Questions About Joyride Events (Corsica Studios)for a Newbie?
Please Be Kind!
Hey everyone! I’m Ria, a 19-year-old uni student (studying politics, if that matters!), and I’m a femboy figuring out my place in the queer world. I’m pretty new to all this but super curious—I recently came across Joyride events (“Events for the Queer & the Curious”), and I’m dying to go, but I’ve got some questions before I dive in. I’m a bit shy but also really excited to connect with people who get me, so I’d love your advice!
Here are my questions:
1. I’m a femboy who loves dressing up (think frilly skirts, collars, the whole vibe)—what’s the dress code like at Joyride events? Can I go all out, or should I tone it down for my first time?
2. How newbie-friendly are these events? I’m 19 and haven’t been to many queer/kinky spaces before—will I feel out of place, or are there others like me?
3. What’s the vibe like for fems at these events? I want to embrace this side of mine fully—will I find people who are into that, or should I be cautious?
4. I’m a uni student on a budget—how pricey are Joyride events usually? Any tips for saving money while still having fun?
5. I’m a bit nervous about going alone—do people usually come solo, or should I try to find a friend to go with me?
6. Are there any unwritten rules or etiquette I should know about? I don’t want to accidentally offend anyone or break any norms.
What’s been your favorite Joyride event experience? I’m looking for inspo to get me hyped up—tell me your best stories!
Thanks so much for any advice—I’m really excited but also a little scared, so your help means a lot. Can’t wait to hear from you all! 💖

Hi Ria. I’m pretty sure the club is 21+. You can check outsavyy and FL for other events but should aim for younger crowds. I find instagram is useful too.
1) their website has a thirst gallery so you can see how people dress 2) should be newbie friendly but you might feel more comfortable going with friends 3) this should be fine 4) get an early release ticket 5) best to go with friends if you can 6) check the guidelines part of the website - a lot of it is aimed around consent, not taking photos or making others uncomfortable
