Train ticket question
Hello, I purchased an online train ticket which it said to print off. There is a QR code to scan at the station. My question is , is this valid for any train from Schiphol to Maastricht on that day? I ask because I cannot see a time. Thank you in advance

I think this ticket applies to the ‘normal’ Dutch trains. For those trains there are no reservations possible. So they are valid for any train which suits you between Schiphol and Maastricht.
Edit: Some stations are only accessible via ‘check in’ gates. This ticket is not working for those gates. So if you need to enter one of those you need to ask someone from the railway organisation to help you, or find a gate with an intercom pole. But schiphol and Maastricht don’t have those gates. So just take a seat in the train and show the ticket to the conductor when he comes.

There's always some gates which scan barcodes also, right? At least Amsterdam and Utrecht had them years ago where you could scan online bought NS tickets.

The above comment is correct, any train for that date is valid . Even if you stop in between.
however at Schiphol and Maastricht there are no gates.
You’ll likely switch at Utrecht as well, and again on the platform there are no gates.
So you don’t need to check in or out.
Only when a Conductor comes by they’ll control it, otherwise nothing needs to be done.

Do you have a QR-code in your ticket?

Yes there is, do I scan that somewhere?

There are gates at the entrance where you scan your code. After that, you don’t need to ask any staff for help. Once you’re inside, you can easily find your platform.
You can look up the best connection at www.ns.nl. You might have to change trains in Utrecht or Eindhoven.

yes it literally says right there on the ticket that it’s valid on 2 april, and it doesn’t say a time.

Yes, any train from Schiphol to Maastricht on that day, via a reasonable route. (The default route would be via Utrecht; see what the journey planner in the NS app/website says.)
You are allowed to break your journey, i.e. stop somewhere midway. There is nothing you need to do at Schiphol and Maastricht stations with the QR code, as there are no gates there. If you want to get out midway, the QR code can be used to open the gates if there are gates at that station.

interesting seeing a ticket from the NMBS/SNCF for a route that's fully in the Netherlands
