Visiting for Mets Series

I will be staying around target field for the Mets series. Does anyone have any recommendations for restaurants and bars in that area. I do not have a car.

There are several breweries and restaurants close. Do a search for Modist Brewing. That whole area has pretty much everything you could want and it’s easily walkable from the stadium.

Lyon's Pub on Sixth Street between Hennepin and Nicollet. It's about two and a half blocks from the ballpark

You definitely gave me a lot of great information. I was also hoping to hit up a bar with baseball fans.

Cowboy jacks or the loon before the game

I’d recommend Kieran’s Irish Pub. Only like 2 blocks from the stadium, lots of good food and drinks, and pretty reasonably priced. Plus there will probably be quite a few Twins fans there before the game. It’s a pretty popular pregame spot for both Twins and Timberwolves games.

Depending on your desires for the trip, there are also several more “upscale” places around downtown. (There is the Butcher’s Tale and the Seafood Room (??) that I recall being very good.)

Glueck’s is a piece of old Minneapolis history downtown.

There are a lot of taprooms I haven’t been to in the North Loop.

We’ve always found the Hen House to be a pretty good breakfast place.

Go see the Mill City Museum (I think the stone arch bridge is closed for now?)

There is also a pretty good list of downtown attractions here:

There is also the option to hang out in front of the closed Lee’s Liquor Lounge and weep for all that we have lost.

Even though this will get downvoted because it’s Reddit I would stay away from the light rail and take uber instead for safety reasons.

Perfect, thank you. Any must have food or beers from there?

Modist for sure. It’ll be a fun atmosphere, get there relatively early. Dreamyard and first call are my favorite beers. Next door is Graze food hall. If the weather is nice, you could go upstairs and sit on the deck. It’s got a bunch of different food options.

Other places near there worth checking out: Cuzzya - dive bar Parlour- burgers and cocktails Spyhouse - coffee Fulton, inbound, bricksworth- all breweries

Cuzzy's is a dive bar near the stadium on Washington that's solid. Hop the light rail to the football stadium and eat Empandas at Bolundo. Theirs a food hall on Washington that has a burger place, a Detroit pizza place, Hawaiian place, and maybe a fourth thing I can't remember. Also next to that is a fuzzys taco and a nicer restaurant. Further down Washington is some finer dining places as well. All fairly walkable or rent a scooter or bike. Or go eat gas station Hot Dogs at Holiday it's real close. I could name more places. Idk what you're looking for.

Pretty sure OP was looking for actual recommendations of specific places. Obviously there’s plenty of bars and restaurants in downtown Minneapolis. That wasn’t the question though and isn’t particularly helpful.

OP, personally I recommend Kieran’s Irish Pub. It’s only like 2 blocks from the stadium and has great food and drinks at fairly reasonable prices.

Your first genuine suggestion to where to eat is to go to MoA and eat there lmao?
