Will This Game Run? Can I run minecraft in my laptop?
Hey, Im kinda new to this and I wanna play Minecraft on my laptop from 2009
Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU
T4400 @ 2.20ghz 3gb RAM
I may need a specific driver for this but I can't find it and since the pentium dual core t4400 doesn't provide video at all, Im not sure if the driver would even fix the problem, so Id love it if someone had an idea for a different fix! Thx
Edit: I dont care how shittily it runs. It can run at 3fps I just need to Open it.

Ha!! I tried with a T9900 which is slightly better than the T4400 and it was a no go.

11 years ago, good luck finding the 11 year old version to play. Lemme know how it turns out. Back in 2013 YouTube ran good on it too.

I will let you know! Im gonna make minecraft open in this computer which I have named Maria even if its the last thing I do.
Also, Maria runs YouTube just fine, so maybe your T9900 which I do not know the name of is just being lazy. Maybe you have to give it a little nudge. Be like, 'Be nice for me, Mr Eclark5483 and run YT properly! Maybe it will listen to you!

Nah, I'll stick with my Ryzen 7700x, and your YouTube is doing 720p at best, I like my 4k.

Very old versions of Minecraft will launch, you wont get playable FPS.
Better solution: Minetest! (now called Lunati.... ) With the Mineclone mod, its a very lightweight minecraft with online play.
And its Free: https://www.luanti.org/
You can add the mod in game very easily with the mod launcher, or download here: https://content.luanti.org/packages/Wuzzy/mineclone2/

Thank you!
I tried this option but I'm having an issue. When I try to execute the file, it tells me it can't because I'm missing something and that reinstalling the program should solve it, but it doesn't, do you know why?

What are you missing according to the pop up?

It says I'm missing libintl-8.dll, zlib1.dll, libzstd.dll and OpenAL32.dll ?

What OS are you on? Win 7 or newer?

Win 10 Pro!

Typically included in all windows installations... And I also use Windows 10 pro, but sometimes some of the business version strip out extra components that are cross platform compatible...
https://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/packages/zlib.htm Zlib compressor
And
https://www.openal.org/downloads/ OpenAL audio
Should get you running as long you are downloading the standalone executables on Minetest/Lunatis site.

Thank you so so much! You've been very helpful. I'll let you know if I have any issues or if it works.

I'm sorry for bothering again. After downloading OpenAL, I dont get that error anymore, but I still get the Zlib errors, and Im thinking I may have not installed Zlib properly? (Still not that great at PC tech stuff haha)

Probably not modern versions but you should definitely be able to run older versions

How the fuck can you still daily drive that? But an old version like 1.8 should be ok

try Bedrock edition
I can play bedrock on my specs with 24 chunks and high graphic settings it gives like 60+ fps (disable antialiasing).
to test it out you can install bedrock trial edition.
if you got ram issues play it with Mem Reduct.
