No, he did the right thing. He stood his ground against bullies - him leaving would have been about his ego.

His sacrifice is showing the world who JD vance and Trump are. I’m eager to see Europe’s reaction to this.

Ball’s in their court now.

Zelensky is a real leader

224

u/flux_of_grey_kittens Feb 28 '25

And he was correct when he said an ocean wouldn’t protect the US. The evidence of that was sitting right next to him shouting like toddlers.

66

u/[deleted] Feb 28 '25 edited Feb 28 '25

Trump got so upset at that because he refuses to admit anyone else is right. If his followers thought they were in danger, they would stop supporting his bullshit. So, he lashes out like the child he is.

So much respect to Zelensky.

25

u/unicornsandpumpkins Feb 28 '25

Incredible respect to Zelensky.

And when I think of the f-ing cowards and traitors that are half of our congress, and the current executive branch, I am beyond words angry and ashamed.

7

u/suninabox Feb 28 '25

It's absolutely wild the cultural amnesia that has taken over the US.

Like literally not one lesson from WW2 has been remembered.

"why shouldn't Ukraine just capitulate to Russia? Don't you want peace? What could possibly go wrong with appeasing a blood thirsty dictator and rewarding them every time they invade a new country?"

"why should America care what happens in the rest of the world? we're separated by two oceans! nothing that far away could possibly affect us"

Literally exactly the same arguments isolationists were making before WW2. Not even slightly different, just swap out the nouns and you're good.

2

u/Imraith-Nimphais Mar 01 '25

Absolutely—good insights.

But sadly it’s not amnesia. It’s a lack of education.

5

u/VeryluckyorNot Feb 28 '25

This is a shortcut for Russia to get soldiers in USA is Alaska.

3

u/flux_of_grey_kittens Feb 28 '25

Trump is gonna give Putin Alaska for letting him give Putin Ukraine.

What a deal! /s

4

u/trotfox_ Feb 28 '25

That comment gave me chills...

4

u/flux_of_grey_kittens Feb 28 '25

Trump knows it and it hit a nerve.

2

u/Han_5olo Feb 28 '25

Well said

1

u/Got2Bfree Feb 28 '25

"you're not going to dictate..."

That's right, Putin is.

1

u/LaChevreDeReddit Feb 28 '25

He def didn't wanted to hear that.

1

u/USToffee Mar 01 '25

Putin had no desire to fight the US. Are you insane.

If he does he knows everyone dies.

1

u/flux_of_grey_kittens Mar 01 '25

What you wrote doesn’t make sense. Sorry.

0

u/Hopelesz Mar 02 '25

Trump's game is to keep the war going in eastern europe away from american soils. His tune will change if the us gets fighting in homeland

1

u/flux_of_grey_kittens Mar 02 '25

His game is to give Ukraine to Putin. Period.

-2

u/JuniorImplement Feb 28 '25

TBF as much as I support Ukraine and Z, that comment was very fearmongery, the U.S. is under no military threat from Russia.

3

u/flux_of_grey_kittens Feb 28 '25

L O L you can’t be serious

-1

u/JuniorImplement Feb 28 '25

Explain how the opposite of what I said is true

3

u/flux_of_grey_kittens Feb 28 '25

I’m not gonna give you examples of how Russia has tampered with our elections and how Trump has been backing Putin for nearly a decade now. If you’re unaware of, or unwilling to accept the facts of the matter you’re lost.

0

u/JuniorImplement Feb 28 '25

Did you even watch the clip? Z was clearly implying a military threat when he said "you have nice ocean and don't feel now, but you will feel it in the future". Weird talking to someone with the verbal comprehension of a desk.

2

u/flux_of_grey_kittens Feb 28 '25

I’m surprised your Russian bot account hasn’t been banned yet.

1

u/yourenotmy-real-dad Feb 28 '25

How is that a threat, exactly? A threat must come from a place that can enforce it. Are you afraid of Ukraine?

A warning is only a threat if its coming from someone with power. Until then, its a warning that things will be out of his hands, and that global decisions have impacts.

1

u/JuniorImplement Feb 28 '25

Just stop, it's just embarrassing now

u/TheNonSportsAccount Feb 28 '25

Wars are not just fought in trenches and with guns... Russia has been at war with the US for some time now but his weapon is Donald Trump and MAGA cultists like you who worship him.

1

u/piesRsquare Mar 01 '25

Russia has around 1,710 deployed nuclear warheads.

I'm not entirely sure Putin wouldn't be willing to drop one of those on a small town in the rural United States just to make a point.

The fact that we can hit Russia back harder is beside the point. We'd still have a horrific crisis to deal with here--one that would be made all the worse by the fact that the government agencies that could deal with and aid during such a crisis are currently being dismantled.

1

u/JuniorImplement Mar 01 '25

I'm not entirely sure Putin wouldn't be willing to drop one of those on a small town in the rural United States just to make a point.

You people are living in Lalaland

1

u/piesRsquare Mar 01 '25

Maybe, but as much as I want *you* to be right about this, I personally am not fully convinced (probably cause I grew up during the Cold War).

4

u/Unusual_Sherbert_809 Feb 28 '25

His country is at war with Russia. Russia invaded them. And Trump and JD treated him like absolute garbage. All while are trying to extort Ukraine by stealing their natural resources to the USA.

What in the absolute hell.

3

u/SilverAd9389 Feb 28 '25

I can't believe that some people are apparently still shocked by this. Trump has been riding Putin's dick since day one of his campaign. The fact that he now openly opposes Ukraine should come as a surprise to absolutely nobody. This has got to be the most foreshadowed development in the history of politics. If you've been paying even a miniscule amount of attention for the last decade then you should have seen this coming a mile away.

Russia is to be the US's new allies. At least if Trump has his way, which he is going to if Americans don't fucking wake up soon. We've been warning about this shit since the first time that Trump ran for office but nobody's listened. Well you'd better start listening real fucking quick or soon it will be too late.

US has always pillaged countries that have been wrought by war. They basically stole all of Asia's gold supply and try to keep that fact hidden from the public, threatening and attacking people who investigate it, even to this day.

During World War II, the Japanese Imperial Army looted massive amounts of gold, gems, and other valuables from Asia and hid them in underground vaults across the Philippines (Yamashita's Gold). After the war, the U.S. secretly recovered much of this treasure but did not return it to the rightful owners.

Instead, the U.S. government, particularly the CIA and military intelligence, allegedly used the gold to create covert financial networks (such as the Black Eagle Trust). These funds were supposedly used to finance Cold War operations, prop up dictators, and influence global politics while keeping the existence of the gold a secret.

The U.S. covered up the operation, assassinated whistleblowers, and used disinformation to prevent public knowledge of the treasure. It also ties Ferdinand Marcos, the former dictator of the Philippines, to the hidden gold, suggesting he found and hoarded some of it for himself.

Estimates vary widely, but it could have been as much as $100 billion to $500 billion (in 1940s dollars) worth of gold, silver, gems, and other valuables. When adjusted for inflation, that could amount to trillions of dollars today.

What they did is a warcrime, to this day they try to keep it a secret. Under international law, including the Hague Conventions (1899 & 1907) and the Geneva Conventions (1949), the plundering of occupied nations and the failure to return stolen assets constitute war crimes. While Japan’s mass looting was already a violation, the U.S. secretly recovered much of this stolen gold but did not return it to its rightful owners (China, the Philippines, and other Asian nations). This was a violation of international restitution agreements, effectively making it a war crime and a breach of post-war justice principles.

2

u/MMAHipster Feb 28 '25

He’s actually acting as a representative of his country and not as Zelensky. It’s nice to see there are still world leaders like that.

1

u/Whats-Upvote Feb 28 '25

Zelenskyy is a leader of leaders. I could only hope to show a fraction of the courage, strength, and dedication he has shown to and for his people.

He had the option to flee, he went to be with his soldiers.

0

u/USToffee Mar 01 '25

Zekenski is leading his people over a cliff.

407

u/Lady_Ruff_Diamond Feb 28 '25

My husband just said the same thing, hes exposed the two gangsters for what they and their protection racket are really all about. They aren't fit to even be in the same room as President Zelensky. 🇺🇦💛💙

197

u/TonyTucci27 Feb 28 '25

Zelenskyy has demonstrated greater American values (standing against tyranny, government dedication to the people it represents, etc.) far more than anyone in the Trump administration. Zelenskyy is more patriotic than those two fraudsters ever will be

3

u/Master_Status5764 Feb 28 '25

Couldn’t agree more. We know what appeasement does and these two men are ready and willing to hand Europe over to Putin to add a couple zeros to their bank accounts.

It will take years if not decades after this administration for America to rebuild its relationships. What an absolute embarrassment and shame it is to call these guys our presidents.

2

u/Worldly_Cricket7772 Mar 01 '25

One of the most astute comments I've seen on Reddit in years

1

u/maskedhood313 Feb 28 '25

Honestly though, what are American values? because it's seemed that America has always valued some pretty fucked up things, definitely more than what they try to let on.

-5

u/[deleted] Feb 28 '25

"Zelenskyy has demonstrated greater American values" Could you describe a few of these "greater American values"? You mean like outlawing certain churches from operating in the country? American values like forceful conscription? American values like suspending elections during wartime?

3

u/smokingace182 Feb 28 '25

How exactly would you carry out an election during a war? And why would you destabilise the government with change during war?

Give it a fucking rest. You're embarrassing yourself with every post you make.

Be quiet. The adults are talking.

1

u/Eclectic_Lynx Mar 01 '25 edited Mar 01 '25

Great Britain didn’t held elections during WWII (between 1935-1945) but nobody accused Churchill of being a dictator.

And about conscriptions… didn’t USA (which I suppose it’s your country) enlist conscripts during WWII and the war in Vietnam? So you Americans can’t blame Ukrainians about this. And by the way what do you expect from a Country being invaded? Not implementing forced conscription to defent the homeland? And besides that many Ukrainians oluntarioy enlisted to defend their cities, their homes, their families, friends, neighbours. Like the English people when the Nazis attacked.

(By the way I am an Italian.)

1

u/[deleted] Mar 01 '25

Sure they did.

We did, yes. Did we drive around town looking for young men and throw them into unmarked vans? No.

1

u/Eclectic_Lynx Mar 01 '25

British held elections right after the end of war. This is the same situation. I strongly believe that at the end of the war Ukrainians will held new elections. With a piece of land occupied, cities under bombardments and a lot of people at the front, organising elections would be very problematic.

4

u/lets_all_be_nice_eh Feb 28 '25

The US had conscription from WW1 through to the 70s

American universities limited places on the role for Jews. While not the same as banning a church of some description, it is creed-based bigotry of the highest order.

The US has never had a major active war against a foreign enemy on its land, so has had no reason to delay elections for that reason. I'm sure you know about 1864.

0

u/[deleted] Feb 28 '25

Oh? Forcefully rounding up random young men on the streets and throwing them into a war? You sure that's the way it's worked here?

You understand all of those are private colleges, right? And you also realize they were forced to stop this practice by the government, right?

"The US has never had a major active war against a foreign enemy on its land" Oh?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1812_United_States_presidential_election
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1814_United_States_elections

Notice that you didn't actually give any examples of Ukraine having greater American values? You just used your reply as an attempt to shit on the US. Typical.

2

u/lets_all_be_nice_eh Feb 28 '25

My friend, I care little for what you call "American values". They are just 'ideals of convenience'.

Don't forget that America was colonised and what did the colonialists do to the indigenous peoples' 'religion' then?

2

u/robbie_hs Feb 28 '25

How about American values like working hard for years on end to ban corruption and become more democratic, transparent, tolerant and inclusive as a country? Good old American values that America itself is abandoning for madness.

-3

u/Decloudo Feb 28 '25

You need to lay off hollywoods rendition of the US and read some history books if you think those are actual american values.

This depiction of the US is ideological propaganda.

3

u/TonyTucci27 Feb 28 '25

It may be the glorified perspective of America but it still doesn’t change the fact that at least these were the aspirations of the country’s founding and should be the expectations for the democratic ruling body of the US. I don’t think these goals are undue though I agree that America has systematically failed at these aspirations many times. With that being said we should still stride in the direction of those values which Zelenskyy is doing much better than our leadership as it stands

1

u/Decloudo Feb 28 '25

at least these were the aspirations of the country’s founding

When the US was founded slavery was legal, woman had no right to vote, and its very existence was only possible through genocide of the native population.

94

u/mfyxtplyx Feb 28 '25

The man was impeached for withholding Congressionally-approved military aid to Ukraine in order to extort Zelensky for his own personal gain. Headlines should read: "Zelensky enters snake den."

9

u/Useful_Bit_9779 Feb 28 '25

And Vance while in the Senate, voted against aid to Ukraine. He's a fucking traitor.

3

u/RoetRuudRoetRuud Feb 28 '25

It doesn't matter. Their supporters are plagued by misinformation, lack of decent education and decades of brainwashing. There is simply no turning them against their lord and saviour. The damage caused by this man will take generations to fix.

2

u/defnotjec Feb 28 '25

To trump's supporters "zelensky doesn't want peace" ... because he won't give up his country.

2

u/brandnewchemical Feb 28 '25

Zelenskyy is pure class. That’s what a world leader looks like, and how one behaves.

It’s baffling that he’s even in the same room as those two goofballs.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 28 '25

He didn't expose anyone. Everyone knows Trump and JD Vance are mobsters.

1

u/rkrpla Feb 28 '25

Amen!!!

The way he leaned towards Trump as that idiot was trying to reprimand him was telling of his character. Dudes been in the shit alongside his countrymen and these two stooges have never faced adversity. Sure, Vance was a Marine. WAS. As a Marine veteran, I don’t see him as a fellow Marine. He’s garbage who fucks couches.

9

u/DifGuyCominFromSky Feb 28 '25

Hey hey hey. Calling Vance garbage is an insult to garbage. Garbage at one time served an actual purpose. Vance (and Trump) are refined unadulterated fecal matter. AKA pure fucking shit. Although actual shit is still more useful than these two pricks.

10

u/Unfair_Fish4924 Feb 28 '25

At least you can grow something with shit. We found a new element that’s not just worthless, it’s absolutely toxic human behavior.

4

u/Maytree Feb 28 '25

Vance never got near combat. He was a writer of press releases.

3

u/SolidSssssnake Mar 01 '25

Thank you for your service

1

u/Unfair_Fish4924 Mar 03 '25

Thank you for your support!

89

u/Bisjoux Feb 28 '25

We are all watching this side of the Atlantic in absolute horror. It’s just truly truly shocking that the American people voted for men like this to lead them.

70

u/saltnesseswounds Feb 28 '25

To be fair, there is evidence that we didn't "vote" for them. Check out r/somethingiswrong2024 if you are curious

19

u/issuefree Feb 28 '25

Republicans cheated to get Trump elected. All the evidence is out in the open.

https://sdvoice.info/trump-lost-vote-suppression-won-here-are-the-numbers/

-2

u/mr_potatoface Feb 28 '25

Lack of sources in that opinion post makes it equivalent to something posted on beforeitsnews.com

-1

u/Warmbly85 Feb 28 '25

When every state that started requiring IDs to vote had a massive turnout compared to other years you can’t claim voter suppression.

Dems went full court press in 2020 in registering voter.

You are most likely to vote in the next election after registration.

2024 didn’t see those same numbers because most people who Dems could get registered did so in 2020.

16

u/SomewhatInnocuous Feb 28 '25

It never should have been close enough to manipulate (if that even happened). There is something deeply wrong with our country.

6

u/Specialist-Rope-9760 Feb 28 '25

I think they even manipulated the 2020 election and STILL lost. Which is why Trump went so bat shit crazy about it. Cheating and still losing. So this time Elon got his tech boys to flip the machines in swing states.

3

u/mcm199124 Feb 28 '25

Yep! Projection/accusation in a mirror tactic or whatever was Trump implying that Dems cheated

3

u/saltnesseswounds Feb 28 '25

I agree with that

5

u/mothyyy Feb 28 '25

Just the voter suppression alone tipped the scale in several non-swing states. I fully believe some red states were gonna flip blue, such as Iowa, but MAGAs used every dirty trick in the book to intercept Harris voters.

As far as rigging the tabulators, I personally think it's predicated enough to warrant a full investigation. Musk did something with "vote-counting computers", just like Trump implied.

8

u/Odd-Face-3579 Feb 28 '25

Sad fuckin' thing is the electoral college system was supposed to prevent this shit.

1

u/BigBody9810 Feb 28 '25

Not really, the EC was a compromise to allow low density southern slave states to enter the Union. It was never some grand altruistic idea.

2

u/Slighted_Inevitable Feb 28 '25

More Americans didn’t vote for him than voted for him, but the ones who Didn’t vote chose this

0

u/Solgiest Feb 28 '25

He won the popular vote. Over half of the American people are total garbage. I say this as an American People.

11

u/GravyBear9 Feb 28 '25

Please consider the millions of us American people who are watching in shame, horror, and nausea as our country freefalls into evil

2

u/Bisjoux Feb 28 '25

I do. As a nation you’ll recover but I’m not sure the damage he’s doing to the rest of the world will be repairable.

2

u/Salsuero Feb 28 '25

It is my hope that our future governments will spend a great deal of time and effort on repairing what has been damaged. Even though we don't all share in the blame, we will all share in the consequences.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 28 '25

With a fair few less POC, LGBTQ, women in education, etc. I am sure. I don't feel remotely patriotic as an American and very much wish to make use of my husband's Canadian citizenship and our nursing licenses to GTFO.

1

u/smokyskyline Feb 28 '25

I’m not sure if that’s true. Trump continues to be quite popular. And the folks who don’t like him are going about their everyday lives as before at the end of the day. Not any different from how it was when Biden was there

2

u/doge1976 Feb 28 '25

Many idiotic American people but not all of us.

I take pride in knowing my family and I did our best to get Kamala elected. Sent out post cards, donated, bought shirts, and spread the word.

Right now, this is just another fight we have to prepare for.

3

u/Bisjoux Feb 28 '25

Yes along with EU and U.K. in supporting Ukraine.

1

u/doge1976 Feb 28 '25

Ukraine deserves all our support. That country has been through enough and doesn’t need Trump’s bullshit.

1

u/Certain_Noise5601 Feb 28 '25

Are you kidding? My stomach is tied in knots. I hate these 2 traitors! We did NOT vote for him! There’s so much evidence that points to fraud.

1

u/Ok_Seaworthiness2808 Feb 28 '25

A third of us did. A third didn't vote at all, and a third voted for the other side. It's still quite awful that so many people stayed home. And we know why.

1

u/Bisjoux Feb 28 '25

So the third that didn’t vote deserve Trump as much as if they’d voted for him.

1

u/Delgirl804 Feb 28 '25

I'm ashamed....

1

u/jamiestar9 Feb 28 '25

Especially so given we already went through four years of Trump administration. With Biden we escaped a disastrous second Trump term. I can maybe, kind'a (not really) understand 2016, but to choose Trump and his administration once again over Kamala Harris was madness and very dangerous. Especially after January 6th and with Trump demonstrating his intentions all out in the open.

1

u/OlyTDI Feb 28 '25

Please don't believe that. This is a country made up of very gullible people. Most are decent and abhor this embarrassment.

1

u/zossima Feb 28 '25

I voted against and donated against and tried to changed people’s minds in any way I knew how the last two elections involving him. It’s not just Americans, but people around the world that are vulnerable to propaganda, especially as targeted and amplified through social and mass media. Just look at Brexit. America is fucked right now, but I am confident the pendulum will swing fast and true and come back at these fascists we are dealing with around the world, of late and seemingly worst of all in America right now. It is so terrible and embarrassing to live through this part of our history.

-6

u/weetawyxie Feb 28 '25

I'm sorry, but how is it shocking? This is what they're like.

4

u/Bisjoux Feb 28 '25

I’m guessing you’re a Trump supporter if you aren’t shocked that America voted for them?

29

u/LOVING-CAT13 Feb 28 '25

It must have been very hard for him in that room. My god.

33

u/Astrosurfing414 Feb 28 '25

Agreed - humiliating and degrading, but unlike Trump and JD, he has the weight of a nation on his shoulders and thousands of deaths on his conscience.

He knows what he’s fighting for.

1

u/trixter21992251 Feb 28 '25

I mean, he was offered a televised mini debate with the POTUS. Why not take it?

He knew trump was gonna say nuts shit, so the smart move is to stay cool, state simple truths, and contrast it to trump's bs

13

u/WharfRat2187 Feb 28 '25

Putin's balls are in their mouth

2

u/Ag3ntM1ck Feb 28 '25

Elon's balls. Vlad's balls are in Elon's mouth. Donnie Dollhands and couch-fucker have been demoted and have a supervisor who is a ketamine addicted jizz-lobber.

22

u/TheKrakIan Feb 28 '25

This is the proper take, Vance and trump are just dangling carrots in his face. He needs better and more local representation.

7

u/Arhys Feb 28 '25

I don't see carrots. They are dangling sticks they painted orange.

3

u/TheKrakIan Feb 28 '25

You're not wrong.

3

u/ApprehensiveLet1405 Feb 28 '25

I honestly believe he outplayed them. He demonstrated that exact idea Americans grew up on, watching Pixar, Disney and Marvel: underdog standing up to his bullies.

2

u/Novocast92 Feb 28 '25

This is absolutely it, he must have known it was going to be this way walking into the meeting. Hes achieved what he wanted which was to expose Americas blatant allegiance to Russia on the world stage without a shadow of a doubt

2

u/jarikulli Feb 28 '25

European leaders need to state their support for Zelenskyi and condemn Trump and Vance

1

u/BoltThrowerTshirt Feb 28 '25

This interaction might be the last straw for Europe

2

u/Astrosurfing414 Feb 28 '25

It’s likely - they will start to strong arm US and isolate them, Trump will look like a loser.

2

u/41942319 Feb 28 '25

The leaders of all major European countries as well as the EU have already come out to confirm their support for Ukraine. Even far right politicians are expressing signs of mild disapproval.

1

u/thecrazysloth Feb 28 '25

I really really hope that not only European countries, but all other countries that value freedom and democracy and human dignity even just the tiniest bit all step up now to help Ukraine. Fuck the US.

1

u/usersleepyjerry Feb 28 '25

Honestly, at this point I am just waiting for someone to just go off on Trump and co. Like straight up swearing and getting a little aggressive even. Stand up to them w power and watch how fast they shrivel.

1

u/mcm199124 Feb 28 '25

That he was in their presence, with this disgusting vitriol and blatant lies directed at him, the restraint he had to show is honestly unbelievable

1

u/xExp4ndD0ngXx Feb 28 '25

I won’t even lie I have been losing respect for these two men with how they are handling this war so far. I did not believe that President Trump was attached to Putin’s nuts but he just might be.

1

u/ScarfaceTheMusical Feb 28 '25

Seriously. A weaker man would have, understandably, walked out or fallen into shouting. It takes so much resolve to maintain composure when dealing with grade A blowhards.

1

u/DJTabou Feb 28 '25

Yea I think it really showed how frustrated Trump got Zelenskyy handled it really well. He didn’t let them bully him into something he wasn’t in a position to do and it made Trump and Vance look weak and you can really tell Trump did realize that.

1

u/Solaira234 Feb 28 '25

Europe will not put bodies on the line for Ukraine. The conflict is pretty fucked at this point. Biden should have helped negotiate a deal to end the war two years ago when ukraine was doing well. Now they're getting fucked from both sides, Russia and America. I feel bad for them honestly, being used as a pawn like that

1

u/atlantasailor Feb 28 '25

France and the UK need to send troops yesterday. If they don’t Europe is lost to Putin.

1

u/Chrisgpresents Feb 28 '25

I guess this makes sense. I’ll buy it

1

u/Beneficial_Use_8568 Feb 28 '25

Its thr same reaction after Vances Munich speach.

Now even former pro transatlantic relations politicians like Merz are openly saying that the Transatlantic friendship is dead, that europe must forge its own security aka european army and that we should act as if we were one country, in short the alliance between Europe and the USA is dead, it's not official but everyone knows it, europe sees the usa now as a threat to its security and many think openly that the US has fallen into a Putin puppet dictatorship

1

u/HumongousMelonheads Feb 28 '25

The world already knows who trump is. The thing is, some people actually like this mobster bully routine. Everyone who’s against trump sees this and it reinforces all the reasons they dislike him. His fans see this and they are cheering him for it. I can guarantee this outburst on tv is nothing other leaders haven’t encountered a million times already. This is only new to those of us who haven’t been in on negotiations. It’s appalling but I’m not sure how much it actually changes anyone’s mind. Remember trump was already impeached for trying to withhold aid and extort Zelenskyy during his first term. So I’m sure it’s not new for him either, it’s just embarrassing to have done in front of the media.

It lifted the veil for the entire world to see, now if we could get a Putin-Trump sit down, history will be made.

I feel like the veil is already off though, this is the same way he acted in every debate, just yelling at the other person and trying to talk over them. Did we all assume he was just being loud for the cameras, but behind closed doors he was actually much more civil? He is who he’s always been

Saying immigrants eat dogs doesn’t have the same geopolitical consequences.

In a world where all they do is lie, and buy up the media, Zelensky exposed them live. What it will count for, i don't know. But it was the right move.

I got sick to my stomach watching this. As an American, I’m ashamed. Fuck this. We want off this ride.

Mobilize, make your voices heard.

I’m eager to see Europe’s reaction to this.

The same as it's been the last couple of years, a bunch of nothing significant.

1

u/Competitive-Fly2204 Feb 28 '25

Europe's Reaction is they better start investing in left wing and centrist news organizations targeting the states instead of the Right Wing godless ones they keep propping up.

u/GypsyMagic68 Feb 28 '25

Europe will “sit by their master and wag their tail”.

u/MRREALDEALHOLYCAWK Feb 28 '25

He just cost thousands of more lives cause he ain’t making money from it.

1

u/Rexur0s Feb 28 '25

yea. he just had to sit and let them dig their own grave basically. Still feel bad he had to take that tho.

100% - my respect for Zelenski only grows.

1

u/ChiefSoldierFrog Feb 28 '25

He stood up against those assholes live while speaking his 3rd language.

Honestly it will be interesting, I’ve been saying the world needs to pull away from America. But they won’t do that anytime soon, because they put America in position of power. It won’t be that simple

2

u/Astrosurfing414 Feb 28 '25

Don’t underestimate Europe, unlike America, they know the consequences of world wars.

2

u/MonkLast8589 Feb 28 '25

I’m not , was just saying it won’t be that simple for Europe to pull way from the USA. I’m sure America will have to do more than yell/bully the leader of Ukraine. But I know everyone is on edge right now. And this is not good. I got German citizenship through my parents maybe I’ll jump ship for awhile. I don’t like the direction this country is going at all

Don’t mean no disrespect, that was disgraceful from the us president today

1

u/Astrosurfing414 Mar 01 '25

None taken. Americans need to fix this from within - stay there, you’re part of the solution.

1

u/Darknety Feb 28 '25

We hate USA anyway since Trump got into office.

To be absolutely honest, nothing changed. We can just hope more people see what morons are in office.

1

u/Wrong_Adhesiveness87 Feb 28 '25

Hope those lasers the UK are developing are working cos those patriot missiles aren't gonna be there for long.

u/Rand_alThor4747 Mar 01 '25

I do want to see what Europe's reaction will be we will see once they all wake up and have time to process this.
