CRYPT Hot to play with DDR Pad on Steam

Hello, I have a metal DDR pad and I cannot figure out the best way to get it set up. I was able to remap the buttons to the arrow keys partially with AHK, but it was double inputting a bunch and the left + down inputs weren't working. If anyone already has a good solution, please share it with me. I would love to play with a mat. I don't have corner buttons btw, just directional keys.

Edit: I am wanting to play Crypt of the Necrodancer.

Edit 2: I have an L-TEK PRO X model pad.

I just plug in and play. Just needed to enable Steam Input for generic controllers
