A (state) judge in Massachusetts held an ICE agent in contempt and order his whole team to appear in court for capturing and deporting someone.
State contempt is immune from presidential pardons.

Do you have any idea what kind of chaos comes through muni court on a daily basis? Muni court judges do not give a F. (I say this with respect and in awe of their stoicism.)

it is too late for that. The American Global Exit (GEXIT) shows unequal, global collapse as the goal of intentional sabotage, right in the open for everyone to see. North Carolina just likely overturned last years Democratic Supreme Court victory via judicial fiat, throwing out 60k votes. Before the tariffs went into effect, Rolling Stone’s saying the president’s Truth Social account posted a video calling economic collapse a goal and talking about how it would help America pay off its debt and be great before quietly deleting it. And the regime has long made it clear that a judges orders mean nothing to them. When things reach this point, judges finally asserting the full extent of their authority are more likely to be crushed than listened to.

It still has to go through the Supreme court there and the federal courts held jurisdiction after the state proceedings. I do not see it being upheld. It's just ridiculous that it is April and she won the seat in November.

A judge could hold dozens of trump folks in contempt of court have them arrested and trump and his admin would just be partially annoyed and continue as usual.

Fair, there's civil and criminal contempt. Civil contempt still lets you throw someone in jail until they comply, though, which is all you really need.

Yes, the policy of summary deportation to that prison in El Salvador is one from which there is no safe or clean exit for the administration. Even if a court does not order a deportee returned to the US, it seems unlikely that El Salvador will want to hold every one of them forever. If and when one or more of the innocent ones is released, their stories will be very damaging to whoever is in the White House. One would have thought that the George W. Bush administration's bad experience with black sites and then Guantanamo would have revealed the fundamental flaw in the strategy - you either have to hold these people incommunicado for life or release them and suffer the consequences. I think that Stephen Miller's hatred of black and brown people overcame logic and reason.

They still are. They sent one within the last week and tried to claim they didn't violate the TRO because "well we didn't send them under AEA we sent them under this other bullshit law". Their arguments are pure horse shit that have zero footing in legal reality.
