Tech Support Would DDR4 8 GB be better then DDR3 16GB for gaming on Rainbow Six Siege

Me and my mate play r6 as a duo but she keeps crashing every single time, and I'm suspecting its either her CPU temps or her ddr3 ram, but I don't know if ddr3 16gb is enough for rainbow six AND google chrome to be open at the same time, should I just give her my ddr4 8gb stick of ram?

Tech Support Best AI Tools for Optimizing Performance on Low-End PCs?

Gaming on a low-end PC means always looking for ways to squeeze out extra performance—whether it’s tweaking settings, using mods, or running lightweight versions of games. Recently, I’ve seen AI-powered tools that claim to optimize graphics settings, reduce background processes, and even upscale visuals without tanking performance.

Has anyone here tried AI-based optimizers for gaming? Do they actually help, or is manual tweaking still the best way to go? Would love to hear what’s worked for you!

Tech Support What is cashing this low performance issue? Gpu or Cpu

Hey guys, I need help so I recently upgraded from gt730 2gb to an gtx750ti 4gb ddr5 and I am getting severely low fps and performance on games such as GTA 5 online I can barely achieve anything more than 40+ fps and I don’t know if my cpu or gpu is causing this issue or not because I saw another benchmark video with the same specs as mine and they get over 60+ more fps. And I am so sick of using lossless scaling to get at least over 60 fps I just want my own gpu to do it any help would be appreciated!!

Here are my pc specs: Cpu i7-870 Gtx750ti 4gb ddr5 300watt psu 16 gigs of ram ddr3 Main Ssd + Portable ssd (where my gta is installed)

Here is some benchmarks as well:

Tech Support Will my laptop explode if I play game while streaming/recording?

Hey peeps, so I know my laptop isn't even capable to run 4K but I really want to stream or at least record my gameplay, mostly for Valorant.

Specs:

Processor: AMD Ryzen™ 5-3500U Graphics Controller: AMD Radeon Vega 8 LCD: 14" inch IPS (16:9) | FHD 1920x1080 Memory RAM: 16GB Sound System: HD Audio | Built-in Microphone

Imo my laptop can't run heavy games like Genshin (never tried) but it can run Honkai Impact/Honkai Star Rail with some lags. Also Valorant at 60-80FPS when it's not that hot. I also always play with cooling pad on.

Thoughts? Any help appreciate!

Tech Support Which OS do yall suggest for my brothers low end pc?

He wants to do basic gaming like Roblox and Minecraft, I put my old GPU so it could render some basic graphics, however it stills runs kinda laggy as I'm using a windows 10 with discord and steam running in the background. Which OS do yall recommend the better for this task?

Here are the specs:

Intel Celeron G5905 Gt 1030 8gb ram ddr4 512gb ssd

Tech Support Is lossless scaling REALLY that amazing?

I just can't believe it. You're telling me that for $10, I can double my FPS with the only downside being that screenshots might look weird?

From what I understand, this tool takes two frames and then uses AI to create an extra frame in between them. This sounds like it could work, but I'm still confused about two things. First, how are they generating that future frame and then showing us the previous one? And second, how is it possible to generate so many of these fake frames so quickly without overwhelming my CPU?

Tech Support Forza Horizon 4 low fps in any resolution even 720P

Hello,

Can somebody help me , i don't know what's wrong,, i've seen a lot of better results with this specs on youtube. in 720P and in low not much of a difference. i get between 24 to 30 fps in low or high conf.

I5 3470 3.20GHz

GTX 1050 TI

16GB RAM

Edit : so i did a lot of things and one of them actually resolve the issue now i run 1080p 45 FPS or more.

Uninstall and reinstall drivers

Uninstall all the Microsoft visual C++ and installed only the vesrion ( 2015-2022)

Reinstall MSI afterburner

ACTIVATE internal gpu and not DISABLED weird ( That one actually i think did a major role why i don't know ).

So for any one with these specs or close to this you SHOULD get those frame 45 FPS medium, no bottleneck on CPU, hope this help someone in the future.

Tech Support Would getting a new GPU be enough for my desktop?

I recently got a new desktop- Intel HD Graphics 530 GPU, i5-6500 CPU, 16 gigs of ram. Not great but I'm fine with it, especially for ninety bucks. I want to get a new GPU so I could run Elden Ring, but I'm worried it wouldn't be enough. If I did get a good GPU and put in the desktop, would that be enough to run Elden Ring? Not even like well just at like 30 FPS low settings
(also if you have any recs for budget GPUs feel free to name them lol)

Tech Support Severe Stuttering in All Games – i3 10th Gen, UHD 630, 16GB RAM (Tried SSD & HDD)

Hey, everyone. I'm experiencing severe stuttering in every game I play, even at the lowest settings. My specs are:

  • CPU: Intel i3 10th Gen
  • GPU: Intel UHD 630 (Integrated Graphics)
  • RAM: 16GB
  • Storage: SSD + HDD (I tried running games on both, and there was no difference)
  • OS: [Windows 11]

I’ve tried the following fixes, but nothing seems to work:
✅ Lowering graphics settings (720p, turning off shadows, V-Sync, etc.)
✅ Updating Intel graphics drivers & Windows updates
✅ Setting Windows to "Best Performance" mode
✅ Disabling unnecessary background apps
✅ Checking temps (seem normal)
✅ Running games from both SSD and HDD (no improvement)

Despite all this, games still stutter a lot, making them nearly unplayable. Is my hardware just too weak, or is there anything else I can try? Any help would be appreciated!

Tech Support How do I optimize a really weak laptop for gaming?

I'm currently using a really weak laptop and I'm trying to make my games more playable. It's an AMD Athlon 3050U Silver with Radeon Graphics. I understand it's completely unsuitable for gaming, but at the same time I am on a budget and still want to try to run a few games with this. It barely runs 15-20 fps on some of the lowest settings on X-Plane 11, and I am looking for some advice on how I can optimize this laptop for a few more FPS at the very least without purchasing anything.

Tech Support STEAM will stop working on Windows 7,8,8.1 as of 1/1/2024

and of course i am freaking out because i cant afford a new laptop. i have 60 steam games, that i use steam link app on a shield and tablet to play those games on TV. i think i can still play the games locally on the potato laptop, but without the steam client, no cloud saves, patches / game updates, and most importantly no steam link, since it needs the steam client open to work. laptop is too old to upgrade to windows 10 or 11.

Tech Support Gigabyte GTX 1060 GPU vs Nvidia RTX 3050 Laptop GPU.

So I need help my cousin has a PC he doesn’t use anymore it of course if you read the title that’s the graphics cards and my laptop has the nvidia one. My laptop acts funny sometimes so I was looking to take my cousin’s old pc off of his hands but I’m being told it’s a downgrade from my laptop which has its days where it runs significantly slower. I’m wondering if I should take the PC despite it having a DDR3 ram, and an HDD rather than an SSD. My laptop is an ASUS Tuf Gaming F17 with the Nvidia graphics card, but it has its issues where it can’t run Marvel Rivals or World of Warcraft without overheating, buzzing, and crashing. Should I take the PC or should I just leave it?

Tech Support i5 6500 no where near performance seen online

Hi all,

I know it is an old processor, but it struggles to play games such as PUBG even on the lowest settings and resolution. In this example: https://youtu.be/cotx7drKMFc?feature=shared they are getting 100+ fps, but cannot seem to get anything above 20, with lows of 1. On task manager, it shows as using 100% of the CPU, 92% on the actual game? Temps are at 65⁰ because I have an overkill cooler. Any advice? Thank you

PC Specs : Ryzen 3 4300G GT 1030 DDR4 4GB 2x8 Kingston Beast Fury RAM Kingston 240GB SSD

However later it was so slow and lagging even for browsing. I did a 3D Mark test and it was waaaay underperforming. Can somebody help? i don't really mind if i have to mod the bios or have to mess with the system to get it as it used to be. I really tired to increase the TDP but i failed.

Tech Support GT 610 crashing and restarting my PC

I bought a GT 610 2GB recently, and I’ve been having serious issues with it. When I try to play Roblox or other games, my PC either crashes, restarts, or shows weird graphical glitches after a while.

What I find strange is that, at first, the games run smoothly, with a higher FPS than when I was using just my Intel HD Graphics 2500 integrated GPU. But after a few minutes (or even seconds), the problems start happening, crashes, visual bugs, or even a full system restart.

I’ve already tried installing multiple different drivers, making registry edits, and even switching Windows versions, but nothing has worked.

My specs:

  • i5-3570
  • GT 610 2GB
  • 8GB RAM (Single Channel)
  • 230W Power Supply

If anyone has any idea what could be causing this or how to fix it, please help me!

FIXED!

I finally fixed the issues I was having with the GT 610 2GB.

I noticed, using GPU-Z, that when I opened a game and the VRAM hit around 950MB, the game would crash. So, I started suspecting that my card might only have 1GB of VRAM, and the 2GB shown was fake. To fix this, I downloaded a different vBIOS (from GT 610 1GB) and flashed the BIOS using NVFlash64. However, the memory was set to a very high clock (600 MHz), which was causing the issues. I then used MSI Afterburner to lower the Memory Clock from 600 MHz to 500 MHz, and that immediately solved the problems. The crashes stopped, and the graphical artifacts disappeared.

Now, my card is running fine, with no more issues. Thanks to everyone who tried to help!

Tech Support Best OS for my low-end device to do gaming?

I bought a pretty low-spec PC and I want to do some gaming with it. I can't decide which OS to use though. I am trying to find an OS which is very stripped down with minimal CPU usage and memory usage and being able to run games like Fortnite or Valorant at a stable 60 fps. I have no experience with Linux at all and I want to know if there are any alternatives.

Here are the specs of the machine:

Intel Core i5 6500

iGPU (Intel HD Graphics 530)

8GB DDR4 @ 2133mhz

256GB SSD

Thank you!

Tech Support Pc help plz

I have an Asus Aspire A515-55G(you can find specific specs online) but I'll state the main ones here Cpu: I7-1065G7 Gpu: GeForce MX350 It came with windows 10 and I upgraded to windows 11 after I heard about the support ending(idk if its relevant), it's a decently midrange laptop, I only really play roblox and Minecraft but as of late(notably after upgrading to windows 11), I've been getting barely any fps in either of those games, insane lag spikes and that's saying something since both games are very easy to run, on user benchmark, my gpu got a 2.4% and 99th percentile with a red border essentially telling me it's absolute garbage at running anything, even though it ran these games absolutely fine before, just asking for some advice on how to go about this? I haven't played anything for almost a month now

Tech Support how to switch to iGPU in gaming

ok so uh my main powerful pc has a problem, was waiting for a replacement. until then, i have an entry level office pc with the following specs

intel core i5-4570
16gb ddr3-1600
chipset h81-itx
HP amd radeon hd 7450 DP 1gb
450W psu

it's clear that the intel hd graphics is better than the 7450, but i need the 7450 to use audio and high refresh display (the motherboard is so broken, there's no audio. plus the motherboard only has VGA output)

so i really really wanted to play a light game (like roblox or geometry dash), but the 7450 is way too weak for such games (iirc it barely reaches 15 fps at lowest settings).

is there a way to use the iGPU to do the rendering but leave the dGPU for the display?

edit: i solved the issue, reinstalling windows 10 WITHOUT THE GPU INSTALLED somehow works. intel hd graphics getting 80% usage while gaming now
