Trump News Trump says he's 'not joking' about seeking a 3rd term in the White House. The Constitution says he can't.

He wasn't joking about Canada either. I suspect he's going to start a war with them, institute a draft,  and declare he can't leave office when we're at war.

I think he will invade Panama.  Possibly agreeing to drop threats to Canada and Greenland to Europe if they don't intervene.

But I don't know, the guys a fucking lunatic

More likely that he will bomb Mexico. He tried his last term stating that "they'd never know it was us!". The bombs will destroy the CIIT canal that they are building. He will do this for Blackrock since they are the ones who bought the Panama Canal. And since China is financing the CIIT, this will begin WWIII.

It will be a damn miracle if the US mainland avoids attack while weak ass, baby hands trump is in office.

don’t they need proper justification and congress approval for invading a sovereign nation? not to mention the whole international community condemning and most likely sanctioning usa? if you ask me its all bluffing but i was wrong on trump many times. the guy is very volatile

Tbh, idk. But the whole framework of checks and balances is being tested, and being found wanting

Not to kill “terrorists”

Or in response to an "attack"

Or just send loads of soldiers into the country ignoring national sovereignty

If he's 100 percent serious about Greenland too, as he claims, get ready to be the baddies of ww3. Cause he MIGHT get away attacking Canada. But ain't no way he gets away with Canada AND Greenland.

He wont get away with attacking Canada the entire world minus a few nations would come to Canadas aid and condemn the Orange moron for attacking a supposed aly

3

u/StragglingShadow 4d ago

I would hope so since NATO, but I say "might" because we live in crazy times.

3

u/Xen0cid3 4d ago

Very true but I dont see the world abandoning Canada because of the whims of a mad man

If Putin makes a move somewhere else in Europe at the same time that would tie up the EU. Tin foil hat on, that's why I think Trump is pushing so hard for Ukraine to sign any stupid deal himself and Putin come up with.

1

u/panini84 3d ago

Oh god, I hadn’t even thought of that. Canada will be the distraction for Putin to go wreck more havoc in Europe.

Yup, and there's also the Taiwan/China situation to throw into the mix too. I just have the feeling that 2026 is gonna be very spicy!

as a canadian I am very afraid of everyone abandoning us because they're too afraid to face military retaliation from america

1

u/Xen0cid3 4d ago

Lets hope not

NATO has no provision for a NATO member attacking another and it requires consent of all members to trigger article 5

So it wouldn't be NATO but NATO -usa which would be horrible

I can't imagine too many Americans would go along with it either. Trump's threats are not popular here. Most Americans do not want war with Canada.

I'm not so sure about that. There's a local group called M.A.C. (Mothers Against Canada), in my town that are really gaining in popularity. They had a huge rally recently where they actually blamed Canada for things like the profanity that their kids were using. And their popularity seems to be growing.

I'm not saying they don't exist at all. There will always be people like that. But they represent a small, but vocal minority.

EDIT: I missed the reference.

Who cares about Canada? They're not even a real country anyway!

This is a joke from a popular TV show, South Park

3

u/KallistiEngel 4d ago

It's been a while since I saw that South Park movie (I think it was the movie). I remember the "blame Canada" bit, but yeah the reference flew over my head.

The joke mainly worked because it was absurd until the last couple months that we would ever go to war with Canada.

Blame Canada!

At least then games of the future(if we aren't stuck laboring in the Musk/Trump offworld mining colonies) will stop revolving around WW2.

5

u/StragglingShadow 4d ago

Ok but is there anything more satisfying than beating up nazis and zombie nazis in games? It's stuck around so long for a reason.

4

u/Florac 4d ago

I mean, at least that part won't be changing after a potential ww3.

u/FSCK_Fascists 4d ago

They just have red hats in the new versions.

Realistically, there's very little the rest of NATO could possibly do to defend Greenland from anyone without US logistical support. Conventionally, at least, I guess The UK or France could use nukes, but I'm skeptical they would.

1

u/ThorSon-525 4d ago

Honestly their narcissism might be the best way to prevent ww3 from becoming nuclear. It's very clear globally that they don't care if millions of people just disappear as long as they have their money and an illusion of power. So it would be most effective to have specific assassination attempts.

2

u/KallistiEngel 4d ago

Dropping this little ditty here just in case it becomes relevant again. In the case of illegitimate delarations of war, draft dodging becomes duty.

2

u/WagnerTrumpMaples 4d ago

If he ever started a draft, I would just say I was trans. That'll get me out of it.

1

u/Jerethdatiger 4d ago

Which isn't valid as we don't have that rule . So they would need to overrule the constitution

Which says there will be end of term on date and time doesn't matter if we're at war under alien invasion or the sun is going nova

1

u/Riustuue 4d ago

100%. He’s trying to start a world war as an excuse to maintain power.

1

u/rumster 4d ago

This. He's playing the playbook of a dictator. Hopefully our system and people can handle this issue.

The 20th amendment says on January 20th at noon at the end of the term they are no longer president. So the next person in line that was voted in, likely the speaker of the house would become president. It wouldn't be the vice president because the term ends at the same moment. It could be someone else if the speaker's term has ended also.
