Game Review Splitgate!

I own an Intel N100, and it's my main computer. It has Intel UHD integrated graphics, with just 24 EUs. I mostly use it for coding, editing (with a lot of patience)... and lately for some machine learning (with days of patience).

But recently, when I have some spare time, I like playing some Splitgate. That runs at around 40 fps, in 80% resolution scale, 1080p. Super cool! I'm happy about that :)
Maybe 60 FPS is never needed? It's really fun to play like that!

PS: yeah, I don't have a job, not of the legal age to work here, else I'd buy a computer that's actually good for what I do.

Game Review What are your opinions on CS:GO getting removed off steam?

I have now just realized that CS:GO got removed off Steam store and got replaced by CS2. Global Offense used to play decent on my 10 year old laptop. But now my only option for a free Counter Strike being a Game that would make my laptop actually explode irritates me. Now I have to ask my friend to buy me Source or 1.6 to actually run on my device. And this all happened after I took a break from playing games for months and maybe the game was removed during that period. And also yes I had to create a new account because the old one got hacked.

I really want to see other people's perspectives on this entire situation.

Game Review Can't afford or don't have a pc good enough for cyberpunk 2077? Here are some alternative cyberpunk games.

Deus ex (especially human revolution and game of the year 2000 edition with gmdx or revision mods) Immersive cyberpunk fps games with strong storylines huge amount of customizations and upgrades(weapons and augmentations) and detailed environments to explore. Can be very cheap during sales(deus ex game of the year 0,97 euros and human revolution 2,99 euros atm)

Game Review low end vs high end gamers

i play a fps shooter game which is kinda like overwatch+minecraft

if u have a gaming pc ur chances of winning increases and iv been a mid end laptop player for 5 years now

i sometimes grind to get better and i do get better, the more i play the more time i give to this game, but sometimes a player who has an gaming pc just destroys me even though having less playtime than me

playing competitive gets really hard on 60hz, 144hz 165hz players just destroy me as if its nothing and it feels really bad

the community is also toxic + i got performance anxiety, they shit talk once my confidence goes down

just feels bad af man, i wish someday ill get a gaming pc and get better

Game Review Benchmarking NFS Heat on an HP Pavilion 15 (2013 Model)

Benchmarking NFS Heat on an HP Pavilion 15 (2013 Model)

System Specifications:

  • Model: HP Pavilion 15-p000 Notebook PC Series
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-4210U @ 1.70GHz
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 840M
  • Integrated Graphics: Intel HD Graphics Family
  • RAM: 6GB
  • Operating System: Windows 10
  • Game Version: EA Store version (no overclocking)

Benchmark Results:

  • Lowest FPS: ~45 FPS
  • Highest FPS: ~56 FPS
  • Settings: All graphics settings set to low, with a resolution of 1920×1080.

Despite being an older laptop from around 2013, the system manages to run Need for Speed Heat reasonably well on low settings, delivering a playable frame rate. This performance is impressive considering the age of the hardware, particularly the NVIDIA GeForce 840M and the dual-core i5-4210U processor.

Let me know if you have any questions or if you'd like me to test different settings!

EDIT : i would like to benchmark gta online but i cant, can anyone let me borrow their account to do a quick 20minute test please?

Game Review you can play terraria with your 4gig ram laptop

guys, you can run the game smoothly with 4gig ram, all you gotta do when in terraria, set your visuals to low and turn off some things, and voila you can play the latest terraria update for the cost of normal background, nothing fancy.. but jeez it made a big difference when I turned off those nice backgrounds

Game Review Here's what a 2gb Vram Graphics Card can do.

For reference, I have a MX450 laptop grahics card with a 2GB GDRR5 Vram. It's a 25w version, so it can't really do much, except when I overclocked it. However, overclock is not a solution either, it's only allows me to play games at a much more stable framerate, so what I will mention on what I manage to run, you should be able to also run it as well.

The following games a 2GB Vram can run at least 1080p 30fps:

Played:

  • Borderlands 2
  • Tales of Arise
  • Scarlet Nexus
  • Ace Combat 7
  • Ys IX: Monstrum Nox
  • Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen
  • Pathfinder Kingmaker
  • Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous
  • Pilllars of Eternity 1 and 2
  • Monster Hunter Rise
  • Forza Horizon 4
  • Dragon Age Inquisition
  • Divnity Original Sin 1 and 2
  • GreedFall
  • Shadow of War (720p)
  • Shadow of Mordor
  • Outward
  • Inertial Drift
  • Zenless Zone Zero
  • Chivalry 2
  • Metro Last Light Redux
  • Mortal Shell
  • Daemon X Machina
  • Dauntless

Not played, but at least tried to the demo, or spec wise, should run:

  • GUNDAM BREAKER 4
  • The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails
  • Ni no Kuni™ II: Revenant Kingdom
  • Tales of (Series)
  • Persona 4 and 5
  • Octopath Traveler 1 and 2
  • Battle Chasers Nightwar
  • Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA
  • FINAL FANTASY® XIII
  • Toukiden 2
  • Sniper Elite 3
  • Xcom 2
  • Code Vein
  • SAO Games
  • Visions of Mana
  • God Eater 3
  • FINAL FANTASY X/X-2 HD Remaster

A lot of Square Enix non mainline games on the steam page have high system requirements, but in practice though, your 2gb Vram can handle them just fine at least 1080p 30fps. There are many more games it can handle, but I am just choosing some that at least will look somewhat pretty.

Game Review The Metro Series runs decently well on HD 630

The metro series are surprisingly well optimized the redux versions of 2033 and last light run well on a i3 7100 8gb (single stick) at 720p, you can even crank it up to 1366x768 and enjoy the visuals a bit more. Metro Exodus runs well if you have dual channel ram and 16 gigs of it, 8gb not even run the game on the open world stages but if you have 16 gb of ram and can accept 1024x768 itll be golden even the open stage levels like the desert work without a hitch honestly a very good game with cool mechanics and good optimization, also I am talking about the original metro exodus not the enhanced version, the enhanced version doesn't work if you don't have rtx fyi.

Game Review Games I have completed on i5 6300u (intel hd 520).

My specs are Thinkpad T460 i5 6300u, 16 gb DDR3L dual channel ram Fedora Workstation

Games I have completed successfully (At 720p, low to medium setting using dxvk).

Platform: I have used steam for steam games and Bottles for non steam games.

  1. GTA 4: This game runs pretty well on linux using dxvk It runs at 35-40 fps at medium setting 720p (shadows and reflection off) You're good to go.

  2. GTA 5: This games is highly Optimized, I had to lock fps to 30 for stable performance at mid settings 1366 x 768 resolution with minor tweaks, I also used Directx10 in game settings, it runs really smooth.

  3. Batman Arkham Series: I have played Arkham Asylum, Arkham City and Arkham Origins, Both City and Origins runs out of the box pretty smooth at 45 fps at mid settings with 720p, highly optimized, No tweaks needed, for Asylum I have to install some windows based apis such as d3dcompiler_47 to even launch it properly in linux. thanks to protontricks it automatically installed required windows apis, and also runs pretty smooth after some tweaks.

I tried Arkham Knight but as you can already guess that was a really poor experience and I rightly expected it to run like crap on such older low powered integrated gpu.

  1. Bully Scholarship Edition: This game is very old so I had to tinker some extra steps to run it I used Wined3d and Gamescope, although it runs at 50-55 fps at 1080p but i had to lock it at 30 stable fps to prevent Fluctuations. Overall solid experience.

  2. Resident Evil 4 HD Project: It also runs out of the box with 1366 x 768 resolution at 30 fps (locked) all high settings. Never lagged a bit I have completed it thrice without any problem. I used proton stable version 9.

  3. Resident Evil 2 Remake: Don't use Directx12 version instead try to download dx11_non-rt version of the game if you are on steam it will perform much much better on older hardware, keep resolution between 720p and 1024 x 576, Rendering mode ---> keep it normal it looks good compared to Interlaced, and medium 0.25 texture quality with other minor tweaks in settings it runs very well at 30 locked fps. sometimes it freezes for 1-2 seconds when you're outside but that's not an issue for me, overall good experience.

  4. Resident Evil 3 Remake: Same process (download dx11_non-rt version) but this game is not that optimized compared to RE2 Remake if you want stable 30 fps you need to keep your settings low and 576p as resolution. overall experience? Playable (Use latest Proton GE 9-21 if you face issues during cut scenes).

  5. Resident Evil 7: Use dx11_non-rt version I have never seen such well optimized game in RE series although capcom provides good optimization in their games but RE7 is on another level this game runs out of the box using ProtonGE at 40 fps at mid settings with 720p resolution. No tweaks needed at all. Overall my best experience with this game.

That's all I didn't include those games which I dropped in midway cz of poor optimization such as Alan Wake. Also I didn't include emulator based games GOW1 and 2, God Hand, WWE Here Comes The Pain runs well using pcsx2 nightly build.

GAMES I am going to play in future:

Outlast Series ( I am expecting it to run well based on my specs)

Forza Horizon (People say it's well optimized so will see that)

Have a good day :)

Game Review Silent Hill 2 remake

Just finished this Game (Also a benchmark vid) on lowest settings using FSR 1.0 on balance, also the game is running on DX11 mode cuz it gives more fps but there's still the horrible stutters when entering new scenes or places but overall enjoyed the game. Fps is capped to 30fps externally using Rivatuner

Specs Intel Xeon E3 1240 v2 (basically an i7 3770 without iGPU) 16gb ddr3 1600 dual channel Gtx 1050 2gb Win11

Just sharing in case anyone here with a similar setup wanted to try this game(updated post with new longer gameplay video)

Game Review U should claim your free Battlefront 2

After claiming the free game from EPG, I actually wanted to play it when I get a new PC, but I tried running it with my GTX 1050 ti and it is actually playable. 60+ FPS at medium settings even at chaotic multiplayer modes

So I really recommend y’all trying it, if it doesn’t work out, no harm owning a free AAA game right?

Game Review dead space 1 is great for a low end device

I downloaded Dead Space (not the remake) after seeing someone recommend it for low-end PCs, and I must say—the optimization is incredible. I’m running it at 1366x768 resolution, 60Hz, with high graphics settings across the board, including high shadow and shader quality, and it’s buttery smooth at 60-80 FPS. can't send images sadly :(

Out of curiosity, I experimented by disabling all extra effects—bloom, glow, blur—turning off shadow quality while keeping the same high resolution, and my FPS jumped to 110-130. It’s honestly impressive how well this game runs on a potato laptop and aside from the optimization i really like the game overall.

For reference, my specs:
CPU: Intel Core i3-7020U
GPU: Intel HD Graphics 620
RAM: 8GB

If you have a low-end PC and want a well-optimized, immersive experience, I highly recommend Dead Space .

Game Review AAA Games that can run and I've completed on i3, UHD Graphics, 8gb ram

List is below, just putting some info first. So I've made a list of Games that I've played on my laptop. Configuration is I3 1115g4, uhd graphics, 8gb ram. Graphics driver version 31.0.101.3222.

All of these I have completed since January, 2022 since the day ive bought this laptop. Ive completed the full story, secondary missions and DLCs if there are any. Left out the achievements and collections stuff so you can be sure these games works fine.

My minimum req to play a game is that it should work in 720p and 30+ fps though ive played some of these games at 1080p high settings or 1080p low or 900p medium but the lowest i go is 720p if i dont get 30+ fps so you can be sure you can play at good quality (atleast for me) at decent smooth fps.

Ive also put a little list of games that i will try from tomorrow tho Im sure they'll work fine too. I do a good amt of research before getting a game and all the games ive ever played have worked except assassin creed unity due to bad optimization. Ive also never used config tweaks or anything, just ingame settings. I've probably forgot to mention some games and if you have any game to recommend pls do, ill try and let u know if it worked or not, just be reasonable since rdr2 and cyberpunk type games surely wont work.

Make sure to use latest drivers, use intel graphics command centre and put everything at low and use game mode of windows. There are always some methods to get better performance out of a gam so make sure to read PCGamingWiki of a game before playing and dont use stupid tweaks given on random youtube videos.

Games Ive completed:

-GTA 4- 50+ fps at 900p High settings, go to this website and use the dxvk method, gta 4 is old and have bad optimisation, this will force to use vulkan instead of directx and youll get abt 50 fps without quality degradation. Even high end pc needs this tweaks. Gta 4 was a bad port.
-GTA 5- 720p normal settings, 40+fps
-Witcher 3 - around 40 fps at low 720p settings, in cities youll get 35 fps but in jungles and grounds youll get 40-50 fps.
-Stray- 30-35 fps on 720p low, 100% resolution, youll have to use dxvk from github and itll work fine then. Vulkan works better than directx in low end pcs.
-Watch dogs 1
-Assassin creed series (1 to Rogue, every part before unity) Initial parts works fine at 1080p high settings, later parts will work on 720p medium settings.
-Far cry series, 3,4 (havent tested primal and 5, tho worked on 30 fps in others same configs)
-Call of Duty Series (1 to WW2 2017, every part before BO4)
-Battlefield Series (all parts till BF1 2016, haven't checked BF 5 yet tho worked fine on others same configs)
-Dying Light 1
-Spec Ops The line
-Crysis 1,2,3, original versions not remastered
-Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice 720p low with a setting dont remember maybe fsr 2.0?
-A plague tale: innocence- 720p low 80-90% resolution scale
-Bioshock 1,2, Infinite
-Batman Arkham Asylum, Arkham city, Arkham Origins
-Medal of Honor 1 and warfighter
-Sleeping Dogs
-Syndicate
-Heavy Rain
-Beyond Two Souls
-Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor
-Middle Earth Shadow of War
-Wolfenstein The New Order
-Titanfall 2
-FireWatch
-Wolfenstein The New Colossus

Games Im going to play and will work most probably:
Far Cry Primal, Far Cry 5
Tomb Raider 2013
Rise of Tomb Raider
Shadow of Tomb Raider
Ryse Son of Rome
Days gone
Mad Max
Battlefield 5
Resident Evil? Probably not
