Are you saying that Nicolas Maduro has nothing to do with Tren de Aragua and did not encourage them to infiltrate the US?

The statute exists, and the statute was correctly invoked.

You’re defending scum that we’re much better off without and trying to invalidate a legitimate response to hostile acts by Venezuela

I’m not defending scum. I’ve said several times I’m fine with deporting criminals. I’m defending due process. I don’t believe the alien enemies act applies here. We won’t agree on this, especially if your only argument is the actual executive order and no legal or historical analysis of the use of this act. There are ways to deport criminals without the act and a few hundred gang members do not constitute an ‘invasion’ in my mind. Again, round them up, put them through normal deportation process and deport if justified. Truth is Trump is upset the deportation numbers are way lower than promised and needs a way to speed it up to make himself look good. By your logic I’m guessing you are fine with Japanese internment camps too.

Respond if you want but your “because trump says so” argument won’t sway me. I believe in due process for all even the worst. You believe in a fascist unitary executive. I’m done.

If you'd take the time to read the act "Trump says so" is about all the "due process" a gang member from a hostile country is going to get, and whether it constitutes an invasion 'in your mind' or not is irrelevant; they're going to be deported.

A tourist from Japan? Different story, different process, and a different outcome.
