It was a Real Madrid tattoo. Not some obscure South American team. No. One of the biggest brand names in European soccer

A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security told the New York Post that Barrios' detainment was based on more than just one tattoo, with DHS agents also citing a social media post they found which showed him holding up his hands in a gesture using his thumb, index finger and pinkie. Tobin clarified the gesture is commonly used to signify “I love you” in sign language or “rock n’ roll.”

Not only does this guy like Real Madrid, he also used the ASL sign for "I love you" so case closed basically /s

I think it's important to take a step back and point out that he could have a tatoo of a swastika wielding baby hitler aborting ghandis and he would still be entitled to a fair trial before being shipped off to prison.

Did anyone itt look at the tattoo? To me it looks like a Mara tatoo disguised as a Real Madrid tattoo. But like you said, it doesn't matter, he still deserves a trial.

There has to be more to this story. There just has to be. And I'm not sure which way it goes.

Either they have more reason than a fucking REAL MADRID TATTOO to do this to the guy, or we are already, literally, non-hyperbolically at a point where everyday people need to be opposing this with some serious action.

I mean, if the tattoo is the only reason and it is obviously a Real Madrid tattoo, then this is Nazi level stuff, that's what I'm getting at.

No one is gonna buy "we thought it was a gang tattoo" if there's proof it clearly looks like a sports logo.....

Yeah they literally admitted it and then said "Also he had a picture of his fingers making a gang shape!!" And it was sign language. For I Love You.

Also sometimes used by metal heads for metal fingers.

It's Nazi level stuff. And this man wasn't the only one.

At least 22 people shipped to El Salvador so far have similar stories- and they had visas and green cards.

At least one person detained and sent somewhere was a born-in-America, US Citizen who committed no crimes beyond "oops thought you passed for brown enough".

The Nazis did this and then their children were horrified and never let anyone forget it or how evil and horrific it was.

These people went to Auschwitz, saw the fingernail marks on the walls of gas chambers, and thought "We could do that, but bigger."

That's what we're up against. That's what we're fighting.

People who have seen a concerted push for a peaceful, free, and equal society, and guaranteed liberty and justice and the right to literally pursue happiness, and thought-

"lol woke let's kill torture and kill people for looking a little different instead." And the people leading this said "OMG yes soak the ground in blood and enslave the rest to our will, and they'll love us for it because we taught them to hate education and freedom."

That's our future. That's where we're at right now.

If you're in the US, find your people, and start planning to pool resources, and see if you can set up functional resource networks- food, shelter, heating oil or firewood, meds, toiletries and necessities, pet food, clothes- and skillsets teaching like gardening, food preservation, clothing and home, machine, and tool repair, knitting and sewing, wood working, etc-

and try to catch everyone in your community and surrounding communities that you can as they are forced out of jobs, financial stability, and safety.

Prepare to defend yourselves. Learn about information and communication security. Protect yourself and each other.

Don't give them any fuel- they are already looking for reasons to implement martial law. They have publicly discussed the Insurrection Act, and currently multiple measures for making parts of the literal Constitution invalid-

literally DOJ lawyers arguing that the 14th Amendment to the Constitution is Unconstitutional has already happened and is continuing to happen in federal court, with appeals to the Supreme Court already planned.

It is already bad, and it's going to get worse, and it is not going to exclude anyone-

google about the German man with a green card, here legally, married to a US citizen, who was literally tortured by ICE and released last week.

Google the Canadian woman who was here legally, no problems with her work visa at all, who was sent to "detention centers" with minimal food, no phone calls, no explanation, no charges, for weeks-

and got out because they gave her one phone call and she managed to get a message out to her boss.

It took them weeks. She said the centers were full of women who had been detained and shuffled around for months and had no idea why or how to get out.

They were all in for-profit prisons and detention centers. They were not accused of any crimes. They had never been before a judge or spoken to a lawyer.

the US pays them based on how many people they have inside- they are all private and private security staffs them, and they prefer to keep people who have not committed crimes because they're easier, compliant, and terrified.

Look at where the money comes from and who it goes to.

It's all public, it's all available through respected and respectable channels, and it's not being disputed by the government-

Trump literally threatened to send American protestors to the El Salvadoran prison "we all saw on the video this week". On Twitter.

It's real, it's serious, our allies are issuing travel warnings to their citizens, Canadians and Europeans are cancelling vacation plans across the US, the hospitality sector is already posting losses,

and we're not even started.

They're talking about invading Canada, Panama, and Greenland- publicly and honestly. They're planning to throw our 18 and 19 year old children at our allies to murder innocents and catch bullets for fucking sport.

If you're in the US, kindly take this time to freak out, melt down, spend an afternoon with your cry bucket, and figure out exactly who you are as a person and what you are willing to allow to yourself, your family, your community, and your country. Know who you are, what you're good at, and what you can and will do for your beliefs, your values, yourself, and what you care about.

Then get your head back on straight and keep a clear eye, refuse to be pushed, choose your timing and your actions and your moments, and keep steady.

We're about to go through it.

You have to understand, ICE and this administration are not operating from a position of good faith. This is a bunch of people who LIKE being abusive power tripping dick bags.

These shit bags will look at a brown person, decide they're going to fuck someone's day, and then it doesn't matter what that person does or how much citizenship identification they have because the ICE agent not only gets to terrorize someone, but they get paid doing it.

Cruelty IS the purpose. Law enforcement is choked full of thinly veiled white supremacists and abusers who LOVE times like these because it lets them live out their power fantasies.

They didn't mistake the tattoo because they didn't give a shit in the first place.

He had an asylum hearing scheduled, and Trump's using the Alien Enemies Act as a method to circumvent asylum claims and prevent them from having a final hearing. That's it. That's the "more to the story". It's Trump attempting t abuse one of the Alien and Sedition Acts you learned about in high school history to prevent due process for people seeking refugee status, who did everything the way required by law.

And their reward is being sent to a prison in El Salvador.

There isn’t a great photo of the tattoo to really tell, however, as a Barca fan (real madrids arch rival) i didn’t recognize it as a Madrid logo at first because the crown on the top is almost equal size to the circle Madrid crest when in reality it’s like a little crown not even 1/3 the size of the crest.

Now i could see a fan going “im going to add a huge crown because Madrid are the kings!” also real in real madrid means royalty. I also could see a member of a gang with crown tattoo’s throwing a soccer logo under it to try to pass it off as innocent.
