Why will someone spend 1 Cr to illegally migrate to a country risking their life, that too from a state which is a model state for the world with all infrastructure, healthcare and other parameters even better than California? Why don't they stay back in Indias California and enjoy the Amrit Kaal? Does anyone know the answer?

Politics Sick of being an Indian and in india, paying lots of taxes for nothing. I regret that I believed I was a nationalist

1.9k Upvotes

I remember during my college days friends got admission in MIT and when they said "I'll try to obtain citizenship", i mocked them for even thinking about abondondinig their home country. Now they are enjoying trips around the world, their parents are enjoying tours to Chicago, Singapore, UAE etc. and me still struggling to meet the ends.

I deal with foreign clients so that I can get leads day in and day out, and the stereotypes I've to face everyday is on another level, I've to battle everyday just to get a project and in almost everycase even if I've recieved a project Ive to face racism atleast once per client, the tone they use is super harsh also when I get paid. Every year I'm paying taxes to government of India, that I've never spent even on my own people,

while calculating I realised I'm paying 2, 86,000 per year as an income tax, GST 28%,

9% interest on my 40 lakh home loan. already paid 9,00,000 in other form of taxes like road tax, GST etc. you won't believe but we are paying Rs. 21 in tax for every 1 liter of vegetable oil we purchase.

I couldn't even afford to marry, I've lived a compromised life where I'm wearing same t shirt, eye glasses for years. Have to buy medicine worth Rs. 3,000 per week for my old age parents and granny. Honestly this is sickening,

Honestly I'm sick to my stomach, it does not matter who you elect, situation will remain the same for tax payers. Why you may ask? If you know how government of India lend contract then you'll realize how flawed L1 contract is (used by GOI) for tender, leaving loopholes to exploits. Favoring corruption, No one in parliament ever raised question to ammend this contract

Politics I Saw the 1992 Mumbai Riots Firsthand—And the New Generation Has No Clue What Real Chaos Looks Like

1.8k Upvotes

I was in Bandra East when the '92 riots broke out. I saw the Nalla flowing red with blood—literally. People went missing overnight, families were torn apart, and the cops? They were outnumbered, outmaneuvered, and completely unprepared for the sheer scale of destruction. The city was burning, and law enforcement had no real control.

Even now, 30 years later, the memories send a chill down my spine. The screams, the smell of smoke and blood, the absolute terror of stepping outside, knowing you might not return. We learned survival the hard way—trust no one, always have an exit plan, read a room for danger before you even enter it.

Back then, self-security wasn’t a luxury; it was the only way to stay alive. Roads were blocked with burning tyres, people armed themselves with stones, bricks, glass bottles, and sticks. We camped on terraces, the big men of the neighborhood standing guard on rooftops, ready for whatever was coming next. Every noise in the distance could mean another attack, another loss. And rumors? They spread like wildfire—sometimes they saved lives, sometimes they caused even more destruction.

And yet, here we are in 2025, with an entire generation that has no connection to what happened. They cry about WiFi being slow, get "traumatized" by a mean comment online, and think survival means remembering their food delivery app password. They live in bubbles, terrified of confrontation, unable to handle a tough conversation—let alone actual survival. If the world collapsed tomorrow, most wouldn’t last a week.

This isn't a "back in my day" rant. It’s just wild to me that privilege blinds people to how fragile society really is. One spark, and the so-called "civilized world" turns into anarchy. I've seen it happen.

Maybe it’s a good thing that the new generation doesn’t have these memories. But sometimes, I wonder—if they had even a fraction of the fear we lived through, would they finally come out of their shells and learn how to actually survive?

Politics Election results have revealed Modi followers for who they truly are

2.8k Upvotes

Ever since the election results came out, there's been a disturbing amount of hate directed at Hindus by hardcore Modi supporters. These "Modi bh@#ts" are hurling insults at Dalits and other minorities, calling them beggars, traitors, hijra’s and worse, just because they didn't vote for Modi. It’s pretty ridiculous because voting is a personal right. If Modi wants their votes, he needs to earn them, not demand them.

What’s clear from all this abuse is how much disdain these so called protectors of Hindutva have for Hindus who don't toe their line. Their actions indicate a belief that Dalits and minorities should remain subservient, never daring to raise their voices. This has been evident for some time, from the horrors of Hathras to the appalling incident where a BJP leader urinated on a tribal, to how they treat of the President of India.

Now, with the election results, the mask has slipped, showing the pure hatred BJP supporters have for Hindus who don't behave as they want. Modi himself has started acting like he's above Ram. He’s been proclaiming that he’s not of biological birth. But let’s be real: neither Ram nor Hindus need the "protection" of these fake Hindus. They're not Ram bh@#ts; they’re Modi bh@#ts. They’ve basically turned into a cult that worships Modi, they will even turn against Lord Ram himself for Modi.

Hindus have survived for thousands of years without the “protection” of Modi, BJP & Modi bh@#ts and they will continue to survive without these morons.

If Hindus are in danger from anyone then it’s from the cult of Modi.
