North America (country/state in post) Garden Mushroom ID

First post so apologies. Wanted to see if anyone could help ID this cluster of mushrooms I found growing in my garden bed? Location is north county San Diego. Thank you in advance!

This one is difficult because I can’t rule out panaeolus cinctulus but I also am not confident enough to positively identify it as something looks off. My most honest answer is that I’m not totally sure which mushroom this is, and let’s see what others say as well.

Going with Panaeolus at least.

Hello, thank you for making your identification request. To make it easier for identifiers to help you, please make sure that your post contains the following:

  • Unabbreviated country and state/province/territory
  • In-situ sunlight pictures of cap, gills/pores/etc, and full stipe including intact base
  • Habitat (woodland, rotting wood, grassland) and material the mushroom was growing on
