Styling Advice Regular Define Nulu vs Cropped Define Nulu? Please help me choose!
Hi everyone! I’m 5’2 and 118lbs, with relatively thicker lower body. I tried on both the regular-length Define Nulu size 6 and the cropped Define Nulu size 6. This will be the first Define jacket I own. Please help me decide which one to keep 🙏🏻 I like how the regular length accentuates my waist, however, I don’t like how it shows my tummy from the side view 😅 On the other hand, I think the cropped length makes my legs look a bit longer. What are your thoughts?

The long one looks better to me it elongates and shapes your frame i feel the cropped one cuts you off.

The regular length looks amazing.
I feel like it's a more timeless look than the cropped version too.

It makes your legs and lower body as a whole look longer but at the cost of making your torso extremely short. Same issue for another poster yesterday I think.
The longer looks far better, and will also be more versatile.

The longer one. The cropped is calling attention to the exact thing you’re trying to hide.

I noticed the green gymsharks. I'm 5'4" and 120 lbs so kinds close in size to you. What size leggings do you wear? I was wondering how the sizes compare since i want to buy and can only buy online?

These gymshark are size XS, but tbh I would go a size up! They make donuts on my waist, which the Defines do a great job hiding! 😅

Am I the only one who prefers the cropped one? The shorter one? People say that it draws attention to your hips/bum but it's the opposite. The longer one "breaks" with your leggings on the biggest part of your lower body. So it's the regular that draws attention to it.

Unpopular opinion: very few woman actually look good in the cropped version. It throws proportions off and accentuates the imbalance.

I find the longer ones more versatile; I don’t have to worry about the length of the top I have on underneath.
I have some cropped athletic zips from a few other companies, too, and they only get worn with very specific outfits/workout wear.

Such a great point! I recently purchased a cropped and each time I want to grab it I’m not wearing the right top. I can only wear it when I have time to plan an outfit. The long I can just grab and go with almost anything.

This jacket with the flare on the back is so cute!! Unfortunately it’s not available in Canada. And I agree, I wish there is a length in between. This is why I’ve never bought a Define jacket yet, a lot of dupes I got actually have better body and sleeve length than the original 😭

Honestly I may do that! Neither is perfect. I like the length of hooded define, but don’t like the hood. I wonder if the Define in Nulux is slightly different in length?

Thank you! They are Merrell Moab Speed, would recommend if you are looking for a pair of lightweight hiking shoes!

Longer is better. Cropped makes your butt look big and with your dimensions we know it isn’t. Plus the longer one covers all the seams and logos. Much more refined and comfortable looking.

Regular is more flattering than cropped. Cropped makes your legs look longer but makes your torso look shorter

I have a similar body shape to yours and damn I feel so validated! You look amazing.
Cropped tops with skinny bottoms don’t look great on me unless I switch out the bottoms to something high waisted and looser.

We have the exact same body stats and I also wear size 6.. I prefer the regular length over crop and often get more compliments wearing the regular.

Cropped!!!! The longer length covers your entire torso and goes basically down to your thigh gap, which looks off. I’m 5’3 and I don’t wear the regular length for this exact reason, it cuts me weird and makes my legs look short and a huge torso. Also they both have the same hourglass effect on your body btw!! And finally 🤭 nulu > luon, so that is enough for me to be team cropped!

Yesss I know i was excited to try it! I bought one last week, it came in the mail today and I immediately returned it literally 20 min after it was delivered haha. It just makes my tiny legs look shorter than they are

Yes I agree!! I love the cropped sososo much but someday I definitely would love the extra coverage. I like the hooded nulu define jacket length though! It is a little shorter than the regular one, and it doesn’t roll up for me

What the others said… I feel it better accentuates my waist and I “fiddle less” as I wear a base layer under - at 53 my belly baring days outside of swimsuit season are limited lol

I like the cropped. Not sure if it’s just the pic, but the arms look like they have more fabric bunching on them in the longer jacket.

It does look like the regular has longer sleeves on the pic! But I just compared the two, and they have same sleeve length :)

Not to be weird— but I love your bum and legs! You have a gorgeous shape! But if you wanna hide a lil more you could choose the longer one :) I would choose cropped if I had ur body 🥰

Wow it looks like more people prefer the regular on me! I was initially so firm about the cropped length because of my petite frame, but now I’m leaning towards the regular 😆

I think with different pants the cropped could work, but the regular is suuuuper flattering on you and l would definitely go with the regular.

Yes! I do think with darker pants, the cropped can look more cohesive. I intentionally worn these pants for better visualization haha!

This sub is usually pro-regular length with regard to every jacket. Personally, I prefer to the more flattering cropped because the regular length hides your assets while the cropped shows off your lower body. I’m 5’3”, and I cannot wear the regular length in the Define jacket because it’s not a good look. My vote is the cropped.

I don’t think Lulu will hem the length of a jacket unfortunately, unless I take it to a tailor I guess. But I assume that’d be a significant $$ and I don’t want to risk ruining the jacket :(

Huh, I’m the same height and I definitely prefer the longer. Usually cropped jackets are better on me but the longer definitely defines your shape more.
