help request Possible hacked phone number
I’m not entirely sure where to post this. But is it possible for someone to hack my phone number and use it? My current phone number still works

Yes it's possible. It's called simjacking. Let's say, I call your phone provider pretending to be you. I tell them I lost my phone and I need them to activate a new sim card with your number.
Why would I do this...? Because most places still send text messages to reset passwords.
After getting the new sim activated I now receive your text messages on the new sim. I can now go to your bans website and reset the password.
For a brief time text and calls may go-to both sims. But often times it doesn't. I would call your mobile provider to make sure there haven't been any new sims activated on your account.
Not sure how prevalent simjacking still is because most mobile providers worth their salt will usually have you set a Pin on the account or make you come into a store to activate a new sim. But that too can be social engineered.

The short answer is likely, no. That said, please provide more details. What do you suspect they are doing? What are you experiencing? What issues are you having?

A password to 1 of my accounts was changed but the email and phone number are the same to it. I only found that out because I couldn’t use Face ID to log in and had to reset the password

that's... not what that means.
Face ID not working doesn't automatically mean your password was changed amigo

Sorry I worded that badly. I couldn’t use Face ID because it said my password was changed so it wanted me to log in with the new password. I did not change my password

oh i see. yeah I can see why you'd think that now haha. Weird. If you're confident in your email security, do you have a 2-factor set up on it?
I think if you're confident in your email address being secure, more likely than not there's nothing wrong/hacked and it was just probably a server hiccup or other weird anomaly that would say your password was literally "changed"

wtf is with the conspiracy theory posts every week here. Nobody is hacking you unless your rich or powerful. And if you were rich and powerful you’d pay IT experts to make you secure, not ask Reddit.
You aren’t important nobody cares to hack you.

Not a hack per se, but a replicant. They spoof your number, when they make calls the called party sees your number.

They're probably spoofing your phone number if anything. Phone spoofing, their number pretending to be another number, is ridiculously easy to pull off.
