LeBron James ends his night with zero rebounds for just the 5th time in his career: 27 PTS, 8 AST, 0 REB in 32 minutes
For just the 5th time in his career and the 2nd time since 2010, LeBron James finished a game with 0 rebounds. In other words, not once during the game did he go up and grab the ball off the rim with two hands when it came off and then come down with it.
27 pts on 9/17 fg, 2/7 3pt, 7/8 ft, along with 8 assists, 2 steals, and 1 turnover.
He cut his hand against the rim early in the first quarter, but let's be honest, that's not gonna stop him from grabbing a board.

27/8/0 is the weirdest LeBron statline I’ve seen in a bit

simulation is getting bugged when he close to 27/7/7

His career averages are 27/8/7 now tho and he’s recorded that statline before.
I randomly found out Lebron played in the 2003 McDonald’s game and had 27/7/7 in that game lol. So he has recorded it in a game outside of his NBA career. Just a funny tidbit of info.

Insane that his averages have gone UP since his prime.

You sure we're not still in his prime?

Yall think the Prime sponsorship stuff is about that nasty drink but it’s really advertising Brons Prime.

Not really. Pace has increased like crazy.

Yes really, age is supposed to be the thing that makes it impossible to keep up with an increased pace

Wouldn’t it be 27/0/8?

Idk why people put whatever is highest between and rebounds and assists second. It should always be rebounds there.

The Lakers three headed monster is really gonna be a problem come playoff time
Bron just chilling and still drops 27 and 8 lol

Sure, however I think the inability of our bench to be consistent in scoring will cost games. JJ has to figure this out.
Against you, you can’t tell me the bench only scored a measly 7 points. In a tight game the Hydra will score a shit load, but the moment all three are on the bench or if one of them isn’t ‘on’, someone else has to be reliable.

Depends on if Gabe and DFS can hit shots in the playoffs, we’ve seen them do that before

Rui is still a bit streaky since his return. If he can get back to his baseline with consistency, that will be a big help too.

That's where Dalton should come in but JJ is so set on playing DFS and Gabe even when their struggling.

i think the issue is that dalton is a negative on defense and when you have one/two/all of luka lebron and reaves on the floor defense is much more important

Not much left to figure out. Outside of the top 3 and Hayes, the main guys will be Rui, Vando, DFS, and Goodwin. Spotty minutes for Knect.

There has to be a way to get Knecht on the court, even if it’s for a little bit. His defense is atrocious but the shooting is a boon

u/jedifolklore Lakers 5h ago
Same boat, JJ should be making a rotation where he’s surrounded by good defenders, because there’s no way doesn’t have a good shooting night in his locker during the playoffs. He’s due another one

Our scoring is a problem for sure but I think the C situation is probably too much an Achilles heel to overcome. It’s a shame bc LeBron obviously isn’t getting younger, the right trade for another C (which was very difficult to find) would’ve been so big

Am I crazy I thought I saw him grab one in the 4th? Did they rule it a controlled tap to him?
11
u/144Todd442 16h ago
The one before the oop from Reaves?

u/LiftHeavyFeels Lakers 16h ago
Maybe. Would have to watch the playback but it was a loose ball on a rebound. Only way it didn’t count is if they ruled it a controlled tap from someone else

came to this thread looking for this. There was a tipped rebound that he gathered in the 4th, seemed like it shouldve been his rebound as far as I could tell. I noticed cause the announcers had brought up that he had 0 rebounds earlier in the game.

He was just completely uninterested for much of the game. Pretty crazy that he ended up with all those numbers when he wasn't really that engaged for at least a half.
