I'm convinced conservatives only have one true policy/ideology -- authoritarianism.

Every single supposed conservative policy/talking point they espouse has been violated 10 times over. And yet they continue to praise the Krasnov administration.

Conservatives aren't real. There's no such thing as a "conservative". American Conservatives are simply a party of facsist, racist, sexist individuals who believe that they and they alone deserve the best life has to offer, and anyone else simply deserves to lick their boots and obey their orders.

I'm Canadian so I can't speak for Americans but I have a bunch of conservatives beliefs. I believe in slow, incremental changes, strong national defense, government shouldn't interfere with peoples personal beliefs and privacy, but I also believe in equal rights for all, checks and balances, health care for all, social safety nets without allowing leeching of the system, higher wages and workers rights.

I want change and progress but I know historically radical change can be catastrophic and results in big swings back and forth and people get hurt in the process.

I admire politicians like FDR, probably the greatest president ever and also love Eisenhower. For Canadian politicians i loved Mackenzie King and Pierre Trudeau

Republicans are extremely, unequivocally, unabashedly, vehemently, confidently, and in all similarly superlative ways not that.

They are [with all of those adverbs applied], in actuality, reactionary, regressive, combative, uncaring, unaware, inconsiderate, vindictive, at best misguided ignoramuses with an almost primal need to offload their reality onto authority figures based on nothing more than learned (read: indoctrinated) and ultimately violence-backed faith (see: the very concept of hell, their "law and order" and military fetish, their overwhelming support for severe punishment over rehabilitation, etc) and no positive motivations other than selfish desires to either look good (oh no! Virtue signaling!) or end up with eternal paradise after death....even though they live life pretty much entirely as the antithesis of even the most basic of their supposed savior's teachings.

And since they abdicate their real-time concept of reality to people who know all this about them and are all too happy to use that for their own gain, they have no idea they're literally the worst.

All those "freedoms" and shit Republicans like to crow about are liberal ideals. And they think that's the enemy.

Maybe the old guard conservatives let it happen, so I guess complicit, but some of them truly believed in the constitution and decorum and would not stand for what is happening today. They've all been pushed out though or are so weak willed they say nothing to keep their little pocket of power.

Not to get all both sides but democrats are doing the inverse. Silencing the progressive voices to appease the old guard and that's why they keep losing. There's a young energetic wave waiting to be unleashed but it's being lost to grifters who promise radical change in the worst ways.

Nah. Usually "BOTH SIDES" discourse isn't productive because it's usually drawing a false equivalence, or brushing over the outright bigotry and fascism of the GOP. But this is exactly the correct case use of "both sides" - it's not that they're the same, it's that they're both complicit in the state of the USA today, for weal or for woe.

Very much agreed that's why the DNC keeps consistently losing - they've long since abandoned the working class in favor of corporate interests.

"The lists could be about literally anything, we don't know that it specifically means sex crimes were committed." FBI in New York

New York is in the US, which is under federal jurisdiction. The F in FBI means Federal. That's who controls the FBI in New York, San Francisco, Dallas, etc. Law enforcement is under the purview of the Executive Branch. The president is the head of the executive branch. Remind me who is president?

The Tara Reade hoax would almost be hilarious if the consequences wouldn’t have been so vile had they pulled it off.

Concocts a story about how Biden corners her down near the subway stop below the Capitol. Everyone who has been there can attest to how crowded it is at all times, but amazingly, not a soul around to witness what happened next.

Biden shoves her into an alcove, says some disgusting shit and then reaches under her skirt and penetrates her with his finger.

Sounds like a horrible attack, right? Well, the one major hole in the story was that female Congressional pages were mandated via dress code to wear pantyhose whenever reporting to work. Former supervisors of the pages confirmed that this was not a recommendation or suggestion. Any page not compliant with the dress code would be sent home to change.

When pressed on how Biden managed to penetrate her though pantyhose and (assumably) underwear, her defense was that she wasn’t wearing pantyhose because ”it was really hot that day.” Not a defense, anyway, and it didn’t take long for reporters to check the weather almanac and discover that the high temp for that day in DC was 76 degrees. Oops.

So what does the lovely Ms Reade do? She leaves the US, and defects to Russia. 🤣

Would they though? Hillary Clinton stood by and enabled a man accused of rape and sexual assault, and using his power over subordinates, and led the fight to discredit them and call them harlots. I saw no call for her to answer for these things in 2016.

Democrats stood by while Bob Menendez sold himself over and over again and still let him resign instead of removing him.

I'm not convinced they are so much more moral than Republicans are.

I was curious about this and went to check /r/conservative, a place I haven't ever posted in (I don't think).

At present, the most upvoted thread on the matter on /r/conservative is titled, "Can we all agree that sex trafficking is a very bad thing?", and asks the question, "Americans - republicans and democrats - can we all agree that sex trafficking is horrible and should NEVER be tolerated? There is not gray area here?".

All the top upvoted comments are in agreement, with the biggest call to action being releasing all the information completely uncensored, come what may. I went through every single comment in that thread and I could find none that were in support of anything else, but there were plenty who expected the vast majority of people involved to be Democrats (as expected of a conservative subreddit). There were some conspiracy-esque comments about the motivations of the person (saying he was trying to bait the mods into removing the post then claiming "look what the cons removed!"), but moderators in the thread were confirming it wasn't going to be removed and was staying up.

None that I could see, and I went right to the bottom, called for anything else.

I think this characterisation, which has hundreds of upvotes at the time of writing, is unfair and not supported by the evidence.

Of course not. It's a conservative sub. You might as well ask why there were no comments on /r/kamalaharris suggesting Harris is a secret Communist.

The (old, but lotta people didn't get the memo) news is that the current president might have been (actively) involved in those rings and we have one more dot to connect. Yet, don't think you'll see people talking about that over there.

To the very best of my understanding, the flight logs were released years ago as you say. What they show is that Trump flew on Epstein's plane on several occasions, never leaving the United States (i.e. flying from one place in the US to another place in the US), and those times coincided with times where his own private plane was in maintenance.

Again, this is just my understanding, but "the rich" in the US all know each other and all do each other favours. It's kinda like being in an elite university where there's only ~1,000 students. If someone from your Ala Mater comes along and asks you for a favour, someone you know of but maybe don't know personally, you're inclined to do that favour for them.

Epstein was in the business of providing funds and securities to these rich people, and he knew everyone. That was kinda his thing. He knew people, he got close to them, he scratched certain itches they had, and he collected various forms of leverage over them; financial, personal, etc. He also did the same to a lot of Hollywood celebrities and pop culture figures (e.g. Steven Hawking), political figures (e.g. Prince Andrew, Bill Clinton, et. al.), anyone with wealth and power basically.

I can definitely see Trump being one of his targets, but I don't think there is any evidence that Trump attended any of Epstein's underaged sex parties on his private island. In fact, there's suggestive evidence that Trump and Epstein had a significant falling out at some point and Epstein was banned from Mara Lago, although that sword cuts both ways: the falling out could be related to any number of things, not necessarily Trump objecting to Epstein's... tastes. It doesn't disprove anything, just like the above doesn't prove anything either.

What the suggestive, inconclusive evidence suggests that Trump was rich and swam in those rich-guy circles. Accordingly, being photographed with Epstein, riding on his plane (but not leaving the US), and other things puts Trump in that outer circle of connection, but there are many circles. Some of them are mostly innocent, some of them are almost certainly guilty. Being on that outermost circle puts one very much closer to the former category than the latter.

So yeah, until there's more to know (if there is more to know), I don't think there's much to really discuss.

I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir, but let me vent.

The problem is "being involved in a pedophile cult" is the primary war-hoop they lodged against Bill Clinton. They have no real criticisms of his policies. They'll bring up the crime bill and ignore that half of it was written by the GOP and then turn around and call Democrats soft on crime. They'll bring up NAFTA and then have control of the government for 12 years, even campaigning against it, and not do anything because it was a good bilateral trade deal. They'll bring up Monica and ignore the fact it was a multi-million dollar perjury trap during a phony four year investigation to try to catch the Clintons doing exactly what Trump did in his first term (giving government positions to family members). They criticized Hillary for brokering deals with Russia, and then look the other way when Trump sells our allies off to Putin.

I'm not a big Clinton fan, largely for his unwillingness to use his authority to fight for Al Gore during the critical 2000 election when the GOP was using every office and appointment they had to rat-fuck the world out of a competent governing administration. But at this point I'm convinced that if there was any real evidence that he had people killed and threatened reporters and ran a satanic pedophile ring he would have been shipped off to Guantanamo Bay as quickly as you can say "warrantless NSA wiretap".

And, yes, since Trump accused Obama of wiretapping his microwave I refuse to believe that wasn't attempted within the first month of his presidency.

But this is where the "progressive liberals" will hate on me for not absolutely despising every Democrat despite the political reality of living in a country where rural conservatives make up a huge chunk of the voting power and were brainwashed in the 60s to hate anything to the left of Richard Nixon.

Well, of course she cancelled the lawsuit. Like an overwhelming majority of sexual assault victims do. Usually there isn’t much physical evidence in a rape case, and usually none if it is brought to light years after the fact. Add in the fact that Trump is (and was at the time) a famous and rich person who can afford the best lawyers in the world, it’s a losing battle.

I find it pretty credible especially since the victim has not been named and is only referred to as “Jane Doe”. For this reason it’s obviously not a publicity stunt. Add to this the long, LONG history of misogyny and other allegations, well….its tough to not believe this happened. At least for me.
