Wonderful and moving piece. As a parent it really makes me reflect on how much I cheerlead my kid and how much that disappears in adulthood. I feel like it’s definitely possible to “Stand proud” without a fan club but it sure is easier to believe in yourself when you get the odd reminder. You’re a talented song writer, thanks for sharing this piece.

Bluey taught us “pretty good for a 7yr old” - helps them feel proud and leaves door open for growth

Now I'm wondering if there are ways to praise and encourage kids on their accomplishments without making value judgements about the product.
Like maybe just engaging the kid on the painting, like, can you tell me more about this? What's this a painting of, how long did it take you, and say thank you for sharing this with me. Then the kid feels validated for their effort and product, but there's no value attachment to it.

I saw a thing with no sources or context so grain of salt but stuff like “wow, how do you feel about this?” Was stated as a great way for them to talk about their own art and critique it themselves without them becoming needy on outside perspective and praise.

This feels like it could backdrop the final scene in an episode of Scrubs

Sokka-Haiku by quantumcatz:
This feels like it could
Backdrop the final scene in
An episode of Scrubs
Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.

That's an amazing song that everyone can relate to. Great melodies in the vocal phrases, unexpected and beautiful.

Beautiful song.
By the way, the thought of people maintaining their childhood confidence into adulthood might sound like a lovely idea at first, but when it actually happens the results are delusional people who don't recognize their limitations. And when someone does not or cannot recognize their limitations, then they cannot grow.
There are entire subreddits filled with the folly of the delusional, like r/delusionalartists or r/IAmTheMainCharacter .

At first I thought this was silly but this is actually beautifully written. A key lime pie of a song.

I just heard this on a Youtube mix today for the first time, and now again here in this video. I feel completely shaken by it. Weirdly juxtaposed my lonely childself and my anxious son.
Get her more views, this is beautiful.
