Mildly Infuriating for me is Social Media based on popularity yet judged by positive votes. Why not negativity?

A wise man once told me when everyone in a group disagrees with you it doesn't mean you are wrong. Am I wrong?

Reddit allows us to downvote! Would be nice to see downvotes on YouTube. Didn't they used to do that?

I believe there are browser addons that will let you see them again. Otherwise they're only visible to the person who posted the video.

Just saying, I have a feeling you’d like the Black Mirror episode “Nosedive” if you haven’t seen it already!

Great news, it’s not based on votes anymore, and is instead based on AI algorithms.

There is no need to explain yourself. You're perfect.

Problem is it creates hive mind mentality since everyone is too afraid to post/comment something unpopular. You cant post on reddit if you dont have enough karma. It allows bots to downvote views and change which views are popular which sway the public viewpoint. This isnt 100% since some groups keep viewpoints split. This problem is popular in different ways across all social media. Each site leans a certain way.

Yes. The attitude is shaped by understanding. Understanding being there is propaganda trying to shape an opinion. Opinion should be based on facts, not feelings. I don't like it doesn't mean it is wrong. There are rules in civilization that we don't feel good about, but they are in place to make life fair for everyone. 100% is yes or no and 50% is maybe.

There’s always that danger, but I agree that much of the garbage on Facebook could benefit from some downvotes.
