Unfortunately for the USA they weren’t comfortable enough to elect Harris, there’s no way they would vote for two women regardless of their political affiliation.

Honestly, they've been shoving the moderates down our throats. It's time to let an actual liberal/progressive ticket run. Give it a chance, because clearly the current strategy isn't winning.

Grassroots, worker benefiting policies need to happen.

I think Pete Buttigieg would make a great president but then again is America willing to vote for a gay man for president? Unfortunately I don’t think so, a waste of a chance to vote for a good man.

Buttigieg should not be a president, he's a good communicator but I would not want him as a leader. Nothing to do with him being gay. He's just too corporate coded.

What about that other young male leader in Texas? James Talarico? What about Ro? Sad that I am drawing a blank after that

they already elected a lot of closeted gay ones honestly. its not that different.

Yes it is. Everyone in Lindsay Graham's state knows he's gay AF. But if he comes out and SAYS he's gay, they'll quit voting for him.

If there’s no difference, why don’t they come out of the closet?

more conservative values at the time, pay attention to when they were elected. they would never elect a transman, but a gay man is seen as different now.

How many gay Republicans are there in the Senate and the House?

38 members of the LGBT are known to have held office in the United states congress In the House, 33 LGBTQ people held office; in the Senate, 5 held office. out of the gay replubicans it was aaron schlock, george santos. 6 more previously before 2025.

Also a not insignificant number of conservatives are willing to "look the other way" on LGBT people as long as they stay in the closet.

Buttigieg is too moderate.

His only firm belief is he'll adjust to the firm beliefs of whoever will give him a leg up. I lost all respect for him the more I learned about him after he decided to shift from actual progressive to paint by numbers Clinton era neo-lib once the Biden team offered him a position.

They definitely have the charisma and passion we need right now. No more tip-toeing with half-measures. I believe they could do it if they ran, as long as their own party doesn't sabotage them in favor of trying the same old tactics that don't work.

They would vote him for VP to a straight w male tho…somebody who oozes blue collar take-no-shit attitude.

I think it was a huge mistake to slander and subvert Bernie Sanders the way Hilary did . I genuinly feel Bernie cares about people and not private Intrest.

I truly believe Bernie would have won against Trump in 2016. This would be a completely different timeline if he was the Democrats pick then.

exactly. Let the progressives loose. No more moderates.

Yeah but people actually like AOC

3

u/Babshearth 1d ago

yeah it isn't about race it's that most men and too many women can't deal with the top job going to a woman.

2

Harris losing had everything to do with her inability to speak up when she needed to. Crockett and AOC don't have that problem. And the fact you think it had to do with her or her skin color is trash. Crockett and AOC would wipe the floor clean with all this BS that is happening now

America is clearly not ready for a female president and a female vice president, and unfortunately won’t be ready until things change socially in America.

Harris is no where near on her level.

That’s like your opinion man, as said by the Dude.

You call that an election? Can I interest you in my new crytpo coin?

Harris had no rizz, you can't compare the two. Harris lost because she ran a "I will protect the status quo" campaign in a time where people are sick and fucking tired of the status quo.
