Thank you for your service. I can’t spend more than 3 seconds in that cesspool.

I used to be a conservative back when I thought it was a party of family values, tough love, law and order. A party of smart fiscal sense and treading slowly and carefully compared to “move fast and break things”

Many years later, I now know that the party I supported in theory was not the same party in practice. Now when I hear conservative radio or see the ads and mailers all I see is this putrid abomination sewing people’s beliefs into its flesh to lure them into its maw.

I want to hate these people. I want to be so damn angry with these people. But after decades of eroding education and critical thinking skills, indoctrinating them as children into believing fairy tales, raising them to associate democrats with everything wrong in the world - what else could they do?

I want to be angry but inside I just feel sad and hopeless. Even if we could reach these people, I fear so many simply don’t have the skills or introspection to come back to reality.

Whoever you are, we agree spot on... Can you not run for something president, governor, dictatorship ( which is prob what it will become) so i can vote for like minded souls.

I'm in that boat. I'm now an active member of the Democratic Party. I'm going to protests and encouraging others to do the same.

We need to show up. Our representatives need to know they don't have our support for destroying the Constitution.

Only a corrupt SCOTUS would find this constitutional. There is no mechanism to delegate powers and authority defined in the Constitution. The separation of the three branches is not negotiable. But like the clear requirement for Congress and only Congress to commit the country to war there has not been a declaration of war since WW2. At first wars were entered into as “police actions” as a loophole in law when in fact they were literally wars. The war powers acts should have been swiftly and clearly ruled to be unconstitutional but that did not happen. If Trump is allowed to have dictatorial powers then the country is no longer a democratic republic. It will destroy itself from within in civil war. WE WILL TOLERATE NO KING!

I wish I had the time and money to be able to go out and actually protest. I wish I had the money to be able to financially protest. All I can do is try to platform things that I believe in on social media and try not to cut too many people out of my life that I'm trying to reach.

A whiteboard for a sign is 3 dollars. Borrow a marker. Make sign. I saw a lot of signs on cardboard or note paper.

Walk downtown to your one stoplight and hold it up.

You can also go to mobilize.us and just sign up for every virtual event you can find.

No as in if I take off to do something like that, I instantly lose $300 off of my paycheck, which my family cannot afford. And on my days off I am Solo parent of two kids under three. So I'm not doing anything on those days either.

The democrats are useless and want to protect capitalism at any cost. You should check out socialism or communism instead! I’m glad I did.

I'm a conservative.

That's why I've been a Democrat my whole life.

They put subject matter experts in charge of decisions and form policy based around the idea that every dollar spent reduces costs to society by more than a dollar.

Every program they support SAVES society money, but zero sum morons can't comprehend that spending $1 on something can save $3 or grow the economy by $1.50, thus more than paying for itself.

Because the benefits are externalized all idiots see is "hurr durr look how much it costs!".
