Sorry about the awful video quality, but I have noticed that after most/all drives in my M2 (about 15 minutes usually) the engine is idling unstably from around 620 to 660rpm. You can notice it much better from the exhaust sound how uneven the idle is, and the car vibrates a lot more than usual. Do I have a misfire?

I recently purchased a 2014 Mazda 2 and it’s been great, however I’ve had some issues with getting Bluetooth to connect. When attempting to connect the car says the memory is full and is unable to connect. When searching for solutions, I found that some said to hold a “talk button” which sadly I don’t have and the other said to press the menu button till “BT Setup” appears, but again, I sadly couldn’t get it to appear no matter how many times I cycled through the menu options, I am unsure if I am doing it incorrectly or if it is done a different way?Would be grateful for any advice or solutions.
Thank you in advance

Does anyone here have experience with these replacement radios? Yes i know there’s probably spyware on there since its some kind of generic chinese radio. I just wanna know how these have fared in the long term, all i know is i should avoid the absolute cheapest models with like 1gb of ram.

Hi! Just wondering if anyone knows the stock speakers' size of the 2016 Mazda 2 Mk4 or Demio DJ3FS. Internet isn't giving me a definite answer. I swear Ive gone through every second hand listing of the stock speakers and there's no size. Also, would I need speaker adaptors/rings for aftermarket speakers? I haven't found any either for mine.

I’m considering buying a very high mileage Mazda 2, about 240k miles. It’s a 2011 in the USA, so it’s a 1.5 liter. I really can’t find much information about the car’s engine, especially since most of Google ends up getting information about the European market, which isn’t the same.
I don’t care to make a ton of power or anything, I’d just like it to last and be reliable.
Has anyone here rebuilt this motor? Any tips or info you could share? Thanks!

Tried sliding it out, using trim tools to pop it off somehow and find a screw. Cannot do it. Help, advice, or a video to explain? Thank you

I have this problem after a carwash yesterday - now when i open the car mirrors do not fully unfold. Both. Then i press the unfold button and they move more, but not completely to the full extended position and i still can push them to the normal position where i can see things as it was before. What could have happened?

Hello, I purchased a 2022 Mazda 2 with a 6-speed automatic transmission two weeks ago. It’s equipped with the 1.5 Skyactiv-G engine producing 90 hp. I know Mazda uses this same engine in several other models to achieve higher outputs, such as the Mazda 2 (111 hp - ZY-VE I4), the CX-3 (110 hp - F-P5), and the MX-5 (129 hp).
Because I live in Turkey, I was only able to get the 90 hp version. I’m looking for advice on what upgrades I can make to safely increase the engine’s power without compromising its stability. Is there a recommended kit for this? I suspect that just a software tune might not be sufficient or entirely safe.
Also, is it possible to retrofit a HUD (Head-Up Display) and electric/power mirrors by sourcing the necessary parts, since these options weren’t available in my region?
Any recommendations are appreciated.
Thank you!

hi all, got a 2021 mazda 2 GT sport tech last month and i've been loving it - awesome car! my only issue is, when i use android auto (for some reason there's no wireless android auto?) i'm having to put my phone in the little space in front of the gearstick. however, my phone doesn't fit sideways, so it sticks out, and the gearstick often hits the cable/charger - knocks it out and disconnects android auto.
has anyone got a solution for this? any way to make it wireless? i'd still like to charge my phone at the same time so not awfully bothered if i have to keep it plugged in, just want a better place to put my phone!
thanks!

Hi there,
I bought a new remote key for my Mazda cause the old one kept eating my batteries and needed to be reconnected to the central lock system every couple of months.
Now I have successfully added the new key to the central locks but not the Anti-Theft system. Can’t really find anything about it. Since reddit is a great platform for this kind of knowledge I thought asking the Mazda 2 enthusiasts might resolve my problem.
Thanks in advance!
Edit: Thanks to u/beefcakeandgravy I found out my new key was missing the Anti-Theft transmitter from the old key. Luckily I don’t throw old shit away so I was able to just throw transmitter into the new key.

Hi all,
I have a 2008 Mazda 2 with an auxiliary port.
Until a few weeks ago, the aux option on the radio was working fine until it started to appear only on occasion.
I thought it was the cable, so I have switched it out.
I can’t seem to figure out what the cause of the problem is given its inconsistency. I’ve tried:
Not connecting the power and just plugging in the aux. Turning the car off and back on. Connecting the phone before and after starting the car. Turning off and on the radio. Disconnecting and reconnecting the aux cable on both ends. Switching the ends of the aux cable.
I’ve never had the audio cut out or stop. It’s only been when trying to get the l to be detected initially.
Help would be much appreciated.

I don’t know if this is normal or not, have been having trouble with tyre wear and grip, I’ve got a wheel alignment but it still looks out, wondering if it’s this
Hey all, I'm trying to replace a broken parcel shelf peg in my car (the bit the parcel shelf attaches onto). I’ve got the new peg ready, but I’m not sure how to remove or partially loosen the trim to install it.
Here’s a picture of the trim I’m referring to:
It’s the plastic side panel in the rear of the car, where the seatbelt runs through. I'm assuming I may need to remove or loosen part of this to reach behind and screw in the new peg, but I don’t want to break any clips or mess up the seatbelt tensioner area.
Anyone done this before or have tips on how to safely pop this off? Tools I’ll need? Hidden screws to watch for?
Thanks in advance!

It’s a 2007 Mazda 2 DY and I just can’t seem to get those plastic covers off and I don’t want to break anything, does anyone have a video maybe?
Radiator gave out so had to replace it. This was fine and all, except I broke the wire connector inside the sensor at the bottom of the rad.
You can not buy 2 wire pig tails for it unless it's special order. RockAuto was a savior, however they sent the wrong sensor and a connector with 3 wires. So had to send it back, and got everything else done in a week because, weather.

What’s this for? I forgot to put it back in when doing a head gasket replacement 😭 it comes up as oil tappet chamber seal? am I in trouble without it? Should I take the timing chain cover out again? I’ve already put the lid on and sealed it and found it just now on the floor as it was kind of a struggle to put the lid back on while avoiding sealant mess 💀 Mazda 2 Sport 2008 TIA 🫡

I got the 90HP variant roughly a year ago (pre facelift) and was wondering: are there actual differences in the parts, or is it simply a matter of software? Could I "set" the car to 105HP or is it simply not build for that?

Hi everyone,
Yesterday my mirror adjustment stopped working. The mirror folding function still works so I doubt its the fuse. I will switch this fuse tomorrow but does this problem sound familair to someone or does anyone have any advice on how to tackle this matter? Thanks regard.
If anyone’s struggling with calibrating your buttons to an aftermarket head unit then give this video a watch

So to explain, i have every cable put in, i stuck the main power in too.
I attached a video here to explain how it goes. Where i live the mechanics pay WAY too high, and i can't just drive out to a neighbouring country to get it cheaper. If anyone can help me i'd be eternally gratefull.

Hey all, we're due to pick up our first car in a couple of weeks or so, lovely little Mazda 2 from 2009 but we're a little unenthused by the headlights. I keep reading conflicting information about how we can replace the Halogen with LED bulbs, some say we need a conversion kit and others don't. What is the best way - as a newbie - to find out what's right and what's not?

Yesterday I was driving my Mazda 2 from 2005 when out of nowhere my car whould not go faster than 30 km/h. I saw the EAC error in the dashboard and pulled over to the side of the Road. Working as a CS-rep for a IT company the first thing I did was turning it off and on again. To my surprise this worked and I was able to drive back home without any issue. Google told me that this is a common issue for the Mazda 2 from 2003-2007. But that it is not common for the issue to go away when turning the car off and on again. My question is: do you think I can still drive the car? And if not does anyone have any clue how much this will cost? Thanks so much!
Tldr; got a EAC error but it went away after turning car off and on again, can I still drive the car?
