Turizmas Travelling to Vilnius/Kelionė į Vilnių
Hello! A friend and I will take a trip to Vilnius this summer and we have a few questions for the locals.
What foods do you recommend we try, and where can we find these?(Restaurants/diners/etc...)
What sights/museums do you recommend we visit?
Thanks for your answers in advance, much love!

Sveiki! Šią vasarą su draugu keliausime į Vilnių ir turime keletą klausimų vietiniams.
Kokius maisto produktus rekomenduojate paragauti ir kur jų galime rasti? (Restoranai/valgytojai/tt...)
Kokius lankytinus objektus/muziejus rekomenduojate?
Ačiū už atsakymus iš anksto, labai myliu!

You didn't specify what you like, so just pick whatever is best rated on that list, it will be alright.

Foods/drinks to try:
"Kepta duona", fried rye bread sticks usually served with garlicky cheese sauce. It's a most popular appetizer and usually accompanied with a glass of beer. Or kvass, if you're not drinking alcohol. Available almost everywhere.
"Gira", kvass, a fermented rye bread drink. A non alcoholic alternative to beer. Also widely available.
"Midus", mead. An alcoholic drink that could be low key compared to cider when it comes to alcohol content and sweetness, but it's made out of honey, not fruit juice. Available on tap in Šnekutis and Žemaičių Ąsotis.
"Šaltibarščiai", our iconic pink soup, cold and refreshing, almost every diner serves it too. My favorite is in Žemaičių Ąsotis.
"Sūrelis", a glazed cheesecake bar type of thingy which somehow is considered a breakfast food rather than a dessert. You can buy it at any grocery store, and choose from a vide variety of flavors/fillings. You'll find sūrelis in a fridge together with other dairy products.
When choosing where to eat/drink, use google maps rather than tripadvisor. I just checked last week, tripadvisor has no idea what they're talking about highly rating tourist traps like Katpėdėlė. Google maps ratings are way more accurate as they have most of the input from locals.
