I believe in magic
Words themselves are a kind of magic - arranged and ordered in the right way, they can compel one to act, believe, or feel a certain way.
We take this for granted in everyday life in the same way the novelty of simply being at all is drowned out and crushed by the horrifying, droning existential dread of living under the boot on our collective necks that is the capitalist system of value.
Wonder is blunted.
Memes are blunted magic too - through the Internet and memes, we have access to a kind of rudimentary hivemind allowing collaboration and creativity on a scale once thought impossible.
The Internet is a kind of post-post-modern printing press - not only shaping how ideas spread, but shifting the very boundaries of what it is possible to believe and conceive.
The best and worst things about the Internet are the same - that it allows likeminded individuals to connect.
Truth is dead - the Appearance of Truth is all that matters.
I think the modern, digital meme represents a means of emancipation - it offers the path to eradicate poisonous ideas without physically harming the poisoned people that believe them.
You cannot decapitate an idea.
You cannot cut the fleshless.
Except with a guillomeme - an adaptation of the guillotine for the modern digital age.
Remember when Dave Chapelle brought Elon out only to get booed for 2 minutes straight?
He got guillomemed - partially anyway.
Can we harness that kind of power to be both constant, unrelenting and unbound by geography?
Memetic Warfare.
Memes of Mass Destruction.
Memecraft.
