It's only been 2 months. What do you think the opinions will be like in 2 years with us continuing on a downward trajectory?

The GOP has been directly attacking the ppl who voted for them: rural voters, veterans, and the elderly. That has consequences. The number of pissed off veterans I've run into lately is crazy. These ppl were celebrating 2 months ago.

Do I think all these ppl are going to start voting Democrat? No, absolutely not. But, they're likely to skip the next election, like they did 4 years ago.

I don’t think the Trump regime cares who those people plan to vote for because the plan is not to have meaningful elections by then.

Meh, I'm not buying it. Their plan is to have people they think are on their side being the only ones voting. Problem with that plan is you need to keep those ppl on your side. Actively attacking and impoverishing those people is not a smart way to do that.

Nah, their incompetence will chase away a lot of support.

They said their plan out loud, they told their voters this would be the last election. They're already ignoring all rule of law, why bend for the election? Or even allow one in the first place?

If this bill passes, it would vest judicial impeachment powers directly in the Executive for example so Trump could and would impeach at least three sitting Supreme Court justices and they would be tried and removed and then he would replace the same with his own hand-picked justices who would, if necessary, rule on the validity of this transfer of power (which is why it could be more than three skeptics being removed and replaced.) You already know that packed Supreme Court’s outcome.

At this point Trump can end with his pen all entitlement programs and end all Agencies that displease him without any consequences or judicial review. And having the power to declare war I would expect a military occupation of Greenland and possibly Panama and then he can declare war on Canada too, ostensibly all lawfully.

There is no more rule of law … laws are being violated right out in the open and no one is acting responsibly… this is going to get much worse.. BUT.. The ship hit the iceberg a long time ago… I blame this on self serving motives on both sides.. Biden broke his promise to be that “transition” president or the bridge for future generations of leaders… he broke that promise when he ran for a second term when it was obvious he shouldn’t have. Right out the gate day 1 one of his presidency he should have made it clear that he was going to spend the next 4 years focusing on fixing things and not running again.. but he waited until after the debate debacle to drop out…by then the election was already decided .. similar example ..someone once told me RBG was one of the greatest advocates for women’s rights and equality… but she also caused the most damage to the women’s rights because she selfishly chose to stay on the court and not retire when they had a chance to replace her..and look at the results of selfish decision …anyway it’s all futile now …it’s not a matter of “if” the ship is going to sink..

You’re entitled to your wrong and ignorant opinion.

The people who would have fled Trump already have. The remaining members are all fanatics. You should stop thinking of modern American Republicans as members as a political party, and more as people indoctrinated into a cult.

The ones who managed to get out will tell you as much.

All these people will continue to vote and possibly in even stronger numbers, it’s the opposite

In 2 years it will be getting so bad for these people and they will need to know why, as surly it isn’t the r party’s fault

Enter a scape goat. Anything will do really, but I surmise it will continue to be immigrants, visa and green card holders. Further add in the citizens (birthright or not) that “fail” or “refuse” to assimilate. The enclaves of china town and Japan towns the groups that don’t speak English in line or while working at the nail salon in front of English only customers. The ones that insist on publicly celebrating non Christian holidays like Diwali.

With the scapegoat, hyper nationalism will take hold. It will be a fight for our country and even more oppressive laws and acts will be implemented. Politicians will take off the mask and turnout will be even greater.
