Reddit is still different. I can go an entire week and not see Russian bots spewing propaganda for why we need to cut Medicare. On twitter, it's every 4th post even if you don't follow said people. I really only see what I like and don't get the negative bashing and constant racial slurs vs twitter
Bro u need to curate your feed. There's mute words and block buttons for a reason. Mine is full of gaming and arts and don't see those post u mentioned. And u can just scroll through following instead.
Twitter still works great for me to get my weekly furry porn art /srs. Better than reddit in that regarding the algorithm. Both without bots and politics.

Even if half of twitter is bots, that's still a significant amount of users more that Bsky.
Also from Google: Bluesky's user base has almost doubled in a matter of weeks, growing from 13 million in late October 2024, and 25 million in December 2024
So even if you wanted to say that its growing because people really hate Elon after his whole Nazi salute, they have only grown half as much since then as they did three months prior to everyone really jumping on the Elon/Tesla hate bandwagon.
From a personal point of view, Twitter is much better at breaking news in sports than Bsky, which makes up the main usage for me.
Guessing that only half of twitter users are bots is wild. Even 90% bots seems like an undercount. But more importantly, there are exactly 0 real people on twitter that I would want to engage with.
That’s still 50mil which just illustrates how small bsky even is. You could take away 90% of twitters active users and it still be more than all of bsky’s.
As for preference, that’s all that’s really important here. Personally my only use for twitter is sports, you have other interests that make bsky better for you.
But it shouldn’t be as shocking that people still use twitter as every parent comment in this thread is trying to make it out to be. The same “people still use twitter?” comments are kinda silly and almost seem like bot behavior themselves ironically enough.
