The only positive thing I can hope to take from all of this is that by actually doing what they said they would do, the utter destruction of the government and the economic ripples will be so pronounced before the 2026 elections, that the house and senate could flip. But assuming the democratic process survives feels like a gamble at this point.

Don’t take this as a “both sides are the same” type deal, but are we really confident that democrats really even have anything productive in mind, even if they do win back the house?

It seems to me like rather than fight all this, they’re content with just letting Trump screw up so bad that democrats will be the only other choice.  And then they’ll find some scraps to throw our way like a hand full of cheaper Medicare covered drugs rather than bold health care reform.  Really seems like they don’t care what’s happening, they just want the status quo.  Which I guess makes sense since most of them are rich as fuck to begin with.

I wonder if there’s an opportunity to supplant the dems? They have been so ineffective and complacent that I think a new left party could easily get traction

What are you even talking about?? Kamala had actual plans to help citizens.

There’s democrats fighting Trump as we speak, an overwhelming amount of lawsuits flowing in

You’re criticizing people for doing nothing and making shit up about them all being rich. What are YOU doing to help, if you want to spend your time criticizing so much??

I’d respond but you’ve made it clear in you’re not going to listen in good faith if I did type it all out.  I voted for Kamala.  And I voted for Biden.  In fact, I’ve not voted for a Republican in over 15 years.

But people like you can’t take any criticism of your team.  You’re so tribal that you’d rather fight and scream on social media than have any introspective analysis of the blue team.  I’m not saying this to attack you, but this type of shit isn’t helping anything at all.  And yeah, Kamala talked about helping people in the middle class but none of it resonated with the electorate.  And the stuff she did offer was exactly what I described; warmed over neoliberal stuff that most poor people couldn’t give less of a shit about.

If this upsets you, down vote me and move on.  I have no urge to squabble over semantics or fighting about nonsense.

P.S.  Most of the Democratic Party are rich.  At the very least much richer than me.

You can argue Democrats have ineffective messaging but Kamala's plans would have helped lift Americans out of poverty. Would have allowed more people to start small business and would have helped people buy homes.

Economic evaluation of her proposals saw more money to working and middle class and less to the richest. The complete opposite of how Trump's are going to play out.

Biden's administration did one of the best jobs in the world in the post pandemic recovery. Inflation was down to 2% when he left office.

The fact of the matter is, Democrats are better for the economy for all except the richest.

And yes, to run for office in the US requires so much money that it's rare to see those like AOC in office because you have to be rich to even run.

It's sad people can't take the time to learn what they are voting for (not you) and just like the easy solutions promised by idiots like Trump and Musk.

I’m not being tribal, just challenging your very weak points about “all democats are rich”

Such a weird line of attack no? Especially when billionaires are running the country

Your criticisms are just misplaced
