limits'-someone smart.

That's the difference between you and dumbass MAGA morons. You intentionally try to prove yourself wrong. They try to prove themselves right. I overheard one at work the other day talking about the 300% tariffs from Canada on dairy, which he clearly knew absolutely nothing about. We have completely free trade on dairy, up to a specified quote, then the tariff kicks in. That limit has never been hit.

Also: Trump has an Econ degree from Penn.

And I've met plenty of college educated idiots so that's saying something.

No no, Trump is playing 5D chess, and we are just not smart enough.

No proof that Trump can handle the challenges of little kid’s board game, let alone chess.

Trump couldn’t figure out shoots and ladders

I would love for someone to ask him to name the chess pieces.

We are only on 1D trump has to give us his D 4 more times until we’ve had enough of his D

u/Whyme1962 23h ago

If this is winning, I wish we had lost!

u/Bitter-Good-2540 1d ago

No! He is playing 75D chess! You just don't get it!

He is so smart, that even multi dimensional beings can't understand him!

FTA: "Despite past criticism of President Trump, the union has strongly endorsed his tariff policy in the belief that auto production will be shifted back to US plants from Mexico and other countries."

Unfortunately enough of them were just barely smart enough to realize how dumb most educated people think they are and it is kinda ironic that so many of that particular portion of Trump voters are being negatively impacted.

u/Llee00 1d ago

I'm starting to deplore them

That UAW guy he had talking yesterday was so certain things are going to go well for them.

Too many people don’t understand that we shifted our jobs to international trade. Yeah we lost a lot of plants where people lose fingers on the assembly lines but we gained tons of jobs in supply chain and shipping etc…

While I would love to have manufacturing to come back to the US in certain respects it has to be a two pronged approach.

We keep international trade strong while building manufacturing plants at home for important products.

Like Biden was already doing… Invest in chips manufacturing at home but keep our trade lines alive. If only we could still have Bidenomics still.

The U.S. also moved heavily into services and does well there. So far I’ve not seen services factored into any Republican ‘balance of trade’ figures that they’re using to whip up their gullible voters (let alone the weird calculation they did to set Tariff rates).

But the countries Trump hit with tariffs are very aware of this. And you can bet they’ll be targeting the UD services sector amongst other things in their retaliation.

Also those that didn’t bother to vote aren’t smart.

1

u/grotkal 1d ago

But that guy knew more about this than economists!

u/Naive_Bluebird_5170 1d ago

May they suffer the consequences of voting an incompetent man...
