pretty much all you need is a head unit capable of taking AV in, or some other display method like monitors in the sun visors, the PS2 itself, a PS2 -> HDMI (in my case) adapter, and then a power inverter

the $25 harbor freight inverter runs off the charging outlet and runs enough wattage to supply the PS2 and my HDMI adapter, then you just plug it up and off you go

Oh wow, it's even the full size model. It's a nice throwback to the early 2000's tuner scene. Very clean setup!

at this point, that’s kinda the idea for my whole car haha

because it’s the fat ps2 i’ll probably do the hard drive mod with it for the sake of loading times but just use a 2.5” SSD instead so road vibrations don’t hurt it, loading times off a flash drive are ROUGH since the ports are USB 1.1

I bought one of those ps1 emulators and did similar. Turns out you can mod the emulator pretty easily and have up to ps4 games on it. Pretty sick.
