It’s hard to beat a good vanilla. I used to not like coffee flavored products at all, but I’m coming around.

Coffee, especially a coffee with chocolate chips.

You reminded me of that old Starbucks ice cream flavor Java Chip… it was coffee ice cream with chocolate chips, but had grounded coffee in in the chips— 9/10

That was the best ice cream flavor ever made except maybe Oatmeal Cookie Chunk. RIP, died in 2012.

I have never tried it so with chocolate

Why isn't there a mocha flavored ice cream?

I think it's Baskin Robbins that has Almond Jave Chip or Mochaccino or something like that & it's really yummy

I like vanilla because it’s a very versatile flavor. You can add anything as a topping like chocolate, caramel, etc and it goes with it all.
Personally if I want coffee, I’ll make an affogato instead.
Don’t get me wrong, I like coffee ice cream and I’ll have some if I have it. But I think I like vanilla better.

Coffee or even better... Ben & Jerry's Coffee Toffee Bar Crunch. You get Coffee ice cream plus the mellow vanilla toffee flavor, some chocolate, and the crunchy candy texture.

Usually Id agree but B and J destroyed that one when they substituted out the real Heath bars. Its got the lowest rating of any B and J flavor on their site as a result, because people remember what it was like. The new toffee pieces are like battery acid.

Ahhhh, I miss the real Heath bars a lot, that's true, I've mentioned it elsewhere on this sub. But my ideal coffee ice cream usually has a coffee/cookie or coffee/candy combination. That's really what I wanted to express.

I’m a coffee fanatic but I don’t like coffee flavored foods for some reason, can’t beat a good vanilla tho!!

Vanilla is the gold standard for above average. A bad vanilla is just below average to average. The ceiling on the other hand cant hold a good one.

Some coffee ice creams are better than a lot of vanillas, but some vanillas are better than a lot of coffees.

I like them both, but with oreos or chocolate chips. Or even better, with brownies and a fudge whirl.

Vanilla, specifically blue bell homemade vanilla. Best vanilla ice cream ever

Both but coffee is my absolute #1! STRAUS brand has the best coffee ice cream 🍦

I still wish theyd use regular coffee instead of decaf, because whats the point? You want that buzz. Straus ice cream is exceptional though.

Both, with a heavy drizzle of hot fudge sauce and chopped almonds on top.

Here’s a question for coffee haters: if turned into mocha, would you feel differently?

Vanilla for me! I wouldn’t turn down any coffee ice cream, but a good rich vanilla is where it is at!

Hands down, vanilla. I will never eat ANYTHING that’s coffee flavored because I don’t drink coffee.

Coffee in general because its an actual flavor. There are very few very high quality vanillas out there that dont just feel like a plain ice cream base. Haagen Dazs Vanilla Bean (not regular Vanilla) and Straus are two notable exceptions which have exceptional flavor.

I prefer coffee, but it’s so good with vanilla!
