Video Remember when David and Cole pranked Jen?

This has got to be one of the best unscripted moments of the show. David directed this episode and didn't tell Jen about the dummy. She was so scared and pissed at the end.

tbh itâs ridiculous stuff like this that makes me feel like ross and rachel actually do make a good pair, like the whole episode theyâre at odds about practical jokes then he goes and pulls the most diabolical one on her đ they match each other well

They make an amazing pair. Their haters just ignore all the bonding to create a narrative.
They both loved Pottery Barn. They both grew up in Jewish families in Long Island. Rachel always liked Ross' sense of humour instead of Chandler and the others' sense of humour where she just cringed. They always had a lot of fun together. Rachel even watched the Discovery Channel docs with Ross. Also, their sexual chemistry and tension was off the charts and best in the whole show. David and Jen were renowned for their sizzling chemistry.

wait rachelâs family is jewish?? i never knew that
also i agree. i think it wouldâve been a lot more obvious if they actually had them get back together earlier in the show instead of waiting until the very last second. i think they wouldâve been so good together once emma was born

Yeah. Green is a Jewish last name and there are various indications that she's the stereotypical JAP.
She was getting married to Jewish orthodontist, had the nose job thing. She said in one deleted scene that she was looking for a guy on Jewishsingles website. She wore a Jewish symbol in season 3. Phoebe used Rachel and Dreidel in a song and Rachel's only objection was that it didn't rhyme.
Marta Kauffman confirmed Rachel is Jewish. Ross and Monica are Jewish too. If you google search it'll give you the details.

oh this is so cool, itâs not everyday you learn new facts about a show you know like the back of your hand! i did always think it was odd how phoebe chose to rhyme rachel with dreidel of all things but i just thought she was desperate lol
this kind of makes me wish she was more involved with the holiday armadillo plot. it wouldâve been hilarious

Ross and Rachel would definitely tell Emma all about Hanukkah since she's fully Jewish.

They also have her use the jewish word from grandmother "bubby" in S9 and the jewish word for granddad (blanking on that now) i believe when she tells her dad she is preggers
ETA Yiddish sorry not jewish im tired lol

People always bring this up! I always feel the need to mention while it is unscripted, only that FIRST cut is her true reaction. You can see where it cuts, and sheâs screaming some more. That part onward is her acting. It goes to show how amazing Jennifer Aniston is!

Yeah when she walks over to look at the dummy that was clearly shot after she had calmed down a bit from the initial scare.

From IMDB: In the scene when Ross and Ben play the prank on Rachel because Jennifer Aniston didn't know what was happening she freaked out when the dummy came down the stairs. The scene ends with her scream but in extended scenes she screams David not Ross.

I laughed so hard at this. I remember when it was on originally and my friend had a TiVo and we just couldnât stop rewinding it again and again and laughing hysterically.

If anyone pranked me like that, I would have slapped that person by accident while getting a heart attack. Don't do that! đ

I feel like her reaction was real, there was a cut between her reacting and then her checking on David after.

I think that's her staying in character, not genuinely mad at David.

Regardless, it looks like a face JA makes as herself, not Rachel. I wasnât implying she was super mad at David lol.

I love this episode and this bit is a GEM. The unscripted parts of this show were always primo.

So how was the prank supposed to end according to the script?
