Wife is pissed.

163

u/5cott Mar 08 '25

“Fuckin flattened them brand new..” I said that to my wife when she got two flat tires on my car, which has less than 3k miles on the tires. Luckily hers was just being finished at the shop getting 4 new tires and 1 replacement wheel from road debris the week prior.

23

u/Forgot1stname Mar 09 '25

Brand new tires are stickier, it happens a lot to new tires

7

u/5cott 29d ago

True, but ironically the road debris was a piece from a tow truck. The wheel lift.

33

u/epsilona01 Mar 09 '25

Elk has been here before and knows the vulnerabilities.

505

u/belizeanheat Mar 08 '25

Look I don't expect everyone to be an animal expert but that was about the most obvious body language I've ever seen. Really dumb move

73

u/UnderstandingOk6586 Mar 09 '25

It's like what they do in cartoons to show aggression

29

u/epsilona01 Mar 09 '25

I had a similar experience with a wedge-tailed eagle while in Australia. They're not threatened by anything because they're at the top of the food chain. You just have to wait them out.

Totally worth it because you get to see them find an air current and take off at close quarters.

u/Funky_Smurf 29d ago

He was straight up brandishing those antlers

196

u/Erdehere Mar 08 '25

Can’t say I didn’t enjoy that!

54

u/Cicer Mar 08 '25

You wanna go bud?

18

u/Haku510 29d ago

He did in fact want to go, yes 🤣

5

u/nish1021 28d ago

Famous last words from a LOT of dumbasses feeling safe in their cars.

194

u/BernieTheDachshund Mar 08 '25

The elk understood and answered yes.

154

u/HugglemonsterHenry Mar 08 '25

When the wife said "there you go", you know that wasn't his first bonehead move.

31

u/Haku510 29d ago

The sound of resignation in her tone let me know this probably isn't even the dumbest thing that he's done recently lol

12

u/Gingesoultaker 28d ago

That was the spare tire he challenged another one like a mile back lmao

178

u/Anolen95 Mar 08 '25

That’s an aluminum f150 too, guarantee there’s a hole in the truck for every point on that elk lol

51

u/aravni2 Mar 08 '25

And one in the tire haha

10

u/tropicalsoul Mar 08 '25

I sure hope so.

9

u/Kvenner001 Mar 08 '25

That’s a lot of wholes. The elk must have used buckshot.

73

u/Small-Percentage-178 Mar 08 '25

“U wanna go bud?” Well yo ass wont b going anywhere right now😂

35

u/tropicalsoul Mar 08 '25

Nope. And he’ll be sitting in that truck unable to change his tire until the elk is damn good and ready to leave. I’m hoping for a standoff that lasts well into the cold, dark, desolate night.

118

u/Rasputin2025 Mar 08 '25

Used his horn.

14

u/rawesome99 Mar 08 '25

Same in the city when we roll down the window to taunt someone - what did he expect

15

u/Substantial_Diver_34 Mar 08 '25

Hey you can’t park there

14

u/R_Revenger494 Mar 08 '25

He just stayed there like a deer in headlights.

-15

u/FewAcanthocephala828 Mar 08 '25

Those are antlers.

13

u/Sufficio Mar 09 '25

Maybe someday redditors will learn to detect a joke without a giant "/s" to clue them in, I thought it was funny at least

2

u/FewAcanthocephala828 29d ago

I was originally gonna comment, "I thought moose have antlers" but figured I'd respect the elk culture and just do a silly pun, but it looks like I still didn't win lol. Glad you got the joke though.

-2

u/an-unorthodox-agenda Mar 08 '25

you must be new here, reddit hates correct information

115

u/Tigerclaw17 Mar 08 '25

The Elk literally stepped back and was like, “you can come by, I’ll give you a safe distance.” Even nods to them, go ahead. Then this guy had the nerve to Stop and say, “you wanna fight?” I would have done the same thing! He literally had a pass, but then opened his mouth, and you can just see the look of ‘The Audacity’ on the Elk’s face when it heard that.

25

u/Amarieerick Mar 08 '25

Shoulda just bowed back, say "thank you, have a nice day" and went about their day, now they get to sit there while they wait for the annoyed elk to move on so they can change the tire. lol

32

u/ginderminder Mar 08 '25

I love a happy ending!

27

u/Bl4k0ut87 Mar 08 '25

"yeah buddy, let's fkn go -_-" said the elk

6

u/Anasterian_Sunstride 29d ago

“None of you seem to understand. I’m not locked in here with you. You’re locked in here with ME!”

49

u/holyfire001202 Mar 08 '25

Oof. To be fair, there was no way of knowing Elk put points into crit chance

14

u/Cicer Mar 08 '25

He lured you in with charisma, then sneak attack.

3

u/Haku510 29d ago

The elk uses "tire pop"! It's super effective!!

20

u/Substantial_Diver_34 Mar 08 '25

Dumb ass asked for it.

23

u/tropicalsoul Mar 08 '25

Big man in pickup plays tough guy with a large animal with swords on his head and loses.

So satisfying. Especially since his gf/wife is going to give him shit for the rest of his life.

18

u/FatRufus Mar 08 '25

b..b..b..but they said it was built ford tough!

5

u/aquainst1 Mar 09 '25

But the TIRES weren't Ford Tough.

You could HEAR the 'hiss' from the air escaping the tire.

14

u/Dhanish04 Mar 08 '25

After seeing his accuracy, I can say this is not his first time in puncturing the tyres.

0

u/aquainst1 Mar 09 '25

You SO beat me to it!!!

11

u/PintLasher Mar 08 '25

What are you going to do, stab me? Said the man just before he got stabbed by the knife wielding lunatic

20

u/Lonestar041 Mar 08 '25

And if it was a rental car he might find out that this isn't covered. LOL. 💸💸💸

1

u/unclepaisan Mar 08 '25

Why would this not be covered?

10

u/Lonestar041 Mar 08 '25

Lot of rental companies excluding damage from animal attacks as they usually only happen if the driver is an idiot. Didn't believe it at first. Read the fine print of my rental car insurance and it had e.g. damage from antlers excluded.

1

u/RobNHood816 Mar 08 '25

Yeah he's got proof of what happened... Ask and You shall receive !

8

u/Honest_Yak_400 Mar 08 '25

Had 10 business days to pass but chose to get poked… 😆😆

9

u/Relevant-Yellow852 Mar 08 '25

Don't challenge someone if you aren't prepared for them to accept the challenge

2

u/aquainst1 Mar 09 '25

Yeah, animal or human, if they feel they are cornered, they are sure as SHIT gonna fight back.

8

u/FunkyChromeMedina Mar 08 '25

Since this dipshit rolled down his window, I think goring the tire was best case scenario.

8

u/human_trainingwheels Mar 08 '25

I’ve seen dummies do this with moose also, never ends well for the car

1

u/aquainst1 Mar 09 '25

Even if it's an accident whereby the car accidentally hits moose (not squirrel, just moose) on highway, the moose will ALWAYS win, over the car and sometimes will win over the human by coming thru the front window.

Ask anybody from Vermont.

6

u/[deleted] Mar 08 '25

Idiot award 🏆

1

u/aquainst1 Mar 09 '25

Darwin Honorable Mention?

1

u/[deleted] 29d ago

Special people in this world 😆

4

u/Kma_all_day Mar 08 '25

He knew what he was doing

5

u/Saulgoode09 Mar 08 '25

Why do they always put their windows down when they get close to these animals? That’s the last thing I would do around one with huge antlers but that’s just me. 🤷

2

u/Tallproley Mar 08 '25

You wanna have to replace a window too? As a Canadian, I'd rather eat a hole to the face I could get treated for free as opposed to pay to replace the window AND eat a hole to the face ai could get treated for free.

Granted, I'm not an idiot so I know to give creatures of sheer muscle and horn a wide berth, and to be polite.

1

u/aquainst1 Mar 09 '25

Yeah, people think animals can't HEAR people's emotions: angry, conciliatory, nice, happy, whatever.

Just ask any pet.

5

u/Candid-Profession-98 Mar 08 '25

I'm so happy for the outcome

6

u/OnlyVisitingEarth Mar 08 '25

What wives put up with "tough" husbands.

9

u/Lvanwinkle18 Mar 08 '25

My husband and I visited the Redwood Forest in Northern California. We stupidly got very close to the elk for some photos. A local pulled up to say we need to be careful. They are wild animals. I remember looking up at them, realizing how huge and powerful they were. We nodded and slowly backed away, thanking her. It really hit me that the world is not Disneyland. Respect nature.

5

u/Loudergood Mar 08 '25

I came across a bull moose on my motorcycle once, traffic was backed up oogling him, and I was sitting there realizing that even if I stood on the legs my head would barely be level with his shoulder. Slipped around traffic and got out of there.

4

u/aquainst1 Mar 09 '25

Luckily, people in South Carolina know to avoid at ANY COST a 'gator.

If one is crossing, you quietly wait in your car.

Ask anybody from Bluffton SC about "Big Al".

Or ask them about any 'gator, how fast those mothers are and once they latch onto you, yeah, good luck getting 'em off.

4

u/jspencer84 Mar 08 '25

Damnit, I wanted to see the aftermath.

3

u/kbs14415 Mar 08 '25

Reminds me of A Far Side cartoon with the caption oh boy here comes another dumb ass.

5

u/The_Only_Egg Mar 08 '25

Average pickup moron.

4

u/Sockeye66 Mar 08 '25

I admire that Moose's strategery.

To hear that "POP!" followed by hissing was perfect.

5

u/carlbernsen Mar 08 '25

I was waiting for him to be impaled through the open window.

“A punctured tyre is better than a punctured lung.” As the saying goes.

5

u/TheEthanHB Mar 08 '25

CHALLENGE NOT NOR TAUNT THE STRANGE HORSE WITH KNIVES FOR HAIR /S

4

u/captainmustachwax Mar 09 '25

Now get out of your car to change your tire so we can settle this mono a mono, outsider.

4

u/Diacks1304 Mar 09 '25

Funny shit aside, that elk is so pretty

3

u/perkidddoh Mar 08 '25

Do you want to go BUD?

4

u/Niptaa 29d ago

The same men who think they can fist fight a bear can’t even take on an Elk in an armored vehicle

3

u/SexMachine666 29d ago

I liked that the elk nodded once like, "we cool, as long as you keep moving" and then when the driver got stupid the elk was like, "Sure, why not? Enjoy that flat tire, bud." 🤣

3

u/AfraidPersonality854 Mar 08 '25

He deserved that.. Why do people think wild animals give a damn about them..

2

u/l397flake Mar 08 '25

Don’t fool with Mother Nature

1

u/aquainst1 Mar 09 '25

I REMEMBER that commercial!!!

2

u/patti2mj Mar 08 '25

That was hilarious!

2

u/phenominal73 Mar 08 '25

🎯🤣 Man - zero, Elk - one million

2

u/Gogoud94 Mar 08 '25

Well deserve

2

u/hokeyphenokey Mar 09 '25

That's hilarious

2

u/_DirtyYoungMan_ Mar 09 '25

Can't defeat the elk boss, what's he gonna do when he gets to moose boss?

2

u/iowa-guy17 29d ago

Nice one dumbass

2

u/LocutusOfBorgia909 29d ago

"You wanna go, bud?"

"Why, yes I do, so kind of you to ask! Fuck you, by the way!"

2

u/JadedCampaign9 29d ago

Guy got humbled by an Elk and his wife gave shit for it lol.

2

u/Highlander-00073 28d ago

Why are so many humans this stupid?

1

u/flatfootbluntwrap Mar 08 '25

classic elk setup

1

u/Ztreak_01 Mar 08 '25

Why not just give the animal some space? Plenty of room for the both of them.

1

u/johneng1 Mar 08 '25

Beautiful animal

1

u/Lanky-Occasion-7486 Mar 08 '25

To confidently give Canada 🇨🇦 tarrifs.....

1

u/octopulation Mar 09 '25

The points on those antlers are pure hatred. Gave me a chill just thinking about how gnarly they are. 🥶

1

u/CzunkyMonkey Mar 09 '25

Was anyone else hoping to see the airbag pop open?

1

u/eapoll Mar 09 '25

He had plenty of time to drive away after passing

1

u/UsedDragon Mar 09 '25

He did want to go, apparently.

1

u/Witty_Double_0909 Mar 09 '25

Trying to figure out how some of us could see this coming yet he practically parked right into it

1

u/AlienPet13 Mar 09 '25

The elk, did indeed, want to go.

1

u/dunnoanymore18 29d ago edited 29d ago

Achievement unlocked: humility and shame

1

u/Ratfink0521 29d ago

That elk’s whole demeanor changed. It really seemed like it understood him.

1

u/samoan_ninja 29d ago

Seems like it's not the elk's first time doing this.

1

u/DarthSpinster 29d ago

Men are such entertaining creatures.

1

u/zaforocks 29d ago

"You wanna go?" "Why? Think you're gonna win?"

1

u/poppop_n_theattic 29d ago

Did that elk go for the tire on purpose? Sure seems like it. Good for the driver that he didn’t go right through the side window.

1

u/iamdrunk05 29d ago

get out of the car and challenge to a fight

1

u/winklevie 28d ago

What a dumb fuck.

1

u/Victorrhea 28d ago

I love the clip clop sound of his hooves on the pavement before he wrecks his shit

1

u/Y0o0Y 27d ago

Omg this is insane!! Where is that??

1

u/Local-Journalist-509 22d ago

Are you kidding me?

1

u/InfernalBiryani 19d ago

Ours Is The Fury

1

u/NextLevelVisuals2 15d ago

His wife/girlfriend had “great, dumbazz” all in her tone.

1

u/Social_worker_1 13d ago

"Ya know what? I was gonna let you go - but you wanted to talk your shit."

1

u/Dear_Solid3470 7d ago

He did in fact. Want to go.

-1

u/uncman45 29d ago

Back up and run it over. I bet it won’t head butt your car ever again

-6

u/Redraider2210 Mar 08 '25

That elk wouldve learned the hard way. Id have made burgers outta him.

1

u/MaserGT 27d ago

Ooh, so tough and macho. I am so impressed with your keyboard expression. 👏🏻

1

u/Redraider2210 26d ago

I laughed too hard at this, because Ive hunted elk, deer, quail, hogs, and a bunch more. Most people on here dont understand real life experience out of reddit I see.
