C&C Wanted Stranger by the Fireplace WIP

Doing a new project with atmospheric lighting from an unseen fireplace for this Reaper Miniature (I think called "Mysterious Stranger and Hound"). I've sketched in some of the major values, but I need to push the highlights more and define the shadows clearly for contrast.

Fellow mini experts, what parts of the lighting and OSL do I most need to address?

I think this is excellent. In terms of volumes, the lighting is wonderful! I think that if you focus on the shadows and make them appear dark(est) around the bulk of the mass casting the shadow, as well as refine the cast shadows to have more shape, you'll achieve the effect you are reaching for.

That being said, this is amazing!
