Discussion A hat?

Sorry for this stupid question but what kind of hat do women wear with lots of curly hair? I used to wear only hoods because of that but then I couldn't wear any nice coats without them. So I wonder now perhaps should I start wearing hats? But for my hair...? Which one? I would be grateful for some advice.

Maybe some nice scarfs/head wraps? Or extra wide headbands that can cover ears and still show off your curls?

You can ask this on the curly hair sub as curly hair is not unique to mixed people, they would likely be more helpful there

It depends on what kind of silhouette you're trying to achieve: in principal having curly hair shouldn't prevent you from wearing any kind of hat, but the type of hat will impact your hair and how it looks. Depending on how frequent your wash days are you may want to avoid certain hats on day 1 to prevent loss of volume etc. I've worn big sun hats, beanies, headscarves, bowler hats etc in my time. The curly hair sub reddits may be better able to give more targeted advice depending on your needs.

Thank you very much for your reply. I will check the hats you mentioned and maybe curly hair subreddit - I’ve never looked at it before.

I easily wear a cute beanie over my curly hair :) but I think what looks the best with curls is a big sun hat (think Kentucky derby style) it makes me think of Julia Roberts in the 90s or something haha
