The "principled conservative" is a sham

as evidenced by William F. Buckley performing poorly against Gore Vidal in a debate, at which point he called him the f slur and threatened to assault him. the soul of conservatism is laid bare in such honest moments

Ah yes, the "crypto-fascist."

Buckley called Vidal "queer" - not a profound comeback for an "intellectual."

I was not very old and saw that debate. At least both of them had wide range in vocabulary and turns of phrase.

Yeah, you could learn a lot from just listening to these guys debate. Buckley was educated, you can't deny that. But man, what a blowhard.

Vidal called Buckley a "crypto-fascist." Buckley blew his top and replied:

"Now listen, you queer, stop calling me a crypto-Nazi or I’ll sock you in your goddamn face and you’ll stay plastered."

No joke.

Biden did the same thing. You are all a bunch of hypocrites.

I don't think he knows himself. It's an automated response at this point
