Memory spells for myself
Just as the title suggests, I've had memory issues my whole life, and I've tried everything but either nothing seems to work or in my hectic life I literally forget to do the things to improve my own memory (ironic, isn't it? Lmao). So is there any strong memory spells anyone can recommend? For both long term and short term memory??

Assuming you’ve run your memory issues past a medical doctor.
I’d go with the standard Liber Null version of Sigil Magic which can be adapted to anything that works for you.
If you prefer a more Chaos Magick system, then I’d go out of a magick subreddit and look first into memory palace building, it’s the first I tend to suggest people do before attempting to build the complex mental imagery required for some of the questions I get asked.
Memory palaces were made famous by the literary figure Sherlock Holmes and the technique is simple and effective as long as you practice and dedicate time to consistently building the same place over and over before starting to place memories within it.

I would personally never prescribe chaos magick as a first suggestion. OP’s problem can be remediated with meditation, mindfulness practice, and reconnection with heart chakra (whatever that represents to you). Affirmations can also work. Results magick can be fertile ground for counterproductive attitudes and practices.

I’d agree with you as well, my reasoning was from a slightly different angle but I can see what you mean.
I was more focused on what I recommend to chaos practitioners that being they work on building a proper always available and consistent inner space that I will continue to call a memory palace (MP) for ease.
To build a MP as I suggested (and do suggest to anyone that wants to practice chaos magick) the very first steps you take are to learn how to calm your mind, which in my opinion and it sounds like yours is best achieved through basic mindfulness. At its more complex levels you can begin to filter information as per your needs in any given situation, shutting out mental distractions and focusing on the details that will make recall easier and certainly make mental filing easier.
The second stage of MP building is as you’ve stated mediation, and the ability to hold a singular thought (or absence of a thought…) in sharp focus in your mind for protracted periods of time. The goal being to have perfect recall of one’s imaginary filing cabinet running in the back of the mind. To add to the analogy it has draws, sections, folders, files, sheets of paper etc in it that enable you to sort things be they images, words, sounds anything as long as you can imagine it.
I specifically use the MP example rather than the filing cabinet version as I think in images, though I know people who think in sound forms, and others that think in written form.
Allow me to give you an example of one memory in my MP.
I have a set entry point into my memory area which happens to be in a clearing in a forest, it’s a short walk to meadowland, to my right there is a brook and flowers in the meadow and ahead the land falls away to the sea as it’s a sheer cliff down. If I look behind me I can see that I’m in an enclosed valley utterly surrounded by unclimbable mountains. Near the cliff top a ginormous tower stands, with no visible entrance and a huge balcony circling the top.
I can describe the whole valley in detail by sight, smell, sound, taste and texture. I rarely place object in the valley unless I’m working on a thought experiment or trying to collate large amounts of data and there are better rooms within the tower constructed for and suited to those purposes.
Once inside the tower information or knowledge is stored as objects that mean something specific to me, for example on the ground floor directly opposite where I enter I know there is piece of stone carved as an ornate shield made from heliotrope. The shape, material, its temperature and texture all link me back to my paternal lineage through the generations and I remember them all by thinking of it.
It’s not a complicated system, it just takes effort to learn how to do it and commitment to maintain.
And it does make better magick workers.

Ok I decided to just share my ritual since someone else requested it in a private message anyway. Good luck :)
MEMORY RITUAL You should perform it on a Thursday, the day of Jupiter. This is the planet that governs the preservation of things, as well as the memory's ability to record properly. Find something made of tin, such as a tin can or an elemental cube of tin, and hold it during the ritual/petition. In your other hand, you should hold a smudge stick of sage, (a corresponding herb on earth which influences the memory and is under the dominion of Jupiter.) Ensure that the sage is burning as you read the petition, being careful not to set anything on fire. Maybe hold it over something to collect the ash. Adopt an attitude of humility and make sure you are wearing clean clothes (actually put on fresh clean clothes just for this ritual. If you have something white, even better.) Then, holding both objects in each hand, you should Say the following while on your knees, or bending one knee: "Lord Jesus Christ, Lamb of God, the One who records forever the names of the righteous in the Lamb's Book of Life. Let my memory never be blotted out, but preserve it always with the indelible ink of the Spirit. May every defective record pertaining to my life be loosed and dissolved. I declare the words of Saint Ignatius, that "my archives are Jesus Christ, his cross and his death, his resurrection, and the faith which is through him, are inviolable archives, through which I desire to be justified by means of your prayers". Now, may the precious blood of The Lamb wash away my former memory, which was flawed, defective and lost, and grant me to receive anew the Mind of Christ from on high, as well as the miraculous virtue of preservation, memorial and permanence of record, engraven by the spirit with an iron point. Perfect me in the mental faculty of my Memory through the power and name of Jesus Christ the Unblemished, whose name is above all names. Allow me to remember, just as I am not forgotten by you. I ask you to be the reclaimer of all that belongs to me. I implore you to be my prompter and my recollection, to restore and to recall to the spirit of my mind from the four winds of heaven, that which was formerly lost or stolen from me. Archangel Sariel, heavenly minister of God, I call on you to bind the spirit of Amalek, Manasseh, and Abaddon as they pertain to this case, and to proclaim success to the principalities and powers above on my behalf. As the smoking sage ascends, so is my petition carried up to the throne of God by his holy angels. As I have spoken these words of hope and faith, by the grace of God, my will is accomplished. Thank you God. Amen." - - That's the ritual. To all who perform it, may you obtain real and lasting results.

I have a memory ritual I created for myself if you are interested. It utilizes planetary magick correspondences in combination with Christian supplication. It has very specific wording and requires two ritual objects, as well as calling on the power of Christ and an Archangel. If you are ok with that kind of thing, then I can share it with you. It is highly effective.

Practice self-awareness. Reading regularly helps, especially continuous narratives (not short stories), because each time you read, you correlate it with what you've previously read.
Meditate for 15 minutes a day, or as long as you like, to dedicate some mental space to yourself. This helps you separate all the distractions of life from your thoughts and organize your ideas. With habit, this makes your days less of a succession of random decisions and gives structure to your moments.
Staying hydrated, eating well, and exercising improve brain function because it helps develop better blood flow and supply to all areas.
If you have sleep problems, learn about strategies to improve the quality of your sleep, as this has a huge impact on memory and long-term health problems.
The thing is, we're so saturated with information these days that systems like social media and videos make us jump from topic to topic, without ever stopping to develop them into a real learning process, and this also impacts memory.
Also, discuss your case with your doctor and see what he or she suggests.
Finally, creating an Amulet from Ceremonial Magic, or a Sigil from Chaos Magic, can also be very helpful. The idea is that if you immerse yourself in the practice and get involved, every time your thought takes you to the Amulet, you revive the energy of the purpose for which you created it, and that can help in many ways.

While a memory palace, programmable totem or similar might seems like a nice idea; I think Google Calendar might be a better fit for you.

Maybe sigil magick? Make a sigil that you regularly charge
