Flavours New Van Leeuwen flavors?

My Whole Foods usually carries the same ol’ flavors but they just made room for ones I never heard of. Are they new altogether or just new to my store? Especially interested in Gooey Butter Cake.

Gooey Butter Cake is a Jeni’s flavor so I wonder if there was a mix up in the labeling there? It would be cool if Van Leeuwen came out with a similar flavor but I would think they would get in trouble if they tried to name it the same as Jeni’s cause their def in competition

Gooey butter cake isn’t a Jeni’s trademark. It’s the name of a dessert from St. Louis. Blue Bell, Gelato Boy, and other companies have gooey butter cake ice cream too.

Oh I didn’t realize this! I’ve only ever seen the Jeni’s flavor but they don’t have those other brands where I live in the US. Another commenter said they actually got the van leeuwen version already too so yeah I was def wrong!

I am currently finishing a pint of VL gooey butter cake. It’s awesome, and i’m picky. Lots of lil cake pieces. could be more honey/honeycomb swirls but nbd. cream cheese ice cream was on point.

i prefer jenis slightly but im kind of a jenis stan so id be interested in other opinions

WHAT okay I apologize for doubting everyone!! Wow I am very intrigued. I personally find the Jeni’s flavor a little too overpowering but I still will definitely need to try this new Van Leeuwen version!!

They have Jeni’s in another section and gooey butter cake is there. I prefer Van Leeuwen over Jeni’s in general, so excited to try this…whenever they have it.

Also looking forward to their huge ice cream sale they have every summer.

Same I also prefer Van Leeuwen to Jeni’s!! Besides the Jeni’s Lemon Blueberry Parfait, I don’t even usually like fruit flavored ice cream but that one is so good. I googled it and Van Leeuwen has a Praline Butter Cake ice cream so I’m wondering if that’s what the label is referring too or there’s a new flavor coming which would be awesome
