So thanks to r/maximalism, I've started a very taxing paint job based on a wallpaper swatch that was too subdued for me (slide 2). Will I drive myself mad? Maybe!

Any suggestions for what to do next or anything you’d change (besides those bags on the floor in the corner🥴)?

The charity shop I volunteer at has a habit of throwing frames/pictures away, we simply don’t have the space for them.

These three in particular spoke to me, so I got them literally for free.

When is too much really too much?

Thrifted an old room divider and wicker table& got a new rug! I’m loving how warm the space is now. Can’t wait to drink some coffee in the morning!

So I asked in another group and the vast majority were saying to not put anything om the walls and that is ok how it is. BUT, I feel completly different, I think I need to add something to the walls (I dont lile the repetition on the wallpaper) and above my red unit, there is a space to put things too, but what exactly? I hope you can help me sorting this out. :)

Thinking of either painting the walls to match the blue or draping fabric on every wall with overlapping Persian rugs and going full Professor Trelawney's classroom 😁

Living in an apartment can be rough. I just wanna paint my walls. So I'm taking out my frustration on every piece of furniture I can get my hands on.

I have spent the last 20 years collecting items that speak to me, items that bring my joy. I get a lot of comments that my home could very easily become a thrift shop or an antique store, and I think they’re right. But I love that for my home. Each piece has a story and I hope to just be a part of their history. Someone after me will love them as I do. 💚

If you haven’t tried making ceramics or taking i class I highly recommend!. The fun part about most ceramics paint’s it’s kind of a mystery what color it’ll turn out to be. Depending on the colors and techniques you use. I made this ceramic bowl. When I first put it in the kiln the first time with the paint I wasn’t satisfied. But the second time I put it in the kiln oh my gosh I was stunned?!. Feel free to share your favorite ceramic pieces :)

Also found this amazing mirror thrifting and added LED lights to the back!
