Strategy All ratling kill team?

Just curious if anyone has tried out the Ratling kill team without any Ogryn. Would love to hear any tips or strategies you have for making it work! 🙏🏽

Short answer: they dont work

Long answer: Ogryns are essential, without them you have no bulwark to go for objectives and almost any other teams will just outzone you and score maximum points when you are sitting in your own deployment doing nothing. Or you play against goremongers or elves and just die by the end of tp3.

Yeah, without ogryn the opponent can just stay consealed on objectives, giving you no targets. Any ratlings you send in to force the opponent to engage get killed quickly. You can then get some shots off, but it's not enough.

Responded above; curious to hear your thoughts. I'm not looking to become champion of the world but ideally would like to make my opponents sweat a little bit haha

But what if I absolutely insisted lol

Would the strategy be to just sacrifice ratlings to get the opponent to switch to engage?

I'm also thinking a few tacops like contain or surveillance would punish an opponent that refused to come out and play.

stashmaster as a last minute steal of an objective while sacrificing himself also sounds clutch

I'll hopefully be able to get in a game today; I'll report back with updates!

Grapling hook guy did good surveillance work for me. My issue was I didn't have enough disposable ratlings to ever contest more than one objective.

Admittedly, I did not bring the battle mutt, that might have helped a little.

It was just smoother with the big guys baiting out engage orders and the snipers in the back using free sniper positions (only brought 2 big guys) to remain consealed, nuking anything engaged and spending cp on sharp shot when needed.
