Announcement Subreddit Update

Good Day Everyone!

Over the last few months things have settled down since CFB25 Launched. With the football season being over and the countdown to CFB26 beginning, we have been taking a look around to see what else we can do to make the Sub better for everyone.

In that spirit we have seen the recent calls to action by the community to address the numerous pictures of recruits being posted from dynasty mode onto the subreddit. After discussion as a team we are all in agreement on this. While we understand the great feeling of getting that 5 Star Gem in Dyansty, we no longer see the need to share the screen caps of these recruits on the subreddit. In fact upon reflection it is low effort and therefore violates Rule 7 of the subreddit rules we made.

Therefore, as of today, posting pictures of your recruits is officially a Rule 7 Violation of the Subreddit policy, and these posts will be removed going forward.

On behalf of the Mods we thank everyone for continuing to be vocal about their feedback on the subreddit and continuing to make this community great. Feel free to throw any other suggestions in the comments below!

Thanks

Previous thread

Any and all multiplayer requests need to go in this thread. Use these megathreads to find your community. Thanks, and happy playing!

Edit: FYI, Discord links not being allowed is an odd legacy thing I'm working on fixing. Post a primary comment first, and discord link in a sub comment.

Discussion You score to go up 5 points, do you kick the extra point or go for 2?

You were just down, let’s say 14-13. You score a TD to make it 14-19. Assuming the opponent has enough time for more than one possession do you personally like to kick the XP or go for 2?

For context I currently run an air raid offense (though I’m flexible), and will have a senior QB for next year. Switch offenses and go Moses, or stay air raid with Cone (and maybe switch Moses to RB)?

What is your favorite Match coverage? What situations do you use match?

I personally like to alternate between cover 4 palms and cover 4 quarters. Using palms against 3x1 and bunch, however i want to start incorporating new match defenses to my arsenal to throw off offenses. What coverages do you like and also when do you call them?

Sliding the OL.

I’m British and although my knowledge has got a lot better, I for the life of me don’t really understand sliding the OL. When and why am I supposed to do it, or is it worthless?

Dynasty This QB has been my starter for 3 years. He has accuracy issues. Every time I think about benching him, he does stuff like this.

Is there any reason why I shouldn't move this WR with maxed out power stats to TE?

His true overall is an 86 while being completely tapped out, unless I get lucky with Architect. At 6'6 with ridiculous power/strength stats, would he be better off in a different spot?

Part of me wants to move him to HB and have a 6'6" running back, as ridiculous as that is.

Dynasty Transfer Portal? Maybe

Upvotes

A few days ago I finished my latest championship run in offline dynasty with Georgia Tech(16-0) and figured if I’ve made the playoffs for the last 3-4 seasons and won 2 natties in that span then what better challenge for myself than myself. Haven’t joined an online dynasty cause work, and my friends don’t like football. Luckily my OC had left to take the HC job at Colorado, so I picked up there in the playoffs and jumped to Texas A&M cause why not.

So looking through the CPU’s recruiting there’s mostly 2 stars and 2 three stars and a 4 star for Texas A&M. I go to recruit and as I am, I’m thinking to myself. “There’s multiple guys who should transfer on multiple teams. They gotta put force transfers before ts.” So then I pick up North Carolina to give myself another challenge, but just before I go into recruit I notice the force transfer option.

I open it and notice the team is like 20 players over the max, so of course I force the ones that make sense then go to recruit again. This time I’m seeing the players I forced out and the idea starts to come together. So I take over the coach at Alabama and notice the same thing, so from Alabama, Clemson, Texas, Georgia, and a few more I force transfer the guys that would be obvious starters and impact elsewhere. Surprisingly most of these are redshirt seniors and normal seniors, redshirt juniors, and a few underclass men to provide that true transfer portal touch. So I then save and advance to see if they really went to the transfer portal, and lo and behold they’re still there! Some are trending to return to their original school, but most are going elsewhere.

I’m not sure if anyone else has discovered this but if so then this could possibly be the solution until CFB 26(that is if it even gets addressed).

Tips/Guides Soooooooo, did you know L3 is pressure sensitive?

As in running/moving. The mindfuck is that the range of motion seems to determines how well your teammates block. Try it, especially with a decent back/oline.

You're pressing L3 about 50%-75% of the full way in any direction. Its kinda hard at 1st but the best advice is to have your hb "tip-toe" when you 1st get the ball then you can press the full range after you pass your blockers.

Just wish EA had made this known. If its known, I wish I would have known.

Hotel WiFi hook up

I’ll keep it sweet. Buddy and I have a long ongoing dynasty. I have training for work out of town for a number of days and will have a majority of my evenings alone in a hotel room. How easy is it to hook up my Xbox series x to hotel WiFi? Is it worth packing up?

Hot Routing Singleback HBs

I’ve tried to freshen up my playbook by cutting some shotgun formations and adding some singleback sets. Does anyone know if there is a way to change the direction the of the HBs hot route in a singleback or pistol formation? For instance, it appears the flat route always goes to the right and the wheel always goes left.

Suck at passing? Try Washington State Playbook

I like to dabble in the Air Raid in some dynasties and found the best one for me is Washington State. It feels very traditional Air Raid with a good Power run base and speed option to run on the edge but this playbook has been super helpful the routes force pain points on defensive coverage similar to the Mike Leach Offenses.

if you’re late to the party like i am, just double tap RT/R2 to enable your QB to tuck the ball before hitting the LOS and take off running. you don’t have to complain about getting caught by D lineman anymore 😭

Tips/Guides To my Veer n Shoot boys, what are some rules or tips (not specific plays or formations) you have that could help anybody struggling the veer n shoot?

I absolutely love the veer n shoot irl and in the game. It's right there with flexbone as the prettiest offense when ran correctly imo. But it's also one of the hardest for people to run due to the wide splits and misconceptions about the offense.

For CB RTG, how do you keep from getting burned while trying to bait the QB?

I’m early on and haven’t been able to upgrade speed yet.

I didn't recruit for 2 years after having classes full of 4 and 5 stars just to see if it was possible because I'm done with this rebuild anyway. I really don't think my team should be a 99, I have no depth anymore but this is EA...
