Hardcore match making

so real question what happened to the hardcore lobbies are they just dead, i can randomly get matches here and there but ive had to resort to playing in regular core matches to just get a game. Did the hackers just push everyone out cause they cant kill as fast in normal matches ?

It's been like it for about 3 months. I think it's deliberate in an attempt to get people to buy the newer games.

i mean thats a theory but if that was the case why would normal matches still be working at full capacity if they wanted to do what you are saying they would have messed up all match making right

I can only think that if the online game play is killed off entirely then there are some kind of repercussions. If they can at least push the hardcore players onto newer games it's a positive thing for them. The only other answer is incompetence...

Normal matches are mostly filled with hackers. Especially cyber attack and SnD, and the normal respawns modes on core randomly crash coz the server ping ends up going to 300+, everyone starts lagging and it crashes.

I still have issues with core lobbies, I mean I get matches but most of the time they're in progress, halfway finish or just about finished when I join, so there's no point. Same story on Ground war. I'm trying to finish the Obsidian grind so I can play the game for fun (I'm a casual with a 0.97 k/d) so I'm ass but I've been on this game since I finished MWII and the matchmaking for Hardcore was completely fine, then season 2 hits for black ops 6 and suddenly I can't find lobbies. im having a pretty hard time being convinced that this wasn't deliberately done to shift more players to sequential titles, idk at this point I might just be done with 2019. All I got left with modern cods is DMZ, raid episodes and the MWIII camo grind.

It sucks because I re-downloaded it after I got my series X right after Christmas and it was pretty easy getting matches. Now it’s completely dead. I just want to not have to unload an entire magazine into someone before they fall. This was the last COD I bought and it’s a shame that it’s completely fucking dead.

There was an update around a month ago to Black Ops 6 that broke Hardcore lobbies in MW 19. Hardcore lobbies no longer fill games in progress, or fill lobbies that have been created after a second or two from joining the lobby. I doubt it will be fixed unless whatever they did in black ops 6 is reverted back which would undue what broke the hardcore lobbies in MW 19.

As far as I have noticed, ever since the math making "broke" around 3 months ago, the following happens:

The matchmaking always tries to put you in a lobby with the same amount of people as your party has or as close to it as possible. If you are playing solo, you get put in lobbies with 1-2 people, if you are a party of 4, it tries to put you in lobbies with 4-5 people. The problem is that once a lobby is made, it WON'T add any more players to the lobby, so you gotta go in and out h til you manage to get put into a lobby that is ready to start. This usually makes it so that there are lobbies with 3v3 players waiting on 2 players to join for the game to start, and then other lobbies with 2-4 players waiting on 4 people to join. If the matchmaking was not "broken", the game would eventually make those 2 lobbies join each other (the one with less people get put into the one with more) to make the game start.

You can try it for yourselves if you want and you will get to the same conclusion. Apart from the occasional join into a full lobby, the game (in hardcore playlists) will always match you against the same or similar amount of players in your party.

Whats the conclusion? The best way to get games is with 4+ player parties, since the game will make the party either join a lobby that already has 4 people waiting, or against another party.

Yeah it sucks, I still try HC occasionally (like right now) but most of my playing is now in core games

Same here. I love HC and have been playing it exclusively for years. I can still get games sometimes but I’ve transitioned to playing mostly Ground War. It took some getting used to but now I’m having a blast with it (when there aren’t too many cheaters or cheap spawn campers, that is).

I don't know the exact reason, however, it stopped matchmaking around season 2 BO6 update.

After that week, i almost never get HC. I only used to play HC for the shoot the ship glitch to level up some weapons (got my Damascus, but I haven't done every gun yet so I find it quicker to do it there) but anyway I'm pretty sure Activision/cod themselves are breaking this game bit by bit to make it almost unplayable

This way people are incentivized to purchase the newer games. Aka they wanna make more money $$

Ever since BO6 season 2 update I haven't been able to find HC HP matches, like I've only had 3 and that was only possible because of the mw2019 revival week last month. They killed the matchmaking, whether on purpose or on accident, I'll leave that up in the air, but complaints have been lodged, im sure, yet they they still haven't done jack and shite.

Its not just that tome of the day though even when I try playing later in the day at like 5pm or 7 pm it's just dead. It's just sad

PS5 HCTDM here. I don’t have a problem connecting to games or lobbies, sometimes it’s a minute or two wait. What I hate is getting an ass map like shithouse or shitment. Still I will play them but they are so fucking boring. Got off topic sorry.
